I had to Move from Beverly Hills to Sherman Oaks. These guys are the best! They were prompt. They were fast, but they also did a stellar job at protecting my furniture and asking a lot of questions. They were all three kind and considerate. They are very good with communication in setting up the move and making sure you get what you need. I hope I don’t have to move again. But if I do, I am going to call on them again. Superior job and superior company.

They were 10 minutes early!!! How amazing movers in my experience are never early and they were ready to WORK. The movers momentum stayed the same with one goal lets get me moved! They loaded 2 full trucks. I recommend Ant Moving. Thank you guys for a job well done.

Tokas and his crew showed up on time and got right to work. I was moving out of a two bedroom townhouse and had lots of furniture and boxes to move. Tokas was a very professional and hard working foreman. His team knocked out the huge move in less time than I thought it would take. I definitely recommend Ant Moving! A+

If I could give no stars I absolutely would. Now that we have an inventory of everything that is broken I feel I should warn anyone who wants to use this service. All our dishes minus one plate arrived broken (I am sure more of them would have survived the move had they been padded or at least wrapped in paper, but no, our glassware ware was used to pad our dishes), all of our baking dishes arrived broken, all of our glassware and stemware arrived broken minus one set of poolside plastic wine glasses. The handles were broken off two of our pans because they were shoved awkwardly into boxes they didn’t really fit in, our spice rack arrived snapped in two because it was also shoved in a box it didn’t really fit correctly in. Metal bakeware arrived dented or bent to fit the box, nothing was organized as instead of packing one cabinet at a time they took a piece or two from each cabinet and shoved them into boxes. It’s not all bad though. I do have to commend them for so carefully wrapping our garbage bags and ziplock bags, making sure they were well padded and cushioned for the move. They also took the time to carefully wrap our recipe box and non breakable travel mugs in the dish packs we purchased for them to use on our dishes, I only wish they would have used the same care on our breakable items. And no, my eye glasses never showed up
After we unpacked, thanks for that. If you’re moving call someone else to help you. I wish I would have never used them for our move. They cost us way more money than they were worth.

My friend who originally recommended Ant moved with them AGAIN (her 4^th time I think?) last weekend. And I was reminded that I haven’t updated my review of this terrific company. So let’s do it!
I have moved with Ant THREE more times since my first review (I know, I know, I said I hoped I wouldn’t have to use them again anytime soon, but better places kept coming up and Ant makes moving so eeeeeasy!). I’ve also recommended them to three other friends who had great experiences. I would never allow anyone to pack my things because I am an organized, private, not-​lazy person (also, you know, cheap), so I can only vouch for their moving services.
Each time they are consistently professional and really do take all the stress out of moving. They are extremely careful with everything, from wrapping the furniture to loading the truck. They’re very good about putting things in the appropriate room at my destination and helping to assemble furniture. They are so efficient and unstoppable, I always think I’m going to need them for much longer than I actually do. And still the best prices around. George is good about discounts for repeat customers, but even my first-​timer friends got great rates.
Also — the movers are still the nicest guys around aaaand the cutest! My friends actually ask if they can come over and watch the «hot Russians» move my things. To which I say, «No! That’s exploitive! These are just hard-​working guys trying to do a job.» Just kidding! Who doesn’t need a few friends around on moving day? I tell them to come for the show, stay for the cleaning! Whatever results in free labor is ok in my book.
I can’t recommend Ant enough and they are my first and only call when moving time comes again. It sounds like they’ve gotten busier — rightfully so — so now I try to book a little earlier and confirm my appointment closer to the move. They haven’t let me down, and it really is such a relief to be in good hands during an otherwise stressful time. Hooray for Ant!

We used Ant Movers again since our good experience last time and we weren’t disappointed. This time they moved us from the West Side up to Ventura County. They sent another two-​man crew and were very efficient, did a good job protecting all of our furniture and handled our boxes carefully.
George came a week in advance to make sure he sized the truck right and he got it perfect, when they closed the back gate there was only about 6″ (in a 24′ truck) free behind our last piece of furniture.
They also did a good job with the inside of the truck stacking the boxes so that nothing got crushed and putting a restraining strap every couple of rows of boxes back so that the load wouldn’t shift on all of the hills on 101. Even our same old crummy fiberboard furniture pieces survived another move thanks to them!

I hired Ant Moving to unload a 16 ft moving truck. The price was approx $ 75/​hour for two movers who brought their own equipment. The movers were on time, friendly, professional, and quick. Not only was the price lower than the average quotes I got, but the experience was stellar. I highly recommend them!

Oh gosh, I hate to leave a not so pleasant review. But here goes.
This is my second time using Ant Moving. Both times, the movers were very fast! They got the job done quickly with no extra hidden fees.
However, this last time — they completely had no record of my move. I expected them at 8am and they weren’t able to find my appointment. They did end up coming the same day, around 2pm. And they gave me a 15% discount.
I will recommend them but just make sure that you confirm your appointment ahead of time!

Moved my 2 bedroom apartment in about 3 ½ hours. No damage. Put my bed together. They were super quick. Super easy to work with. I think I paid like $ 360? I recommend them to everyone.

