Barstools and Dinettes

Just had a great experience at this store. So many choices to look at before you place a custom order. They even let you take one home to try out! Great owners — great product choice — great service! Check em out!

We’d been looking for a dining table and chairs for quite a few months and had been to many stores – including nearly every store in the furniture mecca of Tukwila. Everything we’d seen was beyond our price range or really cheaply made. We also hated the The high-​pressure sales environments of the places in Tukwila. Little did we know we didn’t have to travel outside our own town to find what we were looking for!
We walked into Barstools and Dinettes and found a table we loved right away. The price was just right for our budget and it was good quality with the perfect style. We got exactly what we wanted – solid wood, smallish and narrow size table to fit in the space we had but with lots of leaves to add when we had company.
Lee, the owner/​operator was extremely helpful – gave us space to make a decision but provided helpful information when we needed it. We couldn’t decide on the color we wanted, so Lee let us take a display chair home to see how it would look.
We came back that afternoon and placed our order for the dining room set. The order arrived within a week and a half and Lee was great at communicating with us the entire time.
We were really amazed at his selection of both barstools and casual dining sets. If we ever have a need for barstools, we know the first and only place to go. The owners are incredibly kind, friendly and informative. They have a hometown feel (yea for supporting local businesses!) with a wide selection. Lee told us that his customers from from all over the US and Canada. With the selection and friendly atmosphere, I’m not surprised that people travel to find just what they are looking for.

We have been looking for the perfect barstools for a number of years, and saw plenty of «OK’ styles and «close» options, but recently really needed to get serious about choosing seating for our kitchen. The choices at Barstools and Dinettes are quite overwhelming, but what this means is that you can find what you want. We spent a lot of time deciding, trying, picturing. We were not rushed, but were offered help as we processed. We could not be happier with our new barstools, and the quality of service we received. The entire process was above our expectations and we highly recommend Barstools and Dinettes. You will not be disappointed!

Ok, let’s do the one little bad thing right up front. If you live in Seattle this is a bit of a hike. That said, it’s worth it and the only place where you’re going to be able to get your barstools in the area.
My wife and I just purchased a house that included counter seating for 6, which we loved as we entertain a fair amount. The problem — we now needed 6 counter stools. This led us to one furniture store, after another, after another. What we discovered is, at least at the stores we went to, the selection of counter stools is rather limited. We couldn’t find exactly what we wanted, and we didn’t want to compromise.
So, we hopped in the car and made the drive out to North Bend. We’re thrilled that we did!
First up, Lee the owner is extremely friendly. He welcomed us in and just let us try out every stool he has in the shop. And it’s a lot. Oh — and if the selection that you see there isn’t enough you can get the stools customized, which we did. Lee periodically checked on how we were doing, offered suggestions and advice, but mostly just let us roam and didn’t once make us feel pressured.
After being there for a good 45 minutes we finally settled on the chairs we wanted, and the customizations we wanted to make. We paid half up front and waited for the stools to arrive.
A few weeks later Lee called us up, let us know the chairs were in stock and scheduled delivery. He was able to get them delivered the next day, out to West Seattle, for a great price. The delivery guy (whose name I can’t remember), was extremely friendly and got everything set up in no time flat. Oh, and delivery was in the evening, which is nice for people with a day job.
If you’re looking for counter or barstools, this really is the only place to go.

What a great store. After visiting PIer 1 and some other chains it is such a relief to visit a family owned store not trying to up-​sell you a credit card as soon as you walk through the door. They had a great selection and Lee was incredibly knowledgeable about his merchandise. They also let me take a couple floor items home to see how they would look in the house. Ended up ordering 2 stools and got delivered in exactly the timeframe they said. Highly recommend.
