Wanted to thank Vicki and Nina for the superior service to my wife and I on our recent house hunting trip to North Aurora. We wanted to buy a new home but we’re on a deadline to purchase a home due to recent relocation. It so happened they had a home that had recently fell though and the inside was just framed and the outside was nearly completed. We were able to work out a deal and my wife was able to pick out all the details on the inside in just one day. Nina guided my wife through this process efficiently and Vicki was able to get all our paperwork completed in a timely manner. We are looking forward to moving into our new home in mid late August. Thanks again to the Gladstone team!

I purchased a Wildstone Model from Gladstone Homes in one of the Plainfield Communities and I just fell in love with the home. I had looked at many builders before making a decision but I just couldn’t find one that met all of my criteria. I wanted a spacious home with high-end amenities in a great location with a unique floor plan. I would find 2 out of 3 things but never everything on my list. Until, I stumbled upon Gladstone Homes in a Naperville community. As soon as I opened the door, I was amazed! The home was gorgeous. It was an open concept with the staircase in the back of the home and a two-sided stone fireplace that separated the dining room and the living room(I had always wanted a fireplace in the dining room to create a warm ambiance when entertaining). It was perfect, and so was the master suite. I love the optional vaulted and tray ceilings throughout the house because it adds dimension and character to the home. Also, I was really impressed that the builder offered Viking appliances at a reasonable cost and so I opted for them. But what really sold me on the house in addition to the floor plan was the price. When I compared Gladstone’s prices with other competitors, Gladstone’s pricing included more standard features like the two-sided stone fireplace I mentioned, hardwood flooring, and a custom oak stair case. These standard features were other builder’s upgrades and some builders didn’t offer them at all. Not to mention, the design center is great and so is the customer service. I highly recommend Gladstone Homes!

My husband and I had a very unpleasant experience here, so much so, I am still thinking about it sometime later. We came to this builder /model home, and explained to the sales person that we were not very serious about house hunting. In fact, we told her it was our first day out, and we were really just trying to see what was out there. We were very clear that we had recently purchased a home in Geneva, but were toying around with the idea of moving, as we were not sure about the neighborhood, and wanted a more upgrades. The saleswoman told us that was absolutely fine, and sent us into the first house to tour it on our own. Two minutes later, she appeared in the house, and asked if we had any questions. We had barely moved into one of the rooms, so we certainly did not have any questions. She disappeared, but five minutes later, while we were on the second floor of the house, she returned! This time, she did not leave us alone. In fact, she followed us to the next house. I mentioned the second house was very similar to our current property. She seemed to really latch on to that idea, as she kept saying it was perfect for us. My husband and I were both very aggravated but the woman would not leave us alone for even a second to discuss what we thought about the property. We needed some serious breathing room. She finally left us alone so we could go into the third house, which she had already proclaimed we would not like, as the second one was perfect for us. Walking back to the sales office after touring the third home, we actually discussed running to the car to avoid having to talk to the woman again. Instead, we decided to be direct, and told her again that we were not certain we wanted to move at all. Anyway, we finally got out of her clutches and went home. She proceeded to send me seven emails over the next month, asking when we wanted to come out for another look, or if we might be incentivized to move! I could not get over how pushy she was, especially with a couple who was very clear they might not move at all! The irony is that her pushiness is what made us decide to stay put, as we decided we did not want to go through the hassle of moving if it meant dealing with people like her! On the subject of the properties themselves, by the way, they are definitely showing their age. The models need to be updated, as the decorating is very outdated now. The home themselves were fine, but at the price they were charging, we expected a few more upgrades to be standard.
