The extremely UNPROFESSIONAL manner in which your joke of «corporate» handled my order is beyond disturbing! I ordered $ 3000.00 worth of furniture, to have 2 Hispanics come into my home and assault me. They dropped my love seat out of the truck and damaged the lid to my console. After calling them out, they started screaming. They were then told to get off my property and refused. They actually went back into my house!!! My fiancée had to rush home from work… after i tell them that… these assholes continue to yell names from the truck and drive around my block for 10 minutes!!! Almost 3 months later… after being told it was on a truck from North Carolina to my house… it still isn’t here. I called last week and was told too bad it’s over seas and you won’t have it until AUGUST! I was haha offered another love seat… ARE YOU KIDDING??? So I can wait a year for that too? Maybe get assaulted again? I don’t know what kind of sick game you’re playing here, but I will tell you this. I recorded every single rude phone call from «corporate» and will take necessary action. *****DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RIP OFF, ABUSIVE COMPANY!*****

Things «look» great in the show room. Feel nice because they aren’t worn in. Sub par couch construction which have weak spring structure. Some people think the foam is what makes a couch sink. Nope. Springs and the way the frame is made. You can’t put more tension on the springs to harden the feel because it’ll break from the frame. They won’t tell you stuff like this but it’s true.

Was going to give a three star… but had to drop it down to a 2-​star rating. Furniture was what we were wanting and at the price we wanted to pay. Far less than other outlet stores (and similar to our pricing at DirectBuy, but add in the shipping etc and it was less expensive to use RTG). Salesperson was very nice. Helped us out with our order in about 30-​minutes. However, he slipped in the fabric protection thingie that I didn’t really want nor ask for and was another $ 70. I made him pull it off the order to keep the price within our budget. So watch out for slick moves to sell you things you don’t need in there.
Always have sales and their prices are fair on OK type furniture, nothing too over the top but it is not cheapo either.
The only really big beef I had was it took us a week to take delivery as we wanted a particular DAY and TIME. So we did without the furniture for a whole week so we could orchestrate our delivery time that fit our schedule. Was to be between 10AM and 2PM. Well we had made plans for after 2PM. Not only did they show up 45-​minutes late (after the 2PM deadline), they split our whole day in half and we missed our after 2PM commitment. We were the last drop off and the delivery dispatcher never called us up to give us a heads up; we had to make several calls to find out what the delay was all about. When I asked them for any type of compensation from a customer-​service perspective for putting us out… they came up empty handed… I asked them to remove the delivery charges from our bill… they didn’t … so… I will not be going back to RTG any time soon.
Note to Management (customer relations 101): Poor customer service = unhappy customer = not a repeat customer.
Nothing against the two delivery guys… they were busting their butts since 2AM coming all the way down to Charleston, SC from Charlotte. My issue was with dispatch and the dispatch’s manager/​customer service person.

Okay… received the 3^rd couch, well half of a couch. Second half doesn’t match the couch we already have and it won’t lock in place. So they agreed to send us a full sectional again. Next delivery was again only half the couch and the arm was broken. Delivery men wouldn’t even take it off the truck and obviously knew before they arrived it was broken. Dealing with managers and assist managers, customer service and finally received a call from the warehouse. Warehouse claims to have never heard from customer service or store manager and the only reason they called was from a report she pulled. Oh… customer service claims rooms to go has a no refund policy. So this could go on indefinitely.

After looking on their website and seeing their fantastic prices, my husband and I decided to start our furniture search here. We were very impressed with the selection and customer service — Rachel was able to answer our questions without harassing us (as some furniture stores can do). The one negative I have about their business model is knowing that even if I pay for a piece 100% ahead of time and schedule a delivery a few weeks away, the piece can still disappear between now and when I want it to be delivered. There is zero advantage of purchasing something ahead of time. As they put it, if your piece is not there any longer, you can choose a new piece for the same price or have your money returned. That seems like a huge hassle to me (and a let down)! We’ll be going back when we are 1 – 2 weeks away from moving so this doesn’t happen to us.

Wow, if you enjoy wasting hours of your time this is the place to shop! My order was lost and then messed up. Delivery date changed at least 3 times to only get damaged furniture. To top it off my replacement pieces were also damaged. The office staff seems to be completely incompetent.

