A premier family ski resort located in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. With 2,300 feet of vertical and more skiable acreage than any other mountain in the state, we offer plenty of steeps, glades, and cruisers for skiers and riders of all ages and skill levels. Ski and ride lessons and rentals available. Day and twilight lift service tubing in the North Creek Ski Bowl.

History

Established in 1934.

1934 — The first snow train, carrying 378 winter enthusiasts, arrives in North Creek, NY. Round trip $ 1.50.

1967 — The first gondola in NY State is installed at Gore Mountain. It remains New York’s only gondola until 1999.

1976 — Gore Mountain installs its first snowmaking system.

1984 — Gore installs the“Adirondack Express,” a high-​speed triple, the only lift of its kind in the Eastern US.

1996 — Gore taps the Hudson River for a snowmaking water source and quadruples snowmaking capabilities.

2003 — The North Creek Ski Bowl is opened by Gore for lift service tubing.

2008 — New terrain serviced by a high-​speed quad opens on Burnt Ridge Mtn., increasing Gore’s vertical to 2300′.

2009 — Construction begins on Gore Mountain’s interconnect to the historic North Creek Ski Bowl.
