Established in 2007.

Andrea LaRusso became the owner of The Root Cellar in 2007. We are an Aveda Concept Salon and a unique Boutique with lots of fun Accessories and fun products. Working at the Salon we have 8 stylists and 2 Massage Therapists and an esthetition and a small nail salon in the upstairs!

Andrea moved to the valley in 1989 as a nanny from Michigan. After a year got back into the cosmetology industry and worked at The Cut Off for over 18years before creating The Root Cellar. Andrea is always going to continuing education for hair color and cutting. Her and her staff are always traveling to Hair Shows and classes as well as having in salon classes. Andrea also did some salon education for Paul Mitchell in the past.

My first visit today… my first hair color today… Sarah was OUTSTANDING! The Root Cellar is lucky to have her on their team! I am definitely going back and Sarah is my choice of stylists!

Great atmosphere! Lovely ladies. Recommend Sarah for facials. All were nice and accommodating to our many requests and out of town guests with delays! Danielle did not do a great job with our facials or nails. But I may try again if I visit the area.

Went here for the 1st time on 2÷17÷2015. I am from out of town and ended up staying in the area longer than I planned. I really needed to get my roots done & bangs trimmed. I pick this place because it is an Aveda Salon & also because I like the name of the place, Root Cellar… I needed to get my roots done & figured it was fate!
I called on Monday, even though I knew they were closed, expecting to leave a message. Surprisingly, some one (I think Andrea) picked up the phone. I explained my situation & she pleasantly took my info & made my reservation for the next day.
When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and pleasantly, even though they seemed quite busy for the middle of the day on a Tuesday. While they were notifying my stylist (Sarah) that I had arrived, I was able to browse around. Besides salon products (not only Aveda), they also have some jewelry, scarves, and other accessories for sale.
Sarah greeted & welcomed me. She escorted me to her chair and asked if I wanted any coffee/​tea. Then proceed to ask me what I needed/​wanted. She understood I did not want a full hair cut (I didn’t want to get my usual stylist at home upset). She quickly got my color ready and started right away. As I was waiting for the color to set, a couple of ladies came by to welcome me again & see if I needed anything (tea, water, mag, etc.). I thought that was so nice.
My hair was washed and bangs trimmed. Sarah explained she would trim just a little & would trim more if needed after they were dried. They were perfect! As she was drying my hair we chatted about common interests and local goings-​on.
All in all, it was a great experience and I look forward to making the Root Cellar my salon when I move to the area.
Added bonus, they have off street parking.
