Luxsis Nail Spa

Went there for a no chip manicure 4 weeks ago, and the polish is still on. Pretty impressive I think. The lady that was doing my nails was talking to other nail technicians though and not really paying a lot of attention to me, she cut my skin on my pinky finger which made the rest of the appointment rather uncomfortable. Accidents happen, I suppose, and they made up for it in my opinion with their very lasting polish. It was also pretty awkward when another nail technician asked the lady how much gratuity I left for my lady before I was even out the door. If it weren’t for the lasting polish I wouldn’t be going back.

I get my nails done here with my mom every 2 weeks for a fill. I make an appointment with who they call «New Vicki» because there is another lady named Vicki there who has worked there longer. I am never disappointed with my nails from «New Vicki». She does an amazing job and really listens to what you want (color, shape, length, style…) I really recommend making appointments with her!

Staff is extremely kind and professional. Loved my nails and the pedicure was amazing!

I went there for eyebrows, upper lip and under arm waxing, the result were nice but my only concern was, the lady did not even change the stick and she doubled, tripled and quadrupled dips. I don’t think I will go back. Yucks!

The service was excellent and everyone was very helpful and friendly. I got a pedicure and had eyebrow waxing done. My wife had a mani pedi and we both felt that the care and services were top notch.

Went to this nail salon for the first time today for a pedicure. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the good fortune to have a pro doing it. Old Vicky (vs. new Vicky) was incredible. She asked questions, always checking to be sure I was comfortable and that the treatment was not painful. I went with the incredible Luxsis Spa Pedicure. It included hot stone massage and paraffin and left my feet smooth and silky. The pedicure room is quiet and soothing. They even offered me water, lemonade and tea. Vicky could not have been nicer and I was impressed how clean the salon looked.

I had 2 fills done since the original set. The first fill was once again, really bad. She took almost no time at all and left the nail awkwardly thick (acrylic not mine). The 2^nd fill was good, but i think it was tough to fix the other’s mistakes. Just not worth the headache for the hit or miss service. Several of them seem to have absolutely no problem leaving the nail waaay too thick for the sets. Paul (mani/pedi’s) and Tina (sets and fills) are both very good btw.

You know I’m all about giving people second chances, unfortunately this place actually got worse. I was crunched for time, and this place is close to home so I foolishly stopped in for a gel fill before vacation, instead of hitting up my usual Nail Care across from the Fox Valley Mall. I have white powder instead of pink, but the nail tech assured me he could do pink and it wouldn’t matter, um ok? He rushed through the fill and finished up my no-​chip with no lotion, massage, etc. They looked ok, but the polish started chipping almost immediately. After a few days of vacation I went in to get them fixed but instead they told me I needed another fill, after a little back and forth I said ‘F’ it and got another fill. What was I thinking?!? This woman clipped my nails so short, filled them sloppily, and refused to file them down so my nails are wider than my actual nail, wtf?! when I asked her the third time to narrow down my nail, she told me oh relax it’s the new style. Really? short, wide nails are the new style? As I’m typing this, the no-​chip is already chipping off — from yesterday! I am going back to Nail Care tonight so they can fix these, I warn you to stay away from Luxis unless you are fine with having corners cut with service and quality while still paying a standard rate.