Still trying to get the correct rug– 3 tries, an undamaged sofa sleeper-​3 tries, and an undamaged cocktail table– 3 tries. One might think «oh well at least they’re trying… Order placed Labor Day weekend and it’s now halfway through November…

Horrible, horrible place to work and to shop! As a former employee they lie, cheat and STEAL from you! As a consumer… they lie, cheat and STEAL from you! I would HIGHLY recommend you do not work there or shop there!!! Read the reviews… and take heed!!! If I need to go into detail about the lieing, cheating and stealing… I can. Just ask. As for now… it is simply too much to type.

This will be short and sweet… when I go into a furniture store I hate to be harassed as soon as I walk in… haha such a negative!!!
And so over priced for what you get… I like unique and craftmanship… never had been in this store… will not again…
Maybe that’s why it was empty… and reviews so poor… geeze I would wanna know if it was my store…

I was pretty nervous going there after reading all the bad reviews but I was also very surprised, because that is not how I remembered it from 12 years ago when we bought pretty much all of our furniture there (which we still have, by the way).
Anyway; when I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman. BOB (in the yellow shirt) asked if he can help me, pointed me in the right direction and left me alone for quiet some time so I could look around and only twice discreetly asked if I needed anything.
After I settled on a sofa, he was more than happy to give me different quotes what the end price would be with a protection plan or without & explained how the material of this particular sofa was made and how to care for it.
He than also very effectively got the paper work done for their financing plan, got me signed up, approved and out of the door.
The whole experience took maybe (and only because I kept checking in with my husband who was at work) 45 minutes!
THAT is how I love to shop!
I can and will recommend this store and especially BOB for –once again– satisfying this shopping experience!

Rooms To Go is quite the experience.
You know that feeling you get when you pull up at a car lot and you are just waiting for the vultures? That’s how it feels walking in the door at this furniture store.
All of the employees are lined up on the sofa talking to each other and staring at you when you walk in the door. You start to feel like a freshman that accidentally sat at the senior table. It’s pretty weird.
The sales lady than makes you feel like you are stupid because you didn’t order the protection warranty so she sends you to the manager who than continues to «persuade» you that not getting the protection plan is unheard of. I explain that if we were buying a sofa set from a nice furniture store we would get the plan but nothing at rooms to go is ever going to be strong enough to protect my furniture from my children. Nice try though.
Than, we order a really nice mattress and I see on our bill that the sales lady adds $ 70.00 to the bill for an allergy cover. I didn’t hear anyone say“would you like to order an allergy cover?” how would she feel if I bought some stuff that I think she might want with her money? She probably wouldn’t like it. I go back, and she looks at me like I have 3 heads. She than begins to explain how dirty it is to not have an allergy cover! I could not believe what I was hearing! I explain I have one already but I don’t care what it is you don’t charge someone for items they didn’t order.
Look at your monthly bill if you purchase from this second rate furniture store.

I Ordered furniture from Rooms To Go less than a year ago. My recliner broke literally before the year warranty was up. The customer service was prompt and very helpful in the beginning. They sent over a technician to inspect the broken piece. He took pictures to send to the manufacturer (synergy home furnishings). I was suppose to get a call with in 3 business days, which didn’t happen I had to call them. After talking to the customer service representative who wasn’t the most pleasant person to talk to, they told me that the broken piece on my recliner wasn’t a manufacturing defect due to the fact that it didn’t show up a year ago broken. I was then told I could order the piece for $ 110 but I would have to install it myself. I have a love seat and couch which both have problems. This is the biggest rip off I have ever dealt with. I’ve worked on aviation metals for years and I can tell you that this piece of metal wouldn’t have broken due to just sitting and normal wear and tear to the furniture unless the metal was defective. I’m very upset that now I have furniture less than a year old and it’s broken. I have had back surgery and sitting in this crap hurts it worse. So for those of you looking to buy new furniture STAY AS FAR AWAY from Rooms To Go as possible! I hope this helps out anyone in the market for furniture!

Awful! Do not come here to get your furniture. I had to reschedule my delivery twice and didn’t get my furniture till over a month after I bought it. During my second reschedule they hung up on me twice. Very poor customer service!

Furniture arrived broken– the replacement piece arrived broken. We were unable to set up our delivery times and had to take off work to wait for them to arrive. The piece looked nice in the store but the one we received feels very cheap. They will harass you to try to confirm delivery times, calling from blocked numbers– rather sketchy. And you can barely understand what they are saying in the message. We will never ever purchase from rooms to go again.

