I had a great experience when I was walk-​in and they did take a good care of me. I did feel like they know me for years. Up front staff answered every question I had and they were extremely helpful. I’m definitely coming back!

This place is great. I been coming here for the past 6 years for my optometry needs. The doctors are great, the staff is great with just a few minor issues with customer service. I spoke to Olga a few times on the phone, and although she means well, I think her customer skills can be a little better. You have to understand you are at work, and you WILL BE asked the same questions multiple times a day, but you have to be nice to the customer… Even if I don’t seem like im going to be buying today, always be nice to the customer. That is the #1 rule. Thank god the lab guy is back. He fitted me with some nice frames the other day, and I couldn’t be happier.

I been going to the office with my all my family since 1994. This past experience has been the worst in all my years there. Maria us the best, she always tries her best to give her best customer service. Olga in the other hand is the worst of worst that a person can have in an office setting. I went in for an eye exam in August on a Saturday was suppose to get a call back on Tuesday from Olga for status on my RX and insurance and never heard back. When I called back to speak to Maria she was on vacation, Olga was so extremely rude, unprofessional, arrogant ughhhhhg I can’t deal with her!!! I asked if I could speak to a supervisor and I got… Olga. Damn really, I don’t want to deal with Olga ever while I’m a patient in the office. She never called me to try to address the issue or concerns. I really like going there because of my long history of care but I don’t think I’m going back as long as Olga is there.

This place is AWESOME! They are super friendly and have the best deals. I look forward to doing business with them again. A huge THANK YOU to OLGA for saving the day by getting me the lenses I needed. Thank you Optical Eye Care Center you now have a forever customer and friend in me.

I brought my daughter in to get an eye exam before going back to school. The Dr. was very nice and attentive. We were in and out within 30 min! She got herself some very cute purple glasses! The best part was that her glasses came within a week or 2 (we have medical) so i was expecting it to take a month at least! Will recommend this place to family & friends.

My left eye had gotten swollen the night before and I was not sure if it was just a minor irritation or something worse.
I called and Maria said they were completely booked today, but that I could come in and get seen.
I was hesitant after reading Unilocal bad reviews about «Olga», but went in anyways, without an appointment.
Maria took my info, and assured me that I would be seen by the doctor.
I thought I would be there, waiting hours.
Instead, the doctor saw me after about 10 minutes.
Later on, I mentioned getting a regular eye exam as well since I was already there.
Maria mentioned that it may not be covered by insurance and took the time to call my insurance to check for me.
Maria and Dr Andrew Babayan were great!
Highly recommend!

I have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision and have never needed prescription glasses thankfully. I go here to adjust my sunglasses. A couple of which I got from here. They are expensive so I don’t want just anybody working on them. The tech is good, but sometimes disheveled and unorganized. He knows what he’s doing but it’s still weird. Never had to meet the doc.
The two stars are for the two star staff. They are lucky to have a job. If you’re working in customer service you have to be NICE TO PEOPLE. It’s the most important rule in customer service, TO BE NICE TO PEOPLE. so next time I come in please BE NICE TO ME. this means you Olga.

I happened to choose glasses a few days ago I was not happy with. Was miserable all weekend. Went back today. Lora helped me to find the right glasses for me. She was extremely patient with me, very professional and understanding. Now I’m really happy with my choice.
The doctor was nice, too. Did thorough examination.

I’ve been going to this place for a few years getting great care and service every time I visit. This year I moved to Valencia and tried to find an optometry there to fit my needs, but finally decided to give these guys a call. My main question was if they can order a certain frame for me, have my prescription lenses made for it, and ship the whole thing to my new address. That’s it. I paid over the phone with my Visa, and received my glasses in less than a week through UPS. Great job, guys! I will see you in June for my annual examination.

