This place is BOMBBBB!!! Best philly cheese steak sandwich you will ever have!!! Well done the bread is perfectly toasted their fries are also really good! The man that owns the place is very nice and family oriented! I would definitely recommend this place for some good philly! There’s just a little bit of a down side… The area gets really busy and parking is not the best but it’s worth it :) enjoyyyyy you won’t regret it

maybe best cheesesteak but worst service ever. I walk in to place my order and the nice man behind the counter asks what I’d like. I tell him and take a seat in the restaurant. I wait 20 minutes and ask the old Russian lady if my food is ready. she says you didn’t place an order because you didn’t pay and then mocks me for placing the order with the chef. ughhh… ridiculous!

I am FROM Philly. This is not even close to a real cheesesteak. Garbage. Just look at the pics — it looks like rat meat wit Kraft singles for cheese, plus the roll is totally off and really small.

DO NOT GO THERE! they think its acceptable for people finding hair in their food, i doubt they even wash their hands, the workers are sooo rude probably paid less then minimum wage from this lady and couldnt care less about the job. I came here and ordered phillie cheese steak sanwhich it cost 9.80 and it was disgusting it must have been the worst steak sandwich i have ever tried ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE, its all mushed up it didnt have no cheese, and its soo unhygienic it looks sloppy and unsafe be aware !!

hard to give this place even two stars. the bread tastes like something youde sweep out of a chimney after years of filtering-​up asbestos and char-​cake. the 13 $ for a 9″ sandwich is about 5 dollars overpriced by any decent standards of a sandwich, which this was far below. The local ‘celebrity’ pictures on the wall are all wash ups and smalltimers, although I wouldn’t wish the horror of this food on anybody, even the phonies who’ve taken over hollywood and work at the nearby studios. the sad thing is — the owners are an old couple who look like nice people, I hope they take my advice and revamp the food quality, the restaurant itself is nice and reminds me of some of the genuine spots in philly. at the very least — get some new bread!

I got a regular cheesesteak with mushrooms. I didn’t ask for tomato sauce? I’m from Philly, these are not Philly cheesesteaks, if anything it would have wiz on it not tomato sauce… This taste like a pizza, total disgrace to Philadelphia and that’s hard to do!

If I had to describe this place in one word, that would be it. The food took a while to be ready, which normally doesn’t bother me, but my fiancé and I were the only ones there. We ordered the Philly mushroom steak and the chicken wrap. Bread was nicely toasted, and the meat was juicy. You wouldn’t expect there to be too much food (and there wasn’t), but at least it was relatively filling. In the end though, I don’t think I got $ 30 worth of food. It was halfway decent, but with the parking difficulty and the high prices, I doubt that I’ll be coming back.
Moreover, my stomach is really upset, and has been for almost 2 hours now, so be prepared.

This is another place I have been coming to since I was a child. My dad used to bring us here, even when we moved to Vegas and would return to LA on business trips. This was always a must stop. The owners are almost always there and very nice. Their macaroni salad contains cheese and dill, and is amazing. I keep meaning to ask for the recipe to see if they’d be willing to share it with me. The cheese steaks are good, and they even have a chicken steak sandwich which is delicious with Swiss cheese, mushrooms and onions. I used to live right around the corner from here, and visited a lot at the time. Now I try to stop in whenever I am in that part of town.

I use to come here every time I wanted a Philly cheesesteak. The flavor has changed sligthly and although it’s still good, it’s not the same as they use to be a few years ago. The meat portion are smaller. The bread is still delicious. The taste resembles many of the cheesesteaks from the places in Philly.

Chicken philly was good. Had somewhat a strong taste i couldnt quite grasp, but very good besides that.

Had Philly cheesesteak and pastrami sandwich. They were pretty good. I tend to be disappointed by many local places and I’m glad they actually look like their picture and taste satisfaction

Honestly, I don’t throw out 5 stars to just any business. But this place really warranted it. I cannot think of any reason to give it less than 5 stars. This place was clean professional welcoming and delicious. All of the food that we ordered tasted homemade and genuine. The Philly cheese steak that I ordered tasted fresh with real ingredients. It was a little pricey, but that is probably because after eating my 9 inch Philly cheese steak sandwich with everything, I was still wanting more. Not because it didn’t fill me up, but rather that it was so delicious that I wanted more. This place wasn’t fine dining but it was the real deal. Real dining. I thoroughly enjoyed this place, and the next time I am wanting a good genuine East Coast Philly cheesesteak, I will be coming back to patronize them. They also have a variety of beers and fountain drinks.

