After a few car accidents 15 years ago I now needed help. My husband and mom already went to Dr. Harvey for years (and sang his praises) so now it was my turn. I had excruciating/​burning leg pain that I could no longer ignore, this had basically stopped all activities that I liked doing and even walking was horrible for me. I knew if I went to an orthopedic surgeon that surgery would be in my future and this along with pain pills I didn’t want. I went to Dr. Harvey and he sent me for an MRI, 5 days later he was able to show me on the MRI how really bad/​messed up I was, I was actually worse then we both thought.
I started decompression therapy the next week 3 times a week for about 2 months. He would adjust me before and after the decompression therapy and in the beginning I would pop out of alignment between the first and second adjustment. After 1 month I started to feel just a little bit better and this grew every week.
Currently all that pain is gone and I’m back to walking one and a half miles a day, I now go to him once a month for a «tune up»! I now realize I should have gone to Dr. Harvey much sooner instead of waiting until I almost couldn’t walk, I had warning signs years ago and ignored them. I always felt that chiropractors were great for everyone else but me but I have changed that attitude and am really grateful to Dr. Harvey, and as a bonus, Maria on his staff is terrific and a pleasure to talk to.

Two years ago I really screwed up my lower back. At times the pain was so intense I couldn’t walk, drive, or even stand up for more than a minute. I went to see my family doctor and he sent me off to get an MRI of my lower back. The MRI revealed two bulged discs that were pressing on my spinal cord. I wasn’t happy about taking pain medication or the thought of back surgery so I did some research on line and learned about spinal decompression.
I went in to see Dr. Harvey about spinal decompression. He spent time with me explaining bulged discs, spinal injuries, and how decompression can help. He was very friendly and took the time to answer all my questions.
After the first few treatments I was able to get around much better and my pain had been reduced by about 50%. When I finished the treatments the pain had been reduced by about 80%. Now I go in for maintenance and chiropractic treatment. Today I’m 90% pain free and want to keep it that way.
I recommend Dr. Harvey to family and friends.

A little over a year ago I was rear ended pretty badly. After some MRIs and months of crippling pain I faced my worst nightmare, I had four herniated disks in my lower and mid back. One being my sciatica. I had shooting pain in my left leg and I wasn’t able to keep my healthy and incredibly active lifestyle.
I went from working in the film industry working on my dreams, hiking, climbing, doing martial arts and keeping in shape to barely able to sit through a 90 minute film, drive more than a 30 min (which is impossible here in LA, and keep up with my peers physically. I was depressed and almost hopeless with overwhelming pain daily and through the night. My injuries were effecting everything in my life and that’s not an exaggeration.
I was at my wits end after months with another «Chiropractor» had amounted to very little resolution to my pain and suffering. All I wanted was my old self back. After a quick search on herniated disks online I found the results on the DRX-​9000, a de compression device that had shown a lot of promise and had relieved many of similar injuries. I found four Chiropractors and of all that I met Dr. Harvey was the one that struck me as being actually willing to help me, one that wouldn’t try to just upswell me and take advantage of my pain and hope for relief.
Dr. Harvey was 100% honest with me, he broke down how the machine worked, the process, he shot X-​ray of my neck which had also been bothering me and game me advice on the treatment.
For those that qualify for the DRX this is my advice, stick with it. It’s painful at first but it took me time to adjust to it. 4 – 5 sessions in and I could already feel it’s effects. My back was less sore, I could sleep through the night and my mobility was coming back. By the time I was done with my sessions and Dr. Harvey released me I was down from 8 on the pain scale to a 1 with most of my flexibility and movement back.
Maria! Dr. Harvey’s assistant is an incredible person. She is kind, uplifting and very informative. Both of them together made my experience less like a hassle and more like a memorable visit. And MARIA IS A GREAT MASSEUSE and works out of the office for their patients.
I cannot recommend this place and Dr. Harvey any more. It was the smartest thing I did for my injury.

I wasn’t even sure a chiropractor was what I needed and it was my first time ever going to a chiropractor, but I am glad I found Dr. Harvey. He took care of the pain and gave a thorough explanation of everything that was going on and what was being done and was very good to me overall. Highly recommended.

I began seeing Dr Harvey regularly about 5 years ago. Since I started receiving regular chiropractic care from Dr Harvey my health really transformed. At least twice a year I used to get sick with strep throat or some other kind of bad flu that I could only recover from with antibiotics and weeks of rest. Since my treatment I have had 2 minor colds in five years and haven’t needed antibiotics since. My posture, breathing, ability to sleep well, immune system and general health and wellbeing has completely changed and my life is so much better as a result. I could not have gotten to this stage without Dr Harvey and his team.

My husband introduced me to Dr Harvey. He has MS and benefited greatly from Dr Harvey’s adjustments. I had a fear of chiropractors and was hesitant but my back and neck spasms were getting to be out of control. During my first visit, x-​rays showed I suffered from a head tilt, forward head posture, short leg and mild scoliosis. This news would normally be devastating to me but Dr Harvey explained my course of treatment and I left feeling motivated. 3 months later my X-​rays show so much improvement that I no longer have scoliosis (by definition). Fixing my issues required «homework» of neck exercises but it has just become part of my routine like brushing my teeth!
My forward head posture has also improved. I used to be sluggish all day but now I feel reborn! I will continue treatment for my neck and spine but now need fewer adjustments.
Finally, the Doctor does not just adjust you and send you on your way. He explains the course of treatment, why warm ups and cool downs are necessary and is a wealth of knowledge. I have a new found respect for Chiropractors thanks to Dr Harvey. What a wonderful experience it has been!

