About 3 years ago I started to have a dull pain that was just nagging me and wouldn’t go away. Felt like my upper back on the left side needed to be cracked. No matter what I did I could not get it to crack. Had friends try, used foam rollers, massage, heat, cold, stretching, strength training, exercise balls, electric muscle stimulation machines. nothing worked! I even went to three different Chiropractors in the Valley. They could crack me but couldn’t get the spot that was the issue. So eventually I went to a general practice Doctor who X-​Rayed me and just told me «nothing is wrong, just wait and it will go away». Well it didn’t go away and I’m still in major discomfort. So basically I just lived with the pain and went on with life.
After about a year I thought I would give a Chiropractor another shot. I hear some are great and some suck. I’ve already tried three and two of those three were a complete waste of money. The third was ok, but couldn’t fix my problem area.
I found Doctor Dean and decided to give him a shot. From the moment I called it was a different experience. First of all, he picked up the phone. Not an assistant, the actual guy. I expressed what I have been experiencing and he was taking words out of my mouth as I explained it. I told him my upper left side hurt. He asked some questions then said, does your right shoulder sit a little lower than the left? Which it does! This gave me a great amount of confidence this guy might actually know what my issue was and be able to fix it. Once I was in the office he said something funny but powerful. He said, «I know the other Doctors couldn’t get it, but I will get it even if it takes all night and I have to put you on the floor!» Haha. He did end up getting it, it did take a little extra time and he did put me on the floor as promised. I’m writing this review the next morning and I looked in the mirror. My shoulders are even this morning and I finally feel for the first time I made some progress on this terrible issue I’ve been having.
All in all. go see this guy. He is real with you, won’t BS you and will take his time. Many other Chiropractor offices are just trying to push patients through to collect the fees. Doctor Dean wants to help people and will take the time to do so. After our session while talking I mentioned that my elbow sometimes feels numb in relation to my back issue. He said, «You didn’t tell me that! Lay back down.» Yes, we were done but because he cares he stopped me and did an additional move to assist me. I was his last patient of the day and easily could have done nothing but he took the time to put me back down to ensure he had done everything he could to help. Finally, doesn’t hurt that he shares a space with a great Yoga Studio filled with cute girls! Bonus! Haha.

I’ve had an aversion to chiropractors since a friend in the mid80s was injured. Dr Dean helped a friend with the same issue I’ve been dealing with for 5 years so I decided to make an appointment. Have to say, I’m really extremely pleased with the results after 1 adjustment session. Dr Dean talked me through everything he was doing, explaining it well. I highly recommend seeing Dr Dean.

A few days earlier, I got up from my chair & for some reason felt excruciating pain in my lower back. I decided to go on Unilocal late in the evening & looked on there for a good Chiropractor or Medical/​sports masseus, preferably a licensed DC that could see me, diagnose the problem & do something or tell me what to do to make my lower back pain stop & that I wouldn’t just be wasting my money on. I had held off, but realized that I needed to see someone soon because my pain was not going away no matter what I tried to do on my own. I found Dr. Dean on the list of my Unilocal search based on people’s previous great reviews, his hours being listed as late, & the fact that I thought that there was a Tues. & Thurs. Unilocal deal for $ 60 an appointment (he explained to me that I & other people misread it, as it says on his listed website that that price is a special for follow-​up appointments only on those days of the week). I dialed his office number up not sure if I was going to reach anyone ( Unilocal showed that he had late hours). He picked up the phone & shot off a joke (he is also a comedian & actor). His office wasn’t very far away from where I lived & I was really appreciative that he was willing to see me. From the phone & in person conversation, it seemed to me that Dr. Dean cares about making people feel better, lead a healthy life, be pain free, & to feel good every-​day. I can tell you that when I spoke to him & I came in, I could tell that Dr. Dean knew his stuff. He has chiropractic education, additional education & hands on experience in diagnosing & treating people’s pain. When you first come in & he decides that it might help based on you filling out a new patient questionnaire & looking at you — he has an interesting massage table that he puts a natural heated moist cloth pad onto that gives a person a sort of electric heated «sports massage» first to loosen the muscles before he will do the chiropractic moves, if necessary. With his education & experience, he uses his hands to feel & diagnose for any bone misalignments in the spine & a person’s skeleton & then he does the chiropractic adjustments & moves that will help a person feel better. In short, he definitely knew what he was doing & my lower back pain got better. He also adjusts other parts of the body that you want him to, if they feel stiff. He showed me a follow-​up exercise to do & he mentioned couple of wholesome diet tips to try to prevent different ailments. I didn’t catch them exactly. Did I mention that he himself is in unbelievable shape, because he practices what he preaches on nutrition, exercise, & constantly keeping his own musculoskeletal system aligned by getting massages & adjustments. Being a trained comedian & actor, he makes jokes & has a good bedside manner to try to make a patient relax.