I recently purchased two couches and scheduled a delivery date. I was given a time window of 7am-​11am. I fit my plans around the scheduled delivery time and was not called until 12:25. I waited for the movers to get here and they arrived at around 1pm. They tried to move one of the couches in my house for about 15 minutes. I have stairs and it is very hard to move furniture. I tried to offer another way of moving the couch in because they were unable to get it in the one way they tried. They took the couch and loaded it back into the truck and loaded the other couch on the truck and left without saying anything. The movers were highly unprofessional and just flat out rude! I cannot believe an established company like Rooms To Go would hire such unprofessional individuals. I cannot believe that the movers wouldn’t even try! Very unsatisfyed and unhappy.

Went to Rooms to Go Kids on Labor Day thinking they would be fully staffed and ready to assist. I am a soon to be first time mom and fully researched the crib set I wanted, thinking I could see it in the store before I made my final decision. They had 2 cribs in the entire store and no full set. There was no one available to help me. I walked the entire store and finally got asked if someone had helped, said no, and they still had me wait. They advised me that I could look at the cribs in a brochure, but had nothing in store. Saw another pregnant woman being helped and she was forced to stand instead of sitting while doing her order. I left without any further acknowledgement of the staff. Will not be purchasing anything from them in the future, between the poor service and awful reviews.

Update to my first review back in March. Looks like another mattress is needed. This is after upgrading to an almost $ 4000 Tempurpedic mattress. This will be mattress number 4. Starting to think that RTG is knowingly selling defective furniture. Anyone else gone through 4 brand new mattresses in less than 2 years? I realize not everyone who is buying furniture from this store is having these kinds of issues but c’mon already. Would love to get my money back in cash and buy a mattress somewhere else but I think we are stuck.

Very difficut company to deal with. After they delivered the wrong bedroom set, they refused to take my calls. I had to go into the store to get speak with someone who admited fault and scheduled delivery of my correct bedroom set. You would think they would rush the delivery, but no. I had to wait 2 weeks before they were able to deliver it. (That’s after waiting the inital 1^st week for the wrong set!) So a day before it was supposed to be delivered… they called and rescheduled until 4 days later due to inclement weather. Now it will have been a month and I still don’t have my bedroom set. Naturally I called to get my delivery fee refunded. They told me a supervisor would call me back. Of course, they did not. I called back and reported the same, and the supervisor (who I didn’t get to speak directly with) told me they could not refund my delivery. Instead, they offered me a $ 50 gift card to Rooms to Go! I told them there was no way I was spending anymore money there and asked if they could take the $ 50 off my current order I haven’t recieved yet. Guess what they said? They’ll have a supervisor from the store call me about it tomorrow. $ 10 bucks says they don’t call.
Way too much of a headache to shop here, and nobody ever calls you back!

I recently purchased the Dumont King Bedroom set from your store in Charleston, SC. Initially I was very happy with the bedroom set as it is a very beautiful set. However, within the first night the bed was loudly squeaking any time anybody moved in the bed. As I am a light sleeper, this is absolutely not acceptable especially considering the price of the bed. I immediately contacted Rooms To Go Customer Service in order to have a technician come look at the bed, and was told nobody could come look at the bed for another two weeks. That unfortunately meant another two weeks of sleepless nights with continuously getting woken up throughout the night. To make matters worse, when the technician did finally arrive at the scheduled 4 hour time window he was by himself. He proceeded to look at the bed and confirm that it did indeed squeak very loudly, but that it was a two person job and we’d need to schedule yet another time window where we would have to set aside another 4 hours to sit at the house. Our order showed the size of the bed we had, and the problem we had so there is no reason why two people should not have been sent the first time, the reassembly of a king size bed of that size is always going to be a two person job. After setting up another appointment we waited the entire time window and nobody arrived. Upon inquiring we were told the driver called and when nobody answered, he chose to not leave a voicemail and just not show up at all. Once again we scheduled another 4 hour time window and yet again nobody showed up and not a single missed call this time. At this point I am done dealing with customer service and inquired about just having the defective furniture picked up for a refund since Rooms To Go is too incompetent to rectify the problem, but was told we couldn’t do so without a technician looking at the furniture. Well a technician did look at the furniture already the first time and confirmed the problem, we just can’t get a technician to come to correct the problem.

Came back again because I was told that the sales person I was working with would be working. Well, she wasn’t. I don’t believe that someone who didn’t do the work should get credit for a sale. The manager stood behind that type of behavior. I’m taking my business to the Internet. Now nobody gets commission for the sale.
