Exactly what you’d expect: drive-​up smog check station, located on the other side of Madison Ave & open on weekends… Was able to drive up and get my car checked out with not even a 10 minute wait. Friendly guy doing the check, painless process, and thankfully my car passed (yay!!)
My only gripe is the bombed-​out parking lot that you have to drive through to get to this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spot. Pretty sure my low-​profile tires didn’t like driving over busted concrete and pavement, but they seemed to survive. :)

This place is good for most Sundays which is a rarity. To my knowledge, only this place opens on Sundays. Last week, May 22, I got super lucky… I had no wait and was done in 20 mins. Tom is usually the guy on Sundays. Very nice and upfront about the price and service. So if you need a smog check on a Sunday, call in advance to see if there is a wait and get there definitely before 3pm. I highly recommend this place for your biennial smog check.

Tom explained the process and told me that if I use the coupon, there is no free retest. I understood. Vehicle passed the test, and Tom advised that there was an oil leak somewhere and made some suggestions on where to begin and that was appreciated. $ 35 and smog completed! Took less than 20 minutes. I recommend this place!

Went there this last Saturday to get my 09 Tacoma smogged. The kind man named Tom very nice guy, treats you with a great greeting as soon as you walk through the door .
I was in and out. I will be going back !! and I will be telling all my friends as well .

Cheapest around by far with a coupon! Generally pay $ 38 out the door with the certificate! Don’t forget your coupon though! This is the cheapest place I have found in Sacramento and have been coming here for about 8 years. Service is good.

Extremely fast service and Tom was extremely generous and helpful. The place is next to a tire yard and a muffler shop. The parking lot is spacious but a little rough. The inside office is pleasant and clean. One attendant/​tech, personal kind of shop. It feels honest and lacks the fake, pushy professionalism of some of the chain joints. No one likes having to smog their car, but since you have to take it somewhere, take it here.

Easy, professional, simple, open Sundays, and very thorough. While I was waiting, Tom was very helpful in answering questions about the smog check process, and even gave some good advice about how best to sell my car. I’ll be returning every 2 years.

I read the other reviews and the location was convenient so I printed the coupon and headed down to get my very first smog check for my 10-​year old hybrid car. I arrived just after the place opened. I told Tom I found them on Unilocal and they have good reviews, he told me he’d do his best to live up to their reputation. Tom was thorough, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He told me ahead of time that with the discount coupon, I wouldn’t get a free re-​test if I failed. A very prominent sign on the wall notified me that once the smog check was started, if the test was aborted for any reason, the customer is still liable for the cost. Therefore the person who gave the bad review perhaps is unfamiliar with the procedures.
The test was thorough, efficient, timely and accurate. No hidden costs or fees. For $ 35 I got the test and the certificate when the car passed.
I’ll return in two years for the next smog check.

Getting the car smogged is one of those things I dread doing. For one, it’s gotten to be so expensive. I thought I was going to end up paying close to $ 50, as usual. Luckily, I found this place on Unilocal and found their coupon on their website. Total came to $ 35, including the cert. Normally it takes, 20 minutes or more. But, after only 10 minutes or less, it was done and I wag on my way. Passing with flying colors. I would recommend this place to anyone for smog check. I may even go here for other services too.

Although the location is odd and it doesn’t look visually appealing, their service was on-​point. Tom was informative as it was our first time at this location and answered any questions/​concerns we had. I definitely recommend going here for a smog test. The test itself cost $ 50 and the certificate $ 8 — will post photo with other services and its price.

If you pop the hood and see an automatic fail, you would think someone would have the decency of letting you know before you throw your money out the window… I have been to several smog places and none of them would screw you over like that, especially after being a returning customer. I do not recommend coming here. There are so many other places cheaper with way better morals. Here is your warning! I will not be returning nor will any of my friend and family.

This place was a great Unilocal find. Close to where I was and the nice man behind the counter got me in and out in less than 20 minutes. $ 49 for a smog check and friendly service. Like everyone says, it is a little confusing trying to locate the place just because they dont have a huge sign for an entrance. They are located right before the split from Madison and Roseville Road.

This place is definitely worth the hunt. I missed the turn in even after reading all the reviews! However, once I found it, the owner got me right in & was pretty quick with the smog. The discount price is extremely affordable. This place was the only smog center offering a discount on Unilocal when I went. Would definitely go back!