FOUR STAR DOCTOR, NO STAR OLGA
This experience would have been fine had it not been for the staff working the front. Upon arrival, it was clear that the staff members were tired and they couldn’t be bothered by someone patronizing their business. I started my experience by being exasperatingly asked if I could be helped — I could — and then, with more effort than I knew could go into it, I was shown my chair. They followed that clearly exhausting step by blaming me for them not having my insurance info — which is fine, my card was on me, extra ten minutes, no biggie. I was cool with letting this first lady’s attitude fly because I work in customer service and being between a patient and an insurance company is no position I envy.
Then, the exam. I have little to say about the doctor. He was a cool guy — real chill.
It was the next step that pissed me off.
I made it clear I was not there to purchase ANYthing, I just needed an exam for check-​up purposes. As soon as they knew I wouldn’t be emptying my pockets any cheery demeanor vanished — and I assure you, cheery demeanor was in short supply to begin with.
Basically, they asked me to sit and wait (post-​exam) without any explanation outside of a «check out process.» Whatever that means. I wait fifteen minutes in my chair, listening to other staff and their sales pitches, before Olga asked me if I was there to purchase contacts or lenses. I told her, as I had told the doctor, that I would not be purchasing anything, I had come for the exam. Olga was not okay with this for some reason or another, gave me an, «oh,» and sat back down behind her desk. I asked her, from my seat, what I was waiting for exactly. Olga ignored me. Nice. I walk up to the desk and ask again. Olga looks up, flabbergasted by the audacity of my question. She explains I’m waiting for an optician to explain my purchasing benefits of glasses vs contacts. AGAIN, I tell Olga I’m not buying anything, that I’d like to pay for my exam and leave because no one had explained why I was waiting before now. If I didn’t need to know the benefits of glasses I wasn’t going to buy, why wait? Well, Olga wasn’t having that. She sat me down again and made me wait for who knows why, but for some dumb reason I waited. Almost 10 minutes pass, I don’t know why, and Olga sits down. She begins to explain what my insurance will and will not cover when I’m purchasing my glasses. I’m confused. Had I not said on multiple occasions I wasn’t buying anything? Clearly my bad. I explain again, saying she can just copy the info and I’ll take it home to make a more informed decision. After all, I only came for the exam. Olga was even more displeased now and begrudgingly agreed to scan the info and ditch the pitch — THANK GOD.
Now we’re at the counter. I pay for the exam and I didn’t want to leave on bad terms, so I asked Olga, «did you get, earlier, why I asked why I was waiting? I could have paid 20 minutes ago and left.» Olga, being nothing but consistent with her snotty attitude, began to explain in incoherent ramblings why it was somehow on me for getting impatient with their nonexistent communication and pointless waiting. How could I have not known what the doctor meant by «check out process?» I told her if they don’t explain to me the purpose of my wait, it makes the waiting frustrating. I just wanted to know why. That was all. For some reason, my curiosity into why I’m spending my time the way I am offended Olga and she decided to shift from being snotty to condescending. «Where do YOU work,» she asked. I told her I worked in customer service and I work for the TWDC. She found it condescendingly «interesting.» I asked her what was «interesting» and then realized I really didn’t care.
I left. It didn’t end there.
I called when I got home so I could speak to a supervisor and I got… Olga. Damn. I asked to speak to a supervisor four times. She wouldn’t get off the phone. I had had enough of Olga so I hung up.
Over? Nope. SHE. CALLED. BACK.
I’m never going back.

I came in for an exam and was treated very well I would highly recommend coming here. From selection to customer service everything was great. Olga made it easy for me to find what I need. she was very professional and helpful, I will come back just for her because I like her attention to detail and honesty.

They are very friendly until they have your money. The glasses they sold me did not last but a few months and when I took them back they only offered to Glue them together. And they were very unfriendly when they offered that. Take your business to another optometrist who might appreciate you as a customer.

Before I moved out of state, I was going to this place for years. They took good care of me. I am so glad my mom still goes when she needs a check up. I know she is in good hands.

I have been a patient for many years. I usually go in on a Saturday because I don’t work in the area anymore and the drive is easier to make from Woodland Hills.
My last appointment was not a good experience. It was a new doctor I had never seen before, apparently I needed to remove my lenses the night before and I asked why – this is the first time I was told to do this. The receptionist was even surprised, because it has never been an issue before.
He never looked at me and as he walked away from us, told the receptionist to re-​schedule me for another day. I felt it was very rude and after some thought decided I was not coming back. What a waste of a morning.
I found an awesome optometrist who’s just 5 minutes from my home and sadly will not be returning to Optometry Eye Care Center.

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years now and the staff and senior optometrist are wonderful. This last time I entered I was immediately helped by Katya. She happily took in my glasses to be fixed after the screw

I have been going to Dr. Barry Wagner for the past 2 years as well as other family members. Dr. Barry Wagner is very thorough, friendly and patient. I love the selection of glasses they offer, they always have the latest styles and they are very patient. I have to have late appointments due to my commute from work, so when I have to decide on glasses they stay longer to make sure that i have the full experience and never feel rushed. It’s hard for me to make decisions, so they always give great opinions about the pairs and never push me to go for the expensive pair. they work with you on your budget and give great deals to make sure you are satisfied with your glasses.
I would recommend coming here.

Not pleased with my last visit. Scheduled an appt. Waited for 15 minutes to see Dr. After 20 minutes I was getting frustrated. Waited a total of 25 minues. I didn’t want to hit the 30 minute mark as it would have gotten ugly. So I left and went back to work. Wasted a total of one hour for a non-​Dr. appt. Won’t be going back — too bad because I have been a patient for years. :(
I think the place is slowly going down the drain — parking lot is not maintained. Too bad.

I’ve been going to Dr. Wagner for the past 6 or 7 years and I am a huge fan. I had been having problems wearing contacts for years — they were always slightly uncomfortable, my eyes would get dry, it was such a pain. He was so persistent in making me try multiple types of contacts and finally found a pair that worked after for 2^nd or 3^rd one! It’s literally changed my life!
Also, Raymond is the best for picking out glasses/​sunglasses that flatter your face. He’s the only opinion I really trust when it comes to picking out a new pair of frames and he always steers me in a great direction for sunglasses.
The other thing I love about this place is that they always have rebates for contacts, they take my insurance, and I can always get in pretty easily to see them.
