This place is very good and the service is always phenomenal. The price is pretty good considering it’s seafood and there is really not many places like this around the area. I’ve been here many times and the servers are all great with a great attitude. During the summer its very warm though and their AC unit is not the greatest. Would suggest they get some fans in there, if it’s not crowded you should be fine.

Came here to celebrate Father’s Day. Jason was amazing with our party of 7 and his suggestions were helpful. The calamari was delicious and the combination of sweet and spicy was perfect. The food was wonderfully seasoned. We had a pound of shrimp in Cajun with Louisiana style(2 corns on the cob, 2 whole red potatoes, and Louisiana sausage), a pound in spicy lemon pepper, and two pound of shrimp in their drunk special. The Cajun was my favorite. You have to peel your shrimp and although they provide you with bibs and plastic gloves, it can get messy. We ordered different sides(regular fries, cajun fries, sweet potato fries). The Cajun fries were amazing, not spicy at all.

Wanted to try this place for a while and hit it last night for a business meeting. Great rowdy shrimp shack vibe with cool folks wanting a beer and shrimp. Seated super quick and the service was pretty good and proficient. I liked it, there was no messing around and the server was helpful with the menu etc. The food was pretty good by LA standards; shrimp were tasty and messy, fish and chips are fresh, calamari was tight in a cornmeal batter. Have I had better — yes, but in Louisiana which I’m not in right now. Great authentic tastes. I would go back and order anything that comes in a bag with sauce all over it. I can see why this place gets great reviews and why people head all the way into the valley for this joint.

We’ll start with the good, then the meh. There’s really no bad. The staff is super friendly and nice. That’s the first thing. That was nice to walk into a place that makes you feel like they’re glad you’re there. The food came out incredibly fast. Like surprisingly so. We ordered a pound of shrimp Louisiana style(with corn, potatoes and sausage) mild with the garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was legit. The waiter suggested it and it was good. Their mild is just that. But flavorful with a *tiny* kick so you can taste the flavor without burning your tongue but just a little heat. Could’ve gone with medium but I like it. The shrimp is HUGE. Big and flavorful. I read someone else’s review that they were over cooked but not this batch. Each shrimp was juicy. Dig it. We also got the truffle fries which were really good, but for $ 8.95, I could’ve used more of them in the basket. Now the meh. The sausage was ok. There were only 4 pieces in the bag. But it was in the garlic flavor so they tasted good. I also ordered two single oysters. They were a little stale and lacked any real flavor. A half dozen costs $ 16(which is insane). Glad I only got 2 of them. And I ordered the crab bisque which was… acceptable. The bread bowl it came in was tasty but there was no crab in the bisque. There was a king crab leg sticking out of it which was good for presentation but I’d rather not have to work for the crab in my soup. And I liked that they gave us plastic gloves with our bibs… However the oily sauce still dripped through the gloves. So, pointless? I still had to wash my hands thoroughly but at least I didn’t have to wash my whole arm like at Boiling Crab. Final review: an acceptable substitute for anyone in the Valley who doesn’t want to drive all the way to Koreatown or Arcadia THEN stand in a line at BC.

Our group ordered Dungeness crab, chicken wings, calamari, jambalaya and Cajon fries. It was a regular hump day for family and friends. A nice time to chat and share conversation over food and drinks. I particularly found the jambalaya quite oily and so is the calamari. With our bibs on who cares, we look good drunk.

The food is great here. Very much comparable to hot n juicy and the boiling crab. No frills. And the waitress was very friendly.

Hmmmm… sorry but this place is not as good as boiling crab. Why? Ordered 1 lb of shrimp(only comes by pound) with their drunken special(tomato base with garlic, butter and beer) mild spicy. Food came out pretty fat because it was not busy. The shrimps are huge! Smells really good and very hot! But sadly the shrimp was over cooked. The meat was tough. Had to finish it because it’s bad to waste food. Also ordered the dungeoness crab legs because our server recommended it and the meat was sweet out of the 3 choices. Got it with drunken special sauce, mild spicy and added Louisiana style(comes with 2 corn, potatoes and a sausage). Came out the same time with the shrimps and pipping hot. The meat was not sweet, the meat was over cooked and tough. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The service was good. Came to check on us occasionally. Was disappointed at the seafood. Did not enjoy the food. BUT! The corn, potatoes and sausage was very good! I do recommend getting it with your order! It’s only $ 5 extra. I wanted to try the clams. Maybe I should have gotten those instead of the shrimp. But that’s fine, this place is too far from home for me to come back. I’ll stick to my boiling crab.

