I can’t recommend Dave highly enough. He’s done two jobs for me at my house and the workmanship, which has been top notch, isn’t even the highlight of this review. The truly special part of his work is his willingness to go the extra mile. First off, he shows up when he says he will and gets right to work. He and his assistant Luke repaired/replaced a large section of the fence surrounding my property. They took great care around the plants and grass as to not damage them. In addition, they matched the existing fence and paint perfectly, so much so that I can’t even tell where the old fence stops and the new fence begins. In finishing this job, Dave was able to save a little money on the paint, and rather than just stick to the(higher) initial quote, he charged me less for the whole job. Secondly, he prioritizes getting the job done right over speed or money. The second job I had him do was much more labor intensive. He removed a monster old hot tub, gazebo and deck, then removed the giant concrete patio beneath. Well, the hot tub was much harder to remove than anticipated, and the concrete slab was much thicker than it looked. Consequently, two things happened: 1) the job took much longer than anticipated, but Dave and Luke stayed over an hour later to finish the job. And 2) because there was so much more concrete than anticipated, disposal was going to take an entire second day and cost me almost double the original quote. So what did Dave do? He came back on his day off, rolled up his sleeves and loaded concrete chunks into HISOWN pickup truck with me all day. It took 4 trips to the dump and almost 8 more hours to finish the job, but he didn’t charge me for the extra labor. I don’t know if you’ve ever looked into disposing concrete, but Dave’s willingness to get the job done right saved me literally hundreds of dollars. You can tell he takes pride in doing the job right, and the priority is making sure the customer is happy.(This is not to say he makes a habit of doing free work or giving back money, so don’t hold me to that, but the fact that he prioritized getting the job done over making a few more bucks earned him my business over and over again.) You can be sure I will use him again at the first opportunity. P. S. He is also not afraid of rats living inside hot tub insulation, so that’s another plus.
