been shopping at kmart north hollywood for over 40 years. everyone in customer service and the department heads are always so nice and helpful. being a senior citizen now, they help me even more. always a pleasure to shop there.

As most people who read the news know, Kmart is going down. They are closing hundreds of stores each year, selling off their intellectual property, and not investing in the remaining locations. It’s fairly obvious that the owners are just squeezing out as much as possible before liquidating.
With that said, there are some good deals to be had. Certain products (not food, but things like clothes and housewares) are cheaper than Walmart or Target. I had a good experience here last week. The service wasn’t like Nordstrom, but I can’t really complain.

This place is very close to me but I hesitate to come here because they’re so slow. They don’t have enough cashiers, you’re in line for 10 – 15 minutes or more to pay. It’s kind of ridiculous.

Altho alot of other places to go but been going here since the early 90’s and everyone loves Kmart despite negative reviews you still come back to Kmart hehehehe

Bad experience shopping, price scanners doesn’t work, too rude personal, open stufs selling, a lot of time to pay, no parking, different prices in ads to register. My experience shopping i will not recomend this place. It must retraining the customer service personal because they’re so rude with customers.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars worse place I’ve ever been too! so me and my sister were looking for a toy for my niece for Christmas and we called about 15 different stores to see if they had it in stick there and we called this Kmart and they hung up twice and I was on the phone with them for exactly 55minutes and 18 seconds and they said they would check and never got back to us so we decided to go for ourselves but before we managed to go to a car shop get gas and stop home and then go to Kmart all while we were on hold we were still on hold and we found the toy for ourselves in the store and we ended up hanging up in the line of Kmart while they still kept us on hold and never answered so while we were paying we asked for the manager and she said oh they are suppose to be helping in the fitting room sorry like that the heck!!! so they can’t handle phones because they are handling the fitting room ! how many people does it take this is so stupid ! the stupid manager (with bangs) and stupid Kevin !! Horrible store and they know there bad because at the line when we asked who was handling the toy department she said why did they give you trouble? and it’s like why would she assume that maybe we wanted to compliment them but we didn’t and I recommend you go to any other store because this one sucks ! NEVER COMING BACK HERE EVER. you can go do errands and go to the store and find the toy your looking for faster then the people in the store can find a toy ! STUPID DUMB ANNOYING STAFF ! DONT COME HERE!

I just want to know if they still sell pizza and stuff lol i haven’t been to kmart in a long time and i could go for a slice of pizza lmao

This place sucks as far as merchandise pickup is concerned. I ordered online and came to pickup just ONE item and I have to wait an hour to get it! There’s no system in place, no signage, staff tell you conflicting instructions, etc. It’s insane! Kmart, check how your sister Sears do it!

If I could give this place a no star then I would ! Waited in line for 2 hours. Cashiers name is Heather she is extremely extremely rude I work at a grocery store I would get fired if I ever talked to customers the way she does. With her attitude and no people skills she should not be working at Kmart. We told her the socks were 25% off and she said she did it but when we looked at our receipe she never did it there was no reason for her to lie she honestly should be fired !

Poor customer service
I’m going there often since this place is close to me, but every time I’m disappointed with the service they provide.
when you get to the register usually it takes 15 minutes to get out and not just because the line is long, it’s because merchandise mark for certain price and when you get to the register is different price so everybody has to wait till someone to come and check the correct price
I promise to my self no more :(

The more I shop at this Kmart the more I’m convinced this is just a bad decision
Non existent customer service. Cart littered parking lot and employees/​management refusal to remove hundreds of carts… Narrow isles especially if you’re handicapped

This has to be the worst store in the entire San Fernando Valley. Out of a possible 13 check out foods they have three open. With lines lined up like you wouldn’t believe. All I can say is find another store to shop at this one isn’t worth it.

This Kmart is def not for me… It’s disorganized and dirty, fitting rooms are cluttered and usually without an attendant to help. This is the second time I’m here and unless I need something specific from here, I don’t see myself coming back.

Customer service here is horrible. One person tells me one thing and then someone else something else. I ordered chairs from the online store pick up. Items weren’t ready even though I received email that they were. Never coming here again. I will pay for shipping

This place has the slowest checkout imaginable. The lines here move like glaciers. By the time you pay for something your kids will have passed puberty. Time to go to Amazon people.

