History

Established in 1999.

Velocity Network Solutions was founded by former Yahoo! Sr. Network Administrator, Thad Gerber. Thad saw a gap in the IT services market where local businesses were frequently being underserved by technology consulting companies employing inexperienced staff. The goal was not only to create an IT firm that only hired seasoned professionals but could also act as a business’s single resource for all of their technology needs.

Today, we’ve made this a reality by providing Southern California businesses with a wide range of IT solutions including backup & disaster recovery, network security, cloud computing, remote access & support, CIO level IT consultation, vendor management and more… all under the expert guidance of our dedicated and highly experienced technology consultants.

We have been with Velocity now for 3 months. You know they always say it takes 90 days to get through change and all the hurdles and obstacles… well these guys made the transition absolutely stress free with no interruptions what so ever within the first 2 weeks.

Our executive director was traveling to Los Angeles to close several deals. H His laptop stopped working. We needed to get the data recovered from the device and setup with a new laptop on the same day. He was at the office of on of our clients and they use All Bases Covered. We tried to get their help but they said that we would need to sign forms, have someone evaluate the systems and then in 1 – 2 weeks we could get some help. Then I got the call and told my boss to just call Velocity. He got in touch with Thad at the office, and in 10 minutes they had a plan ready to go. They had a loaner laptop that they provided, they made a backup of the hard drive on the bad laptop and restored everything to the new computer. Thad told me that they use a product called Storagecraft. They setup the application to permanently backup the director’s laptop to an external hard drive every day. So if this happens again, he could restore to any computer in 15 minutes! Amazing. The gentlemen at Velocity are SUPERMEN!