I’ve never had an actual «Phillie Cheese Steak» from Philadelphia. Growing up in Los Angeles, you often encounter sandwich shops that specialize in «Phillip cheese steak» sandwiches, which were blah! In addition, there are those corporate and franchise chains as well.
My friend had introduced me to this place back in 2009. I frequent this place while in the area, and craving for red meat. Philidelphia Sandwiches, is by far the best cheese steak sandwiches I’ve had (in my opinion). This is a mom and pop place, it’s owned and ran by a married couple. Based on previous reviews, people would leave smart /​mean remarks about an old couple running the place. In my honest opinion, it’s irrelevant. I think these haters didn’t make the audition, as a result there take it out on these humble business owners… You can always take the sub way!!!
There is a saying you get what you pay for, and I don’t mind paying a few extra dollars for good delicious quality food. This place is also frequented by celebrity’s as well, and you just may encounter one. Just look at their celebrity wall of fame!
Keep up the good work and service!

This place used to be great. Always has been way too expensive but now they r duced the amount of meat you get on your sandwich and higered the price. The owners are not friendly people.
I think it’s one of those «old dogs» don’t want to do «new tricks» kind of a thing.

This Philly Cheesesteak spot is The Spot to go to. My family has been coming here ever since they opened. When my father worked for the power company in North Hollywood, he would always come here on his breaks for one of the best sandwiches he says he has ever had. He brought me here when I was 10 when I appreciated food and was not too picky and ordered it the way he always did: Extra Everything!!! When the server brought out the food, I was hesitant of course because it was something new. But that first bite… that first bite was everything to me. Crusty bread, cheesy goodness, caramelized peppers and onions, and flavorful meat. It may not be a «Official Philly». But you know what, it is official to me and the memories I have associated with this place.

Very little meat, no cheese, no peppers or onions on the philly cheesesteak sandwich and the bread was stale! When I called to discuss this, the man listened, handed the phone to a lady only to have the lady tell me she was too busy to hear this and the sandwich doesn’t come with peppers or onions unless you order it! Umm, in the picture thats exactly what it shows. Not to mention, what philly cheesesteak doesn’t have peppers or onions?

Okay, let’s get something straight and get it out of the way…
Yes, it is not an original Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. No they do not use cheese wiz, and no they do not claim to be original Philly Steak Sandwiches… You happy? Content? Okay, lets get down to business.
Philadelphia Sanwiches is a unique and taste gem in the heart of the NoHo Arts District. Next to the famous republic of pie is a blast from the past with the best steak sandwiches in town or in any surrounding areas.
The Philly Cheesesteak with everyting is my absolute favorite places in the whole wide world. So much flavors and yet not like every other «steak escape» restaurants. The steak/​onion sauce that they marinade the meat in is superb. mixed with mushroom and bell peppers, american cheese, and chuck steak… please go and check it out… not because of the fact that it has been apart of my life for 15+ years… but because if you can try this and tell me there is a better steak sandwich out there, i want to know about it! but first, you need to try it! i highly doubt you will find another place like Philly Sandwiches. The Elvis/​Marilyn/​James Dean shrines all over the restaurant are a cool plus. To bad the juke box doesn’t work anymore. Enjoy, and hit me up for the challenge.

I am giving this place five stars because it had exactly what I wanted, a good Philly cheesesteak! Ever since a visit to Philly last month, I have been craving a decent cheesesteak and this place delivers.
The place wasn’t busy, but the décor was fun and would be a decent low-​key place to sit and eat. I took my cheesesteak to go.
Service was good, people were nice, and I very much enjoyed my cheesesteak.

I was under the impression I had rated this place before. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. No excuse!
I love their beef hoagies which are grilled to perfection and reasonably priced. I’ve told my friends from Philly it comes with cheese but not cheez whiz or whatever other types of cheese they my put on it. Here it’s the way it’s made with slices of a white cheese (no, I don’t know). You get your choice between small (damned big) or large (damned bigger). The «with everything» means what you think, with EVERYTHING! Mushrooms, onions, cheese and bell pepper.
The restaurant is now open is now open on Sundays a gret benefit for those of us who watch Pro-​football.
Go! you won’t be sorry and your pockets or pocketbook won’t be destroyed as the prices are reasonable.
