So satisfied with my order from Remo — we are a school and placed a big order, and Mike was fantastic putting it all together to us and making suggestions about what we needed. Was easy to reach and our drums got delivered in a timely manner. Definitely recommend!

My 500^th review! I took Baby C to the Kids’ Rhythm Club on Saturday morning, and it’s pretty interesting. The balance of instructor led vs. freestyle is nice. You can follow along with the 3 teachers, but if your child likes to do his or her own thing, that’s cool too. The selection of drums & instruments is great, and it’s all there for you to try out. Parents are encouraged to drum along, if your little one allows it. Baby C sometimes wanted me to drum with him, and sometimes I was only allowed to shake maracas.
The kids class is offered at 9:30am and 11am, and there’s a reason I’m giving 3 stars. Overall, it’s a good value at $ 5 per adult and kids are free. However, for the 9:30am class they stop at 10:05. I wish they would stretch out the class a little longer, since going until 10:15 or 10:20 would still give their instructors a nice break. We come from from Pasadena & the drive to Remo Music Center ends up being longer than the class, so I’m not sure how often I’ll be doing this. Overall, it’s a fun kind of music appreciation activity that you can do with your kids.

EXPERIENCE:
This was the last stop The Crew and I hit one Saturday while hiking in the area. The interior of this jam local is a huge space both horizontally and vertically… makings for great acoustics. We were greeted by our jam session leader who schooled us in the beating of the skin.
As we each took a seat in a circle of chairs, each with a drum in front waiting to be straddled and beaten, our jam session leader reminded us, it’s not going to sound good at first, but you’ll get the hang of it and you will have fun.
Close your eyes, put your hands flat on the drum. Slide your hands over the drum, feel the skin of the drum with the palm of your open hands. That’s how we introduced ourselves to the tightly pulled strip of leather. It is so soft. So taut. With our eyes still closed and still getting to know our drum, we hit the skin in different places, to get an ear for the different sounds of the drum,
The instructor played a beat, we repeated the sound, to the best we could, of course. After several bouts of this he had us do solo eight count of our own choosing. Of course, the 10 year kid had the best beat of us all. As he looped his count, we all followed suit and it instructor took a second beat to the foreground. And good golly, wouldn’t you know it, we sounded pretty darn good. Either that or we were just having way too much fun.
Going in, all we wanted to do was come out having learned something and have fun doing it. We had achieved our goal. We might not have sounded like Tommy Lee or Neil Peart, but hey, we weren’t using sticks.
Coming to Remo Rec, was a great way to end another adventure with The Crew.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the drum circle on sat mornings. My son has been enjoying them for years, and now my daughter is joining in on the fun.
They provide tons of beautiful drums, tambourines, shakers and mallets for everyone. There are lots of regular faces and the folks who lead the circle are just wonderful. They do a lot of sing-​a-​long and there’s usually a little dance party going on atop the mini stage. Occasionally, piano is incorporated as well. I usually have Queen’s «We Will Rock You» stuck in my head for the rest of the day. So, be warned.
The event used to be free, now it’s $ 5 per child. Which is a total steal!
It’s so kind of Mr. Remo to open the doors of the shop to the community for these kinds of events. Honestly, I was shocked to see a 3 star review of an ongoing awesome event THAT WAS FREE!
Definitely check out the shop, there are well crafted drums and percussion instruments that make perfect gifts or beginner drums for the youngsters.

Every Tuesday night 7−8pm, Community day, FREE drum class.
They provide great selection of drums and other instruments. There is a leader to guide the class. We didn’t have any prior experience playing drums but the class is very simple. Just follow the beat and have some fun! After the class, totally stress free~
There is private parking lot behind the building (FREE)

Love the kids drum on saturdays morning!
More than a year coming here and the kids still love it.
And the most important thing is that a lot of nice people work here too!

Quick update, the kids drum circle is no longer free, and subsequently much less crowded and energetic. We were there for the first try-​out with charging patrons in September and it was a HUGE difference. My question is… are they making more or less money now that they charge? I hope they can find the sweet spot, we don’t mind paying, but obviously others do.

Great place for world drum/​percussion instruction and for buying REMO instruments!

My one year old daughter and I just got back from the early Saturday morning drum circle and we just LOVED it. I don’t know who liked it more, her or me!
This is an amazing place to connect with your inner hippie. Everyone is happily banging on drums and the energy in the room is magical. We will definitely be back! Maybe even with Birkenstocks and a tie dyed shirt on next time!