I’ve been seeing chiropractors since I was in my teens (spine screwed up from accidents). These chiros would adjust and in all cases the muscles would pull everything back out of alignment (& because of ligament damage in my neck). I kept going back as it was temporary relief from pain and thought eventually the adjustments would stay. They never did. I wasted 10s of thousands on these chiros over the years, so much time and unnecessary pain (& damage caused by repeated poor adjustments). Additionally, the pain steadily grew worse and I lived with pain at a level of 5 – 8 daily. I couldn’t work without excruciating pain and the only thing I could do comfortably was lay down. This is at an age of only 36. Now, thanks to Dr Harvey pain is at a 0 – 3. The majority of the time it’s 0.
Dr Harvey is the only one I’ve met so far (in my decades of experience with chiros) who learned how to do his job effectively, find the root cause of chronic issues and address them so that everything isn’t immediately pulled back out of alignment. As he says «if you can measure it, you can fix it». He’s the only one that spotted the ligament damage, fixed the spinal alignment, halted the excruciating headaches (from a bone in my neck that was rotated out 90°), got me off the heel lift which nearly crippled me, & removed the two bulges in my lower back.
Other chiropractors might be fine for you if you don’t have chronic issues. Beware, though, they might create new problems.
What he’s done so far for me:
–thorough assessment of full spine through xray analysis
–head weight to train muscles in neck to compensate for ligament damage and keep neck straight and aligned, no more migraines
–assigned regular exercise regimen that corrects crooked posture and weaknesses leading to misalignment, & chronic pain
–tractioning lower back on machine to heal bulges (I had 2)
***5 months later still doing great. From my first treatment in November to now April, back at the gym doing p90x but carefully. Have noticed that coffee, poor diet (like processed food) can damage progress.
***6 weeks later & overall pain levels are down to 0 – 3. I haven’t felt this free of pain since I was a pre-​teen. I never thought I would feel good like this. I’ve had days where I feel so good I feel like I could run (while going for walks).
This guy is a gift to mankind. The other less than competent doctors should swallow their pride, overcome their mental laziness and get with the program of actually healing people instead of treating people with chronic conditions as cash cows.
***over 1 year later and I stand by the original review still. It hasn’t been cheap. But being in a wheel chair or sustaining liver damage from pain medication would be worse
***over 2 years later and I’ve discovered that doing difficult but careful work at that gym such as deadlifts, clean& presses, & squats help my condition stabalize. The posture exercises he gives aren’t quite enough. seriously hard work is what does it, but your condition may differ. My condition was chronic due to two difficult issues in two critical places.

Dr. Harvey provides effective and measurable improvement. I was experiencing shooting pains up the back of my head, which was debilitating. Dr Harvey used the Pettibon system restore the curve in my neck and strengthen my neck muscles. He took an X-​ray before we started then after 2 months of working with me. Rotation improved by 12% and the curve was restored by 18% — IN 2 MONTHS! This is after years of suffering. I continue to see Dr. Harvey twice a month for maintenance. Oh… the shooting pains have been gone for years. After several car accidents, getting rid of that pain was a true challenge.
Dr. Harvey is knowledgeable and professional — if you want a ‘clown doctor’, forget about it. If you want results and do what he tells you do to (yes, there IS patient participation) you will see results without surgery or the need for pain killers.
His staff has always been professional and friendly. You feel welcome when you walk in and the setting is comfortable.
If you’re in pain and haven’t received long-​lasting results from other chiropractors, you need to see Dr Harvey. He is regularly attending classes to get ongoing education so he is never stuck in «what has always been done.»

Fantastic experience. I typically don’t go to chiropractors, but a regular doctor specifically recommended that I seek out the services of a chiropractor.
I hadn’t been to a chiropractor in more than 20 years, so I didn’t know what to expect. The last chiropractor I went to saw me on a «continuous repeat visit» plan. He expected me to come to his office every week, forever. Dr. Harvey was very different. He laid out a short, clear plan, and told me to see how I felt at the end. I felt great, and have no plans to continue that specific area of treatment at this time.
His rates were also reasonable. I expected the service he provided to cost a lot more than it did. My schedule is awkward, and he worked around my schedule to ensure that he could see me when I was available.
If I ever need adjustments or spinal work of any kind, Dr. Harvey is MY chiropractor. He should be yours as well.

Dr. Harvey is awesome. I’ve been seeing him for about 6 years now. A lot of chiropractors shove you back into alignment and you feel it for days after. Dr. Harvey has a knack of knowing the instant your muscles relax and just popping things to where they’re supposed to be, so you don’t ache for a day afterwards. Everyone there is friendly and things move along. And he knows his stuff — some chiropractors I’ve seen only go by what you tell them is hurting, you can tell Dr. Harvey the symptoms you’re having (headache, arm hurts, runny nose, etc.) and he’ll know what’s out of place.

I have been seeing Dr. Harvey as needed for many years and was shocked at the review by Megan B., so I looked at her other reviews. They were all for Dr.‘s and all bad. I just think this woman has some serious issues and not of the physical kind, if you get my drift. Dr. Harvey is always professional, kind, and I feel much better after. The office staff rocks as well!