Update: I went back.
No, not for funsies, but rather, for them to fix what they seriously messed up!
I called beforehand and spoke with Vin and said I’m not happy with the quality (as a recap in case you missed my first review: no massage, lotion that was put on my arms and not even rubbed in, a color I didn’t like, a woman literally yelling at me, and nail polish all over my fingers) and he told me stop in that afternoon and he would redo it. I asked for 5:30, he said 6.
I arrived before 6 so as to pick out a color I really liked. Essentially nobody working greeted me, and a customer had to show me where the polishes were because not a single employee cared to, apparently. Such friendly service.
The woman who had done my manicure the day before approached me, waving the nail polish bottle of the color I had picked the previous day and yelling at me «YOU PICKED THIS COLOR!» to which I calmly responded, «Yes, and now I’m picking a new color» and she again yelled the same thing, so I again repeated the same thing. Other patrons waiting for their services tried to help me by saying «different color» to the screaming woman. She then, in my face, shouted «YOU PICK NEW COLOR, YOU PAY!!!» insisting that I pay for someone to redo my nails, correctly.
Oh yes, this sure had my blood boiling, but I kept my cool and finally around 6:30 Vin did my nails himself. He was overly-​particular, which I guess was fine, but I literally didn’t leave until 8 pm. Though I do appreciate him redoing it for me, and showing the older woman what she had done wrong (though she seemed to disagree, based on her yelling and some other woman working there profusely apologizing to me), it just isn’t worth my return. There are many other salons I can visit.
NOW I will not return.

Good afternoon! I cannot say enough great things about this Salon! Upon receiving horrendous service from a shop that I used to frequent. I was in a panic trying to get my no chip manicure done the afternoon before easter. I called at 455pm told Tony my situation and he said «Of course we would be glad to take care of you… see you soon»
Upon arriving ten minutes later I was greeted with a warm welcome by all staff members. Their shop is spotless! Each and every one of their customers were clearly happy and satisfied and their shop was filled. In my opinion great service goes a long way.
Tony immediately asked me if I would like something to drink and started my manicure. He kept emphasizing on making sure his customers were happy. Needless to say I was extremely satisfied with the end result and will share this place with my colleagues, friends and family !!! Thank you again for going the extra mile! Your hard work and dedication is what sets you apart from the rest!
See you in two weeks!

Love love love this salon!!! Been going here for a long time and would go no where else to get a pedi or mani. I also like the way they wax my eyebrows. Very good service and very clean!

I have been going here for almost a year and really love it. I normally get gel fills (I have very weak nails and no-​chip doesn’t cut it for me) from Tim and am BEYOND pleased. I have also gotten pedicures and had many visiting family members get manis, no-​chip manicures and pedicures and they have all loved it!!! The service is good and the environment is peaceful and clean. I would highly recommend!!! Tim is the BEST!!!

WHY didn’t I know about this salon before? I got a pedicure there this afternoon, and Vicky got a client for life. She was wonderful, and gave me the best foot and leg massage I’ve ever had. I brought my own polish because I get stuck on certain colors, and she wasn’t fazed. Some places get weird if you bring your own, but she was fine with it.
Please try this wonderful place. The prices are reasonable, and the service impressive!

They did a good job. My no chip actually lasted 2 weeks. The only reason I need to go in and have it done again is because my nails are growing. The only downside is their prices are a little high and they didn’t do no no chip all the way to the cuticle. (They left a little gap) which obviously doesn’t make it last as long. Still I will be back.

I always have a good experience here. Lily is my favorite! It’s ver clean and the customer service is excellent from everyone. I highly recommend it!

Lily does a great job every time. Prices are very good and the finished product always looks fantastic! Salon is always clean and everyone is friendly.

First time trying this place and I wasn’t impressed. Seemed like the average nail salon. I didn’t like how dirty and stained their chairs are or how all the women talk in front of you in their foreign language the entire time. The place seemed clean for the most part besides the chairs. My nails turned out ok. I’m not sure I would return thought.

I’ve been coming here since they opened for pedicures and more recently the no-​chip manicure. This is a great salon with a friendly and efficient staff. Their prices are very reasonable but what keeps me coming back is the staff and the clean salon.
I generally call ahead to make an appointment so I don’t have to wait as long if they are busy.
They don’t allow you to put tips on your credit card though, so bring enough cash with you!

This place is very nice. They have a great ambiance and the technicians are very pleasant. I have had several great no-​chip manicures, and a friend of mine has had beautiful acrylics done here.
I feel terrible because the last two times I went I did not tip because I forgot that you can’t put the tip on a credit/​debit card. Remember to bring cash for a tip when you go here.
