Rev Mark was amazing. Service was great it was about perception. Was reminded to meditate and it was exactly what I needed to hear. Music was awesome. People were friendly and cool. I am still very new to NHCRS, but when I saw they only had a few reviews I felt like I had to say something…
I discovered NHCRS a couple of months ago, and from the beginning it has felt like a hug from an old-​friend. I always look forward to going, and come away from each service or class feeling expanded. If you are someone who believes that there is more to this life than just life, but you want a practical spiritual practice to help you in THIS life and beyond, then NHCRS may just be the place for you. The atmosphere is very casual and welcoming, and as the parent of an active 4−½YO I appreciate that my child can also take part in the service and hear the sermons from the comfort of the «mommy and me room.»
The services are also a perfect amount of time (an hour or less) with an equal amount of time for socializing afterwards which feels like genuine community-​building!

Ditto on what the others said. This is a very special, loving, heart-​opening experience on Sundays and Wednesdays. Wonderful messages from Dr. Mark and Rev. Mark and beautiful, uplifting music with a bit of rock n roll. This is a very healing place. Sometimes my heart opens so wide during a service tears stream down my face from joy.

We started going here in January of 2007, after doing a systematic search of all places of worship within a 10 mile radius of our home. Yes, I believe in energy and the universe and all that other airy-​fairy California stuff but really, when it comes right down to it, like writing, a solid spiritual practice requires you to show up on a regular basis.
After visiting several churches nearby, my search ended here. My partner liked it because it was the only one that didn’t ask the new people to stand up and be acknowledged. I liked it because Dr. Mark Vierra has the timing of a stand-​up comic. He delivers a timely and useful message in a funny way.
This is a Science of Mind church (not related to Scientology). Its teachings are metaphysical. The core of the belief is that God is everywhere in all things and people, there are many paths to God, and love is a better way to be. Hindus, Jews, Muslims, all are welcome.
I have taken lots of friends here and most of them have loved it. The service is about an hour, so by the time you’re done, you still have a good part of Sunday morning and all of Sunday afternoon left, unlike Agape, which, after navigating the freeway, parking, the queue to get in, the festival-​like booths outside the church and the long service (with albeit amazing music), requires a long nap, making it early evening by the time you’re ready to tackle the rest of the day.
The NoHo church is very low-​key (with ample parking!) but delivers a powerful message. They offer classes to help you connect with your practice in a deeper way and yet there’s no pressure to join up or do anything you don’t want to do.
There’s a junior church where you can park your kids while you’re in the main service and there’s a big contingent of industry folk who go here too, so networking is a fringe benefit.
The core of the practice is meditation, affirmation and something called treatment which is basically praying as if your prayers have already been answered. Even if I don’t do these things on a regular basis, I love having a place to go weekly that recharges me. When I am out of town, church is one of the things I miss most.
If you’re looking for a spiritual practice to help ground you and give you a solid foundation from which to grow (rather than just the vague general notion that «everything happens for a reason» and «the Universe will provide» or worse, The Secret aka the Prosperity Gospel without any growth in consciousness), give it a try. The worse that can happen is that you won’t like it and you’ll only have lost an hour plus the drive time.
