Our optometry practice has been providing comprehensive eye care services for adults and children in the Greater New Haven community for more than 25 years. Dr. Lefland prides himself on providing the most thorough eye exams, as well as medical treatment for certain eye conditions. He is known throughout the area for his ability to fit even the most difficult-to-fit contact lens patients. Our first-class professional services, coupled with a personal approach not found in chains or discount stores have made us the largest independent optometry practice in the area.
History
Established in 1981.
Originally located in Hamden, CT. As the practice grew, we moved to our present and larger facility in North Haven in 1998.

Dr Lawrence Lefland O.
Business Owner
Dr. Lefland attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he was granted the degree of Doctor of Optometry in 1981, and received the Alumni Association Award for Outstanding Scholarship.
Dr. Lefland is a past president of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. The Association honored him in 2003 as «Optometrist of the Year». He is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society, and the American Optometric Association.
He is certified in Advanced Optometric Care, the highest level of licensure for optometrists in Connecticut.
In 2012, Governor Malloy appointed Dr Lefland to the CT Board of Examiners for Optometrists.
For three years he served as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 41 in Woodbridge, CT.
Dr. Lefland resides in North Haven with his wife Ilene and their two children.