My kids were initially at a loss for what to do. I could see it in their faces: what, I can touch things? I can beat these drums as loud as I like? If I want to dance sing and make noise, its alright?
Yes, my noisy little monsters, go ahead. Get it out of your system… Lord knows we all need to do that from time to time.
The staff lead the kids just enough to keep it from descending into chaos. Its adorable when the little ones just get up there and get their tribal rhythm groove on, and everybody is into it.

This place is AWESOME! I took my 1 year old to the drum circle they offer on Saturday mornings. So much fun!
The guy leading the drum circle was so nice and really great with the kids. And there were a lot of kids! like 40 – 50? The room is huge and set up with a lot of drums, sticks and shakers. There is plenty for everyone. They also offer a little open mic time where kids can go up and sing while the whole room drums along. What a great way to build confidence in our little ones! So empowering!
A few little details: decent parking lot in the back, sanitary wipes for when the kids stick all the instruments in their mouths, ear plugs for the little ones, donation based and there’s a little play area when you first walk in for babies!
What a great asset to the community! Will try to make it a regular thing for my little one!

Lovely place to liberate the mind and get as close as possible to dancing without leaving your seat.
Think a percussionist cave of wonders… You come as you are, park in the back of that boring industrial warehouse and as you open the door and swap aside the rosary curtain a whole lot, hundreds of drums in all shape and sizes, from all countries are at your service. Choose a drum grab a chair and join the circle of drummers in all levels. Everybody’s welcome, no odd stares if you missed a bit, strayed out of rhythm or been rolling to your own drum for a while. The rhythms roll and change along an hour. Some layout and play a few drums at once, other go back and swap their drum for another. Yesterday jammed at that Remo weekly drumming circle. The whole pleasure for $ 3… If you’re around L. A

This place rocks! They have drum circles almost every night of the week, classes, workshops and even birthday parties. This is a mom and pop shop compared to REMO Inc. located in Valencia. Remo and Ami have put their heart and soul into this place and have created a second home for many people who come to the drum circles here. The employees are extremely friendly and welcoming… Nothing but great things about the Remo RMC

I try to come to the Kids Drum Circle every Saturday with my 2.5 year old son and WE LOVE IT! The drum circle and the facilitators are great, and I wouldn’t be able to think of a single way to improve it. And it’s amazing to see how my son is constantly improving his rhythm. He’s now obsessed with drumming and will often spontaneously beatbox his own rhythms or «rumble» on a random piece of furniture. Every time we see a live band, he asks «what’s the drummer’s name, papá» (in spanish). So thank you REMO.

Awesome! My 2 year old son and I just LOVE coming here Saturday mornings! Such a great way to get the weekend started! The drum circle leaders and all the staff are full of energy, and you can tell they genuinely love their job and what they do! :)

I can’t believe i have never heard of their free saturdays drum circle until now.
We are taking our 3 year old for speech therapy and we told the lady who works with him that he loves to dance and sing, so she gave me the name of this place and said to check them out and since used to have a REMO drumset, i know REMO very well. Im so glad she did.
They have the drum circle every saturday and the first sunday of every month, my wife and I took our 3 year old this past saturday AND sunday and we loved it.
We will be definately going every week and we already told our co-​workers about it and they said they are gonna bring their kids next weekend.
The 2 times we have gone there, there were 2 different guys playing host to the drum circle and they both were really cool guys and they seemed like them had fun with the kids.
I would definately recommend taking your kids there to beat, play, sing and just have fun for 45 minutes.

Babies, kids, parents, grandparents, friends… they were all there. What a great way to start a weekend morning… drumming, singing, clapping, and shaking noisemakers!
The drum circle’s leader, and the rest of the staff were friendly, energetic, and fantastic.
It’s quite a drive from the Westside but well worth it!

Tuesday night throw down!
This is a massive drum center that any drum fan would love to check out. Come here on Tuesday nights and take part in their MASSIVE drum circle. It’s a circle that has a leader and is a lot of fun.
You can use all of their drums on the walls. They’ve got hand drums, noise makers, etc.
This is a GREAT place to take a kid or if you want to do something fun on a Tuesday.
Don’t half step. If you have your own drum you should bring it and mark it so they know that it’s yours.