Have a bulging/​herniated disc in my neck. Dean was able to see me on very short notice. In addition to that he was able to help me understand the injury and pain that I was experiencing.
After the adjustments I noticed an absolute difference in the pain that I was experiencing. Reccomend to anyone especially anyone unable to find relief with physical therapy or dangerous narcotics.

Dr. Larit was great! I work all day at a computer and my shoulder was very tense and aching. This was my first chiropractic visit and I feel so much better. I can even breathe more deeply after the procedure. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Larit really helped me out. I injured my neck and knew when it wasn’t improving 4 days later that I needed to seek out treatment. Insurance wouldn’t cover a chiropractor but Dr. Larit’s price was affordable and he was luckily available to see me same day. He was friendly and the appointment was quick and easy. It took 24 hours for the inflammation-​based pain to ease but 48 hours later my neck pain has gone from a 7 to a 2. I am one satisfied customer!

Dr Dean is amazing. He’s a no bs chiropractor. My lower back had been bothering me for months, I went in and on the first visit he fixed me up right. The best part was when I asked «when should I see you next?», instead of making twelve more appointments for me like most chiropractors do, he told me «when YOU feel like you need to come in again, you let me know and I’ll get you fixed right back up.» That’s a good man right there. Thanks Dr. Dean.

Went it today with a disc problem not being able to stand up right and sharp pain. Came out a new person. Was able to stand straight. No pain whatsoever. Doc was very professional and kind. Sat down and explained my symptoms and walked me thru the process. Def recommending this place to all my friends. Amazing 5 stars. Thank you so much for fixxing my body.

Super great experience. Not only has my pain gone away but I feel so much better. After working a 13 hr shift with 36 surgeries, I couldn’t take the pain anymore. I called and immediately my phone call was returned and I was also seen within the next hour. I have never had this kind of treatment ever in the medical field. He worked me in and saw me right away, instead of me waiting until Monday during normal day time hours at any other office. I’m so greatful to have met him. He is also a comedian so you feel at ease and not uptight. Beautiful office and smelled wonderful! I hope I don’t have to go back but if I do, I will be there in a heartbeat.

Dr Dean is great! He helped me with my lower back pain and helped my Mom with her frozen shoulder. I’m really happy to have found him and he’s so close to home! He is always positive and he’s very knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend him more!

Dr Dean is the best in his field.
I had lower back pain for last couple of days, first went to massage therapist and it helps with some pain after massage, but next day pain was slightly back, so decided to see chiropractor and found Dr Dean on Unilocal.
After reading his amazing reviews I knew his the right Dr for me.
Called and spoke with Dr and he gave me same day appointment.
Right after I got out from his office I was able to walk normal with no pain.

Amazing experience.
I had been in a bad mood for three days. My lower back was in pain from using bad form at the gym. I came in to see the Doc and he immediately started breaking down what I was feeling. Definitely years of experience. He knew exactly what to do and he made me feel comfortable through the whole process. This visit was long overdue. I feel ten times better than when I went in I was even laughing on the way out. I recommend Dr. Dean to anyone in need of a chiropractor and I’ll definitely go back in for a bit of realignment in a couple of months. If you ache «this is the Guy»!

Doc Dean is the best. Great attitude, fun to talk to, and he’s an incredibly skilled chiropractor. I came to him with a serious elbow injury, I could not straighten my arm at all. After ONE SESSION, I regained %50 movement back. After three sessions, I was all but healed.
Quick, simple, and effective; that’s Doc Dean’s way. :)

First time ever at a chiropractor. Researched and knew there was no chance of being permanently damaged, but was very afraid of the pain involved with chiropractic adjustments.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Dean yesterday. I have been experiencing pain in my lower back and all the way down to my left knee and I am also 32 weeks pregnant too.
First of all I want to say that I have a toddler who like to explore and Dr. Dean was fine with my son running around his office which put me at ease. He also allowed my son to he apart of session. It’s nice to know that I can bring my toddler into a nice calm and welcoming environment and he can be his self.
Dr. Dean did wonders on my back. I felt so much better not just physically but emotionally as well. With every position he explained what he was doing which made me feel comfortable because it was my first visit to a chiropractor. I am excited to continue my sessions with Dr. Dean. Yes, Yes, Yes! Just got done with my first session and I feel totally revived. He adjusted me and walked me through what was out of whack and the effects it had on my body.
I have been coming to Yoga NoHo for almost a year now solely taking Averill’s Power Cardio Yoga class (aka DDP Yoga). I mentioned to him some issues I had and he suggested I see Dr Dean, who has an office at the studio. So I will for sure be coming back for routine maintenance.
