Smooth Move

I had a very short (1 ¼ hour move but there’s a 2 hour minimum) and all I had was some bedroom furniture (dresser, nightstand, box spring, and mattress) and 4 boxes. Moving my box springs down the stairs the man ripped the corner beam at the bottom of the stairs, yes I understand accidents can happen but he was incredibly UN-​apologetic and had the nerve to ask if I was going to want it fixed??? The other man with him was apologetic and very nice but the tall skinny white guy was so lazy, careless, and reeked of smoke so badly that it left my old house smelling like smoke. I had to spend the next 2 ½ hours waiting for their contractor to come to my old house to make the repair (which was so difficult to get him to do because I wasn’t going to take another day off of work for his error) and never received a discount or so much as an apology from whatever man answers their phone calls. And the repair will still need another appointment to finish up the repairs. Accidents happen, but it’s how you handle them that speaks volumes about your character and professionalism and it was completely non existent in my situation. I’m glad others had positive and easy experiences with this company because moving is enough of a pain and expensive but I paid $ 300 for a migraine and they made an already stressful and hectic day 100X worse. Ridiculous!!!

Based on the other reviews here on Unilocal,we decided to use Smooth Move for unloading our trailer. The whole process went smoothly from quotes, scheduling the move, payment options and the move itself. There were no hidden fees from quote. 3 guys, Jay, Antonio and Hattchrey did our move. They very careful moving our furniture into our home. They were excellent and professional. Highly recommend this company.

Brett, Jesse and Pierre were awesome! They packed my stuff carefully — wrapping fragile glass pieces in blankets. They took the time to care! Showed up to unpack with the same amount of courtesy and quickness. It started pouring during the unloading but that did not stop them. Brett made multiple attempts in the pouring rain and was drenched after it was all over. Would definitely use them again!

Everything was easy with Smooth Move. I had to schedule a last minute move for my mother-​in-​law and the whole staff was incredibly accommodating. They made a difficult life experience as easy as could be — and fairly priced. From the initial phone call through the end of the move goodbyes, everyone was polite, courteous, efficient and kind. I booked 2 guys and 3 showed up, but they honored the 2-​man rate without issue. The three guys who did the move were awesome. They were fast but careful and took good care of all belongings to make sure nothing was scratched or broken. One of the easiest and fastest moving experiences I’ve ever had. I would absolutely use them again.

Very professional staff who is flexible with immediate requests. The crew sent to my apartment had my belongings removed and placed into my new home within 4 hours flat. They were very cordial and friendly. I will be recommending them for my mother who has a 6,000 sq. ft. home in Georgia for her move here to Mt. Pleasant. Thanks guys and keep up the great work!

Highly suggest Smooth Move. Have used these guys 2x now and they are friendly, efficient, and do an overall excellent job! Top it off their rates are very reasonable. I really cannot express how happy we were with them and would suggest them to anyone looking to move anything!

Used two men to unload a U-​Pack trailer. They arrived within the scheduled window and worked well together. Kajuan was the lead laborer as he was training a new person (I wish I remembered his name– apologies!) and he made sure they were careful and gave suggestions on how to move furniture up narrow stairs. My furniture was undamaged at the end of the unloading and where I asked them to place it. They were friendly and efficient. Even though they were scheduled for two hours, they were done with about 20 minutes to spare. Standard rate for 2 men to unload a truck for 2 hours was $ 250. Two hours is the least amount of time the company will allow you to reserve. They also brought 2 hand trucks and a dolly to facilitate moving furniture and boxes. My only complaint is the cigarette break they took. I’m allergic to smoke and don’t want my things smelling of smoke.

If I could leave six stars I’d do it. I’ve used these guys twice and both experiences were awesome. Always on time, quick but safe movers and they never seem to stop. In the first move, they came in right at the estimate and in the second, they did it an hour faster than the estimate. One of the owners stopped by during the move to check in and make sure I was happy with everything. All in all — it took one of the main worries of moving off the table which was nice.

My sister recently moved to Chs and hired this company to help her unload the moving truck. They were very courteous and efficient with the whole process. Called a day in advanced to confirm the time and place, then called 15 minutes prior to scheduled arrive time and showed up early. Nothing was damaged and they took special care with fragile items. I watch the whole process and was impressed. They estimated an hour of unloading time and were dead on. Price was very reasonable and worth every penny. I will be hiring them again when my wife and I move soon.

The crew was very professional and were actually 5 minutes early to arrive for pick up. They were very nice and careful. Not one thing arrived scraped or broken. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to all my friends. They assembled and placed all our furniture right where we wanted it. Good job!
