Macy’s

I think this Macys is the best! While they don’t carry some brands and other flagman Macys locations, they have huge and always empty parking lot, neatly organized shelves and not prerentious and helpful salepersons.

I do not recommend going to this place. That is true it is getto, doesn’t look like a Macy’s at all. It is not clean, the workers r rude, it took 5 min to realize to leave.

Macy’s is the worst store in the San Fernando Valley I will never go there again we overpaid the account & now they don’t want to pay it back to us.

The previous reviews are right: ghetto Macys! No customer service, no selection of crystal & the STORE IS NOT CLOSING FOR ANOTHER YEAR!!! No deals :(

Getto Macy’s. Compared to other Macy’s some brands are absent. The men’s department is an utter mess. No one is offering help

I had the best experience in the jewelry department, during the holidays it gets pretty busy and hectic. But Cynthia managed to assist me and even though she couldn’t find my earrings she found a pair that fit my description and listened to when i explained what I was looking. She was very nice and had so much patience with me. I appreciate the 30 minutes she spent with me searching for my earrings that I was looking for online.

Worse customer service ever… no wonder I shop at Nordstroms… ventured, tried Macy’s to get sheets and comforters, regret it… customer service severely lacking.
I went today, around 5:30−6pm (11÷29÷15), asked for help from an employee in the third floor in the bedding area, only to be greeted with the most negative attitude. Her name was difficult to pronounce and read but it starts with an «N» and has a «y» somewhere in the middle, african-​american lady.
I had a printout from macy’s in Burbank that said that this North Hollywood location had one of the sheets that I was looking for. In fact, it said that NH had 2 of them. I asked the cashier if they had Hotel collection fitted sheets, she said no, we dont have Hotel collection here. I showed her the printout; she said, ohh, umm, well we just because that paper says we have it, it doesnt mean that we have it. I was keeping very calm even though my blood was boiling at how rude and negative her tone was. I said hmm… that’s strange. She said if we do have them, they’re gonna be over at the clearance section because they might be «customer returns» since we don’t carry hotel collection. She very very reluctantly went to «check» the clearance section and very quickly gave up and said no we dont have them. At this point I was like, this lady just does not want to help me, at all… she doesn’t care.
I had another set of (Hotel Collection) sheets that I had purchased from macys in burbank the night before that I wanted to return there since i was already there. She says, ohh no i cant make that return for you, you’re gonna have to return it to the macys where u originally bought it because we don’t carry hotel collection (with an attitude)…I was thinking, hmm… really? You mean those customers that returned some of the hotel collection bedding that I saw in the clearance area were able to return their stuff, but for some reason I can’t? I’d had enough of her, I just left, but i will let corporate AND her Manager (VERONICA) know. I mean, seriously macy’s??? You have this type of person working for you? Never, again will i step into a Macy’s again… horrible customer service… will gladly give my money to nordstrom even if i have to pay more, and have hassle free transactions.

No this place is so bad!
They changed the styles to the colorful old fashioned dresses they have to ask tons if questions in order to return something and some of the cashiers are mean and they don’t have a good deals anymore!

I’ve heard that Macys employees refer to this location as the red headed step child. After going for the first time, I can see why. I typically go to the Macys at Westfield Fashion Square but I found a jacket online that was only available for pick up at this Macys. It was a great price and I needed the jacket for an upcoming trip so I purchased it.
When I went to pick up the jacket the first thing I noticed was that this Macys was dark and somewhat unwelcoming. The women’s clothing section was a bit of a mess. I was able to easily and quickly pick up my jacket so that was good. I happened to find a coat and shirt on sale so I snagged those too. I tried to use a coupon with my Macys card but the employee said I couldn’t use the coupon because my items were on sale. I explained that I used the same coupon (I had two) on the purchase of my jacket. She looked at that order and honored the coupon since it worked on my online order. Now that, I appreciated!
My two stars is for customer service of the few people I interacted with. However, this place is a bit of a mess and lacks the selection and image I expect of Macys. I probably won’t be back unless another sale item is available for pick up there.

Waited 20 min to exchange a watch. Employees didn’t even care. Told me someone else had to help me since they had to go to lunch.

I love this Macy’s a lot I moved recently and thank god it’s close by I hate going to the mall but coming here is great it’s calm and you get to shop in piece also they carry MAC makeup and they’re home décor section is always fun to visit. Not to mention they have great customer service here! Love coming here

Customer service is a joke. I placed an online order to be picked up there. I made the mistake of going to pick up my item, which I needed that day, before getting a SECOND confirmation email. My mistake, but one the manager could easily have helped to rectify. Did he? Absolutely not.
They had the item I had ordered in stock. But, they needed this second email before they could release it to me. I proposed a solution that could’ve made everyone happy with very minimal effort on their part: keep a record of the order number on a post-​it at the register, and when it’s listed as processed (within a day or so), simply mark the order as picked up. End of story.
Michael, the manager, declined to accommodate me, telling me instead to buy ANOTHER of the item, then come and return it when the first order processed. He clearly thinks my time is meaningless when the solution he proposes is for me to make another trip to his store rather than the seconds it would take for an employee to read a post-​it note.
I’m never going back and neither should you.

Horrible service… Even when the store is so empty… I don’t get it …
The store needs more life to it … So many workers what do they do all day… Omg and the jewelry selection should be thrown out …

Do not purchase a mattress at Macy’s thinking the ten-​year warranty is anything but a sales technique. We spent $ 2000 for a Simmons Beautyrest and after six months it began to sag.
They sent out their «warranty» people who said it isn’t sagging enough. They measure the
mattress without anyone on it… not while you are sleeping on it. Macy’s said «we don’t make the mattress» and I said «but you sell it». Not happy with Macy’s or Simmons! Will not purchase
anything with a «warranty» there again. They do not back them up!

