Obviously Monday night at 720 is not a good time. No food, and what is out is not nice looking or appetizing. 3 customers in front of me waiting for food to come out, one guy cooking, one girl stirring fried rice and staring into space and one girl not doing anything. I decided to take what was out there as I was in a hurry. Had to beg for my free egg roll. Got home, lo mein is hard and other food is cold and unappetizing. Won’t go back. Hire some employees or teach the other two to cook

Very terrible service and food is not fresh and orders get mixed up and wrong. Place is new but terrible. The employees here don’t care about the customers.

Food is good but waiting 10 minutes to pay while your food gets cold at the counter is kind of ridiculous when I’m the only one in line.

½ of childrens side(white rice) and ½ of childrens side(chow mein) equals kids meal($ 4.90)??? To me two half side items should equal one side item($ 2.70 — $ 3.70). Watch out for creative pricing.

Trapped in the drive-thru for well over 30 mins. Finally got to the window and was given no explanation for the slow service after asking. Told them to keep the food and drove next door to ChickFilA. Waited in line, ordered and drove away from the window before the car behind me at Panda got their order. That’s the slowest fast food experience I have ever had in my life. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share it.

Overall I loved this place! It was my first time eating here and the food was great. I got the 3 choice combo and a side with a HUGE sweet tea and it was around $ 11. I thought it was a very reasonable price. I would deff eat here again!!!

Food is decent. It’s fast Chinese so don’t expect too much. Service is decent. One young man working on the register acts like he should be working at McDonalds. Just doesn’t care so takes away from the others.

Mediocre over priced food. I absolutely love this franchise but not this location. The one on rivers Ave has better service, better food, and better portions. I’ve been here at least 3 times when I have a Chinese craving in a pinch and each time has only been decent. This last encounter will be my last. No longer wasting my money here.

Great healthy food for a good price. Had the mushroom chicken with mixed veggies. Under 300 calories.

I love Panda Express. It’s my favorite«ameri-chinese» food. We went to this location around 6pm and the selections were all a little low. There was one order of walnut shrimp left, our group finished the orange chicken, there was no grilled teriyaki chicken at all. My rice was very dry and clearly from an old batch. They were making new batches of things, but we were getting take out and didn’t have 10 min to wait. I’m sure we could have waited for brand new fresh whatever, but we just didn’t have time. I wish their food was replenished in a more timely manner to alleviate that. I was excited to have a Panda close by(just moved here), but this wasn’t great. I’ll be back because I know they can do better.

Mall Chinese. It’s nowhere near the real thing. If you’re from up north you know what I mean. I’ve never seen a free standing Panda. It’s serviceable, there are several options, the menu is kinda hard to decipher on what’s the best deal. Best bet is 2 entrée meal w 1 side because it’s only $ 1 more than 1 entrée and 1 side bowl option that is offered. I had the veg side — broc, green beans, carrot, cabbage. The cabbage is just a filler, I wish there was more broccoli. Orange chicken was crispy and saucy, I’m sure it’s a calorie bomb. Chicken and string bean was really good but the bowl was low so the server gave extra orange chicken to compensate. If I have to eat lunch at Tanger and I don’t want chickfila this is where I’ll be.

I enjoy going to Panda Express for the quality of the food. The vegetables are prepared in house(cleaned, cut/chopped, stored, etc) and are made to order(usually through the drive thru only, inside you must ask for it) I have gone inside only once, as I usually go through the drive thru, but it was clean and organized. The line was ridiculously long and slow as they only had one person working the entire long counter of food. It was an «off» time, too– not lunch or dinner rush. I usually go on the website and use their nutrition calculator to determine what I will be ordering. It is a great tool and I am thankful they offer it. Their chicken and string beans is the best! The staff is very friendly and accommodating with dietary needs. I recommend this place for a lighter meal with delicious flavor.

First time visit… the place was clean and appeared to be well-staffed but it took a few minutes to be served since they were filling drive thru orders. Several trays were empty/almost empty. The girls serving the food repeatedly called to the cooks to refill the trays. The broccoli pieces were quite large and difficult to stab with a fork and too bulky to bite with chopsticks and they were just this side of raw. The orange chicken was tasty but the pieces were again too large. I saw other diners using their fingers to eat it, but I chose to take what I couldn’t eat back to work to cut it up with a knife for tomorrow’s lunch. After reading the Unilocal reviews, I decided to skip the chow mein noodles and go with the fried rice but it was extremely bland… a few packs of soy sauce and plum sauce along with a cup of teriyaki sauce made it tolerable. My opinion: there’s too much rice and too little entrée. The vegetable spring rolls(2) and cream cheese rangoons(3) are only a dollar. They are decent but not worth trying again. The meal was packed in a styrofoam box and placed in a bag. Sweet and sour sauce was placed in a cup and then in a box. Condiments were individually wrapped — too much waste here. Bottles on the table or dispensers would probably be better. Not very«eco-friendly.» Use the receipt to complete a survey about your meal and get a free entrée on a future visit with a 2-entrée purchase.

Panda is pretty good. The staff seems to be just getting it together. They often run out of food. I had to wait for chicken the first time I went — and they forgot about me. The second time I went in, they were out of what I wanted and I selected another dish. My wife has had similar experience dining with her friends. The food is good and hot and the staff is friendly. The upside of them running out is that the food is freshly cooked.

Ever since I left texas I have been wanting some Orange Chicken at panda express. We were excited when they opened this location. I was a little upset that they didnt have the passion ice tea on their drink menu. The passion tea is soooo good. We enjoy the honey walnut shrimp! mushroom chicken and orange chicken. This is a fast food American Chinese food which is far from authentic. We always enjoy visiting a Panda and glad they have expanded in to the Charleston market. Freshly made foods. All veggies are freshly cut in store. Use the coupon in the back of your receipt for future savings.

Went there for lunch. It was busy and you are able to get through the line quickly but not many places to sit down. Luckily we started ours to go so we ended up eating in the car. The food is same as Panda Express that were in the malls. It’s fast food and nothing stands out as especially good or bad.

This the the first time I have been to a Panda Express, but from what I have heard from others, this is not the best example of what they normally offer. My meats were good but I had to wait on them to prepare my orange chicken and they seemed to be having a little trouble keeping up with the moderate demand of customers in line to eat. My chow mein was undercooked and chewy. I complained to the manager and they immediately went to the cook and informed him to cook it longer. I will have to see if they improve the next time I go. **Be warned that the fried rice is made with BROWN rice and has a totally different texture from normal fried rice.** If you don’t like brown rice, they offer plain white rice as an option.

Definitely not the best Panda Express I ever tried, but I would go back one more time. If it is better next time, I’ll keep coming back. I can’t believe that this location is the first Panda Express in the Charleston area. I would think Panda would be a big hit with people around here. The interior was different from the many other Pandas I’ve been to. They don’t have an L shaped serving area anymore. It’s just a straight line. I believe they have a drive thru around back, which was a first. I’ve never seen a drive thru Panda until now. As for the food, I ordered a 2 item entrée with chow mein, orange chicken, and the surf and turf. The chow mein was the worst I’ve tasted. The noodles were very, very chewy, like they weren’t fully cooked. My friend I went with told the workers about it and they only said they will tell the cooks about it. As for the surf and turf, it wasn’t hot. It had flavor and I liked eating it, but I wish it was hotter. As for the orange chicken, they were out when I ordered it. You would think that for the best selling item, that they would have it made constantly. Anyway, they brought 2 orders out to our table a few minutes later. It was nice, hot, and delicious. They do have military discount!!!