Okay, let’s go with this.
First of all, I was a K-​Mart kid. My mom used to joke by saying that my first word as a baby was «K-​Mart». Honestly, they were ahead of their time. At some point Target came in and did the exact same thing, thus being very successful and a favorite stop for me, my family, and my friends. Think about it… Target is mostly private label things. Any brand names there are unique to target (ie: Converse «One Star», Levi’s Denizen, etc). So where did this wondrous store go wrong?
I still love K-​Mart and my heart breaks every time I visit. Their employees don’t look happy and that may not be their fault entirely.
When I arrived to this location today, shopping carts were everywhere in the parking lot. Now I’m action oriented so I spent time in the parking lot wrangling up the carts for them and putting them in the cart return areas. Yes K-​Mart management — one of your customers did your work for you. There was even a shopping cart sitting right smack dab in the middle of the entry lane of the parking lot that I almost ran over. What’s worse is during the 15 minutes I spent wrangling up the carts, not one employee came out.
Now that also states that K-​Mart attracts customers who are lazy assholes who value very little. Are they lazy assholes by default, or assholes because K-​Mart employees aren’t happy, thus making disgruntled customers? And if K-​Mart employees aren’t happy, who or what causes that? …Management, I’m looking at you for the answer to that question.
The prices are really good here and I love buying my summer cargo shorts here. They are still cheaper than Target. I value K-​Mart mostly due to nostalgia. But this location is poorly run. And again this can be seen with the quality of merchandizing as well, and how many cashiers they staff at any giving moment (I’ve always noticed 2 active cashiers on each visit). So I’ll return. But I really hope that K-​Mart hasn’t given up like it appears they have at this location. If K-​Mart district management is reading this, it’s time for some last chance ultimatums, retraining, or a good ol’ fashioned clean-​house to bring in employees who want to do great work. Lastly, give your part timers some hours to make them happier. Higher morale equals higher productivity and happier customers.

Driving by and saw Kmart, there are very few around so I decided to stop in. Ehhh, nothing spectac. Target and Walmart carry similar stuff. This store seemed to have way less merchandise than the Kmarts of yesteryear. I purchased some work out gear. Along with my receipt were a couple coupons for $ 4.00 off $ 25.00 and $ 5.00 off of $ 50.00. After getting home, I discovered that I needed to exchange one item. I was also in search of a T.V. tray so I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone. I was so excited to use my coupon too! Go to customer service and do my exchange. Now for the purchase, when I hand the not so friendly clerk my coupon, she asks if I am a «member”(with an attitude). Apparently, you can’t use their coupons UNLESS you’ve signed up to be an ELITE KMART rewards member, LOL. Well, needless to say, that was a two day experience for me but I def won’t make a special trip back there. The area and the parking lot are gross and sketchy too.

Waited in line for over 40 min because there were only two registers open!!! That is ridiculous, where is the person in charge? If you see alot of customers waiting, open a register to move things along! I’ve been coming to this Kmart for years now since I grew up right down the street. The customer service at this store has been declining significantly over the years. Employees don’t provide good customer service. I never bothered to take the time to review this place but I felt disrespected tonight when I went in to buy dog food and a bottle of soda. The lady in front of me was making 40 separate transactions and the cashier doesn’t bother to call for another cashier.

So disappoint on the customer service at this Kmart. Very rude and disrespectful!!! The Supervisor name Janice does not led by example. Stay away!!!

If there were a way to give negative stars I’d give this place –50 stars. Worst fucking store E-​V-​E-​R.
All I needed was ass wash and toothpaste, was in the area so I figured I’d stop in. Prior to walking in some dude in a big ass oversized white suit like the dude from Talking Heads and some sort of religious patch on the sleeves says:

Grab my shit and stand in a long ass line. The cashier was slower than a turtle on heroin. Went to another cashier and she was slow as fuck too, but I opted to wait because in front of me was a hot chick with long black hair wearing UGG boots. Same wait, better view. (Girl if you’re reading this you’re as fine as wine) Anywhoooo… finally it’s my turn and some old ass man cuts in front of me for a price check, what the fuck?! The cashier says something in Armenian and a big laugh is had by them while she proceeds to scan his item, then proceeds to have a conversation with him. Double what the fuck?! I patiently wait and a few minutes later she scans my shit and asks me