Didn’t follow directions, didn’t follow through on our agreement, caused a lot of problems for me.
Hired them to pack and move ³⁄₂₀₁₄. When they arrived they didn’t have boxes and weren’t prepared to pack; the guy was giving me attitude. I suggested a few options and was flexible and he still had an attitude like this was my fault. I arranged with their supervisor to re-​schedule for another day with a different crew since this one made a bad impression on me.
On the re-​scheduled day the same crew arrived, that was not the agreement. I chose to go through with it anyway. It took them over 5 hours. They charged for boxes which was not my understanding.
It was $ 430 to move a tiny 1 bedroom apartment 10 minutes away.
So far (I haven’t finished unpacking) I’ve found bleach in a box with open cleanser which got on velvet journals; cleaning supplies taken out of their packaging in one box and the empty containers they were taken out of in another box.
I used them before in 2011. They were fantastic, friendly and efficient. It took them 3 hours and cost about $ 240 to move a lot more stuff. I recommended them to a lot of people & looked forward to using their services again. That’s why this recent experience was so horrible.

I’ve used them twice. The first time was seamless. They were on time, friendly and easy to work with. My things were moved without being broken and a lot of care was taken to ensure a smooth transition to my new home.
The next move was not as great. They were late, they put a dent in my washer and they came with too little packing material and we had to wait around for 45 min. for someone to bring them more material. The guys were slow (they work on an hourly rate) and it just wasn’t as great. Overall, I have no major issues but I will use a different company next time.

After calling over 7 top-​rated moving companies in Los Angeles, I decided Ant Moving was high quality at a much more affordable rate. I definitely made the right decision.
A HUGE difference was that Ant Moving does NOT charge «double drive time» like every single other company I called. ex. I had 2 stops before arriving at my new home. The first stop was 20 miles from my second location. It took about 45 minutes. Most companies would charge me 90 minutes (double drive time), but Ant Moving did not.
Also, my two movers, Paul & Sam, were EXTREMELY hard working. They were reluctant to even take a water break.
The owner, George, was so communicative and accommodating. I’ve heard of horror stories of movers not showing up and the customer not being able to get a hold of ANYONE. That was certainly not the case with Ant Moving. I got updates as to when exactly the movers would be coming (they give a window initially).
For the entire move — moving furniture and 30+ boxes from 2 locations and unloading into my new place, INCLUDING drive time, was only 5 hours. I thought this would be a 7 – 8 hour job.
If you want an additional 10% discount off their already affordable prices, you can pay in cash.
For my next move (hopefully it won’t be for a long time haha), I would definitely choose Ant Moving again.

Worked closely with Michael in the office to coordinate move, he was very pleasant and helpful.
Hired three movers, they arrived 30 min early on moving day (which is a huge plus when you want to get through the big day)!
Very efficient, friendly and took extremely good care of all of our stuff. Everything made it to our new home in the same condition it left our old place.
Would definitely recommend Ant moving and will use them again on our next move!
Also, we shopped around to get different quotes before moving and Ant by far had best prices.

What’s the one thing that can make or break a business? Customer Service. How did Ant Moving completely jack us? Shotty customer service by not showing up.
How did they make amends and make things right? Non-​Customer service. This included a written and verbal apology as well as offering to pay for the whole move that we had to undergo from ANOTHER mover.
After the review was posted the owner contacted my sister; who coordinated the whole move and the owner offered to pay for the whole cost of the other move. This was not only unexpected but also a very generous move to make things right.
Honestly, this place deserved the 1 star review after the first experience but making things right by paying for the whole move says a LOT about the integrity and concern that the owner George has. I can’t by any means give them a 5 star review. I mean, we wanted a service from them and they didn’t show up. They also didn’t move us which doesn’t warrant a 4 star review. However after the post-​review interaction, they definitely are better than a 1 or 2. So what then? A 2.
Ant Moving I raise my Unilocal shotglass to you and say cheers for being a stand up business that does make an effort to make things right. Especially since we didn’t even use you. Would I use you guys in the future? Yes. Especially now that we know you more than just being a company. Cheers and See you next time.
TL:DR — Bad became good. Paid for the move.

Moving is super crappy.
At least, the way I used to move was super crappy…
what I used to do was pack up everything I owned as carefully as possible, then beg everyone I knew to show up at my house as early as possible on the day of the move. Then I’d pay a low starting price of $ 19.99 for a U-​haul, knowing that before the day was through, I’d spend at least $ 140 in gas, mileage, insurance and what-​have-​you. I’d hold my breath as I watched one of the friends I’d conned into helping me schlep all my stuff attempt to pull said U-​haul truck through an impossibly tiny space (because there’s always an impossibly tiny space or angle, if there’s a U-​haul involved). Finally, I’d hold back my annoyance when, invariably, something I spent too much money on got damaged in the process.
Now what I do is I go on
and I research movers.
Move before last, I used Jim’s Movers, and they were great. This time around, they were booked so I decided to give Ant a try.
The rate sounded super reasonable, and they weren’t charging double-​drive time, as so many movers do. Even though I was gambling on a new set of movers, I figured it couldn’t possibly be worse than the scenario outlined about.
Sure enough, the guys from Ant arrived on time and ready to work. Two of them got the job done in two and a half hours, and this was moving two people out of two one bedrooms and into one three bedroom house, all on the first floor, mind you, with about thirty minutes on the road!
Moral of the story: moving doesn’t have to be super expensive OR super crappy! Just suck it up and hire someone your fellow Unilocalers can vouch for.
