SUPER quick and friendly service!!! I was very surprised! Our car ordered five different beverages and they all came out in a timely manner! I would say it only took like 5 – 10 mins for all five and there was only the one barista. Two diff drinks came out at once so he was probably multi tasking very successfully.

Love the location, as I’m always dying for a cup of coffee after one of the North Bend hikes. The vanilla latte is pretty good, not as good as some of the coffee shops in Redmond/​Bellevue though. Took a star off for the seemingly unenthusiastic staff, I’m far too used to cheerful, friendly baristas

I’m a coffee snob and even downtown Seattle sometimes feels like a bitter shot of Wastelandia, so I am serious when I say that New Dawn is my go-​to place for a double espresso in North Bend. They use Dillano’s — nice and roasty. Java UP!

New Dawn is consistently wonderful, and that’s exactly what you want in a coffee place.
They have all the standard espresso drinks you could possibly want, they make a mean hot cocoa and their smoothies are amazing. Plus, you get a punch card and after 9 drinks, your 10th one is free.

When I left West Seattle for Little Si yesterday I kept thinking «I need to stop for coffee so that I don’t get a headache» and I kept seeing Starbucks on my way there. But Starbucks wouldn’t do. And When I saw New Dawn, I was almost at the mountain and I didn’t want to hike with a stomach full of coffee. So I didn’t get any, and I forgot about it.
On my way back down from Little Si, that’s when the headache began. Shit. But I made it out okay, and the first thing I saw was NEW DAWN ESPRESSO. OH MAN, WAS I HAPPY. Then I was happier when the barista was SUPER NICE and totally humored me by listening when I was all «I JUST HIKED UP A MOUNTAIN AND I AM PROUD AND I’M DYING.» Then I was happier when I saw they had soy milk, since I’m off dairy at the moment. Then I was happier when my delicious iced coffee with soy milk was $ 1.65.
So thanks. Crisis averted.

It’s okay that you, the high school age barista, couldn’t manage a smile to hide your disappointment that you had to work on a such lovely September day. It’s okay that for some reason the iced latte you served me decided to leak all over my light beige corduroy skirt. It’s okay, because you were there to make me coffee when there was no one else around. It’s okay, because as this drink leaks all over me, I am on my way to Little Si and and taking in the most incredibly gorgeous view, and I am happy to be alive and caffeinated in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