Not the best Macy’s I been to… Closes are everywhere and the hangers are all over the floor.
Seems like a ghost-​town, does anyone even work here? Definitely not coming back here…

I used to love going to this Macy’s. I shop in the men’s department and I can always find the sizes I need at this particular Macy’s. However, I am now going to stay away from this store because it’s starting to feel like a Marshall’s. There are always stray clothes laying on the floor off the racks. Everything is disorganized and the staff mostly just stand around.
This past weekend I went to get a couple new shirts. Went to the counter and was helped (well, not really helped) by a girl named Maria (Russian accent?). I had a couple gift cards that I thought could possibly have balances on them so I gave them to her to run those first. The first one, she said, «Zero balance» and then she stuffed the card somewhere under the register. The second one, same thing «Zero balance» I asked if there was a way to double check because I had a receipt taped to that one that said I had like $ 19 left on it. She ran it again at another register and then just pointed at the $ 0 balance on the screen. Didn’t say anything to me. She handed the gift card back to me and told me my total again.
I paid with a credit card and started to walk out to my car. I felt that I needed to write a review of this poor customer service so I went back to get her name and to get my other gift card that she didn’t give back to me.
There was another girl standing at the register, I asked her to give me the name of the girl that helped me. She proceeded to look at some paper and tell me, «She’s not on the schedule, so I don’t know.» I started to walk towards the other side of the department and I saw the girl that helped me coming back down the other aisle. She steps up to her friend and I hear the friend tell her, «Oh that guy you helped came back and I told him I couldn’t find your name.» And they giggled. They didn’t realize I was standing right there.
I approached «Maria», which I saw on her name tag and asked for my other, and asked for my other gift card back. She pulls it out of some crevice next to the register and then proceeds to tell me that i can call customer service and they can further assist me with the cards. I told her, «This is what you should have told me the first time. I shouldn’t have to leave the store and come back for you to tell me this.» She just looked at me with that blank stare of someone who just doesn’t ‘get it’.
I left, got in my car, drove around to the other side of the store, parked, went back in and asked to speak to a Manager. I spoke to Wendy and explained the whole thing. She was very helpful. Then the workers at the fragrance counter offered me some free samples! They were super nice as well.
I enjoy this store. This is the first time I’ve had an issue and the first time I’ve seen it ramshackle. So with that, I’ll probably give them another chance. But one more bad experience and I will definitely not go back to that store.

Normally I don’t review chains, but this deserved more than a little input. We bought a mattress from Macy’s about a year and half ago and unfortunately it turned out to be defective. We ended up returning it and making the exchange for another one through this Macy’s store.
Norma, our mattress salesperson who helped us, is 100% beyond exceptional. Granted, I realize that she gets a portion of the sale, but she went above and beyond anything we expected to make sure the process was as pleasant as possible in terms of specifics of getting the new mattress, the refund, etc. She looked into and addressed issues that wouldn’t have even crossed my mind but easily could’ve become problematic. Made tons of phone calls and talked to the right people to minimize any sort of effort we had to do on our part for the return. A+++ for her service and friendliness!
Also, just as an aside, the store itself (well, at least the departments we were in — home, women’s clothing) was very well-​kept and organized.
Nice big parking lot too.

I wanted to give 1 star but since you can technically find what you want here I won’t. This review is for the fact that I got conned into getting a credit card when I specifically stated I didn’t want one. I never shop here enough to get a Macy’s card and also didn’t want it on my credit report for no reason.
Dont go to the middle aged guy in the wedding registry area as he doesn’t know anything it seems and will say what he thinks is the right answer.
If I need to buy something in a hurry I’ll probably come back… but just realize the service and staff will be hit or miss with who you get.

All of my experiences have been good ones at this Macy’s. Granted, im not a shopaholic by any stretch of the imagination. I know absolutely nothing and care not at all about labels, high fashion, makeup, jewelry, shoes, etc.
However, i have a great eye for design and like to have my home looking modern, clean and functional. I became fixated on a particular sofa in the furniture department at this store. It was rather pricey, so I would stop by regularly to stare at it and fantasize about it being in my home. I live closeby, so I would walk here with my kids, we would escape the heat and sit on «our» sofa on a daily basis.
When my in laws were in town, they took pity on us and our sad sofas and wanted to gift us a new one. We went straight away to Macy’s and ordered the sofa of my dreams. It was delivered in 3 weeks. It took a bit longer because it was out of stock and needed to be made. When it arrived, it was gorgeous, the delivery guys were careful and polite. They dropped it off and set it up for us. Easy. The warranty on it is fantastic! If it gets stained, ripped or destroyed in any way within the next seven years, Macy’s will come out and repair or replace it for free.
Interesting tidbit about the warranty though: if you try to clean any stain yourself, the warranty is automatically voided. Yet, they provide a cleaning kit with the purchase. Hmmmmm.
As far as the rest of the store is concerned, it is pretty uninhabited. There are so few people who shop here, I have often wondered how they stay in business. It makes for easy breezy parking though. It’s also a great place to come for holiday shopping for this reason. Avoid the frenzy of that time of year and buy those gifts here!

This macys is terrible. I don’t know what it is but they carry cheaper brands. Lots of polyester at this location. Not up to par with the other macys locations. It felt like a sears not a macys. Parking here was good because the store was empty.