Good times, good family fun. Waiters and waitresses are cool and down to earth. The food is great and I always leave satisfied. My recommendation is the shrimp and the king crab legs(both Luisiana style) The garlic butter is ridiculously good, but plan on having dragon breath for 24hrs or so… I can’t speak for the oysters/mussels yet because I haven’t had them here. Ryan who is one of the managers is a cool dude and will often come and check on the service.

Wowza. We got the shrimp bag and Louisiana style(corn, sausage, potato) crawfish, with a side of white rice and a beer. 40 bucks. Pricing is great considering it’s seafood. The crawfish and shrimp were HUGE. The medium spicy Cajun sauce was delicious but be warned medium spicy is still quite spicy. My man got the tomato based house sauce — tasty as well, more of a simple flavor and really delicious and not spicy. The service was phenomenal, Justin was really nice and courteous and I think next time we will come for happy hour which is after 5pm M-Th. Thursday they have $ 5 off beers and that makes a beer $ 2 – 3!!! They also have Saturday and Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosa.

This is a response to the comment that Claire S made! OK so you didn’t like the way she talk to you then why didn’t you complained to the manager at the moment that that happened why are you complaining here at this app if that was me and that girl was give me attitude I would talk to the manager right there and then not come here and write about it is better to talk to in person with the manager right next to them. Oh so you say this happened a couple of Sundays ago why are you writing about it now you should of written this review on the day it happen anyways I’ve been there before Miriam such a sweet girl she’s always helping me out with my orders to go always such a pleasure to talk to always saying hi how are you asking how my day is going that place needs people like that and I work in the restaurant business I used to a manager and is Miriam is a type a host I would of love to had. But I’m glad you enjoy your dinner it would of been better if you talk to the manager then like a said that way they could’ve probably giving you a free meal or discount for the inconvenience

We spent $ 100 on overcooked seafood. We left feeling pretty short-changed. Our main complaint was that a lot of the mussels we ordered were MIA and the texture was awful, almost inedible. It was just a bunch of shells, and a few fallen pieces of mussel that weren’t enough to account for all the empty shells. As for the few mussels we did manage to devour, the texture was reminiscent of rubber. I don’t think anything we ordered was fresh. The flavor was inexplicable… I know they say they use a mixture of tomato base, garlic butter and beer for the drunken special, but all I tasted was the tomato base, so if you’re into seafood flavored with an extremely watery, spaghetti-like sauce, you’ve hit the jackpot. I’m pretty disappointed that there are so many amazing reviews. It was misleading. The food is overhyped and underwhelming. I think I’ll stick to the Boiling Crab, Kickin’ Crab, and The Shack.

Since they first opened, I’ve been absolutely obsessed! Cajun spicy shrimp bucket, Louisiana style(two cut corn, two red potatoes and 1 sausage cut in fours) is my weakness! I always order a side of Cajun fries, and love how they always come out fresh. Don’t bother with the oysters! They are extremely tiny, not even worth it. The prices are never consistent. Seems like every time I come here, the prices go up.(And I come very often 2 – 3 times a month!) If I’m going to pay 15 for a pound of shrimp, I might as well go to Redondo and sit by the beach with a view! Plus the services here sucks. Prepare to wait for the waiter to come around.

I’ve been waiting to try another location(which I won’t named). But it’s infamous for having long lines. My tummy is impatient, so when I found out that there’s a nearby location. I thought, heck why not? I visited a few times, mostly during lunch hours in the weekdays and the lines was next to nothing. SCORE! Though I have to say that it does get jam packed during dinner time. But parking is never been a problem. I mostly always get the shrimp with the cajun sauce Louisiana style. Yum. Laissez les bon temps roulez indeed. Shrimp cooked perfectly. Still plump. With the added potatoes, corn, and sausages, you feel like you just had a great block party meal from New Orleans. They have beer, but no hard liquor. Which is fine. But I must declare, why aren’t there any Abita beer? Just a minor suggestion. ;)
