Couldn’t be happier with how smoothly my pup’s neuter experience went. Clean office, friendly staff, and he was done right on time.

After getting a quote from my vet for a whopping $ 500 to have my dog neutered and a couple teeth extracted, I decided to research around! I had no idea these non for profit organizations (like FVAWL) offered such reasonable rates! I was sold!
I just picked up my fur baby, Ollie from getting neutered! I am sooooooo impressed with Fox Valley Welfare Animal League! The drop off was very organized and super efficient, which I really appreciated since I had an hr drive back to work! When I picked him up, the staff was warm and inviting!
My final bill was $ 80 (which included medication)! Amazing! I still can’t believe people continue to pay those ridiculous costs! It was well worth the 4 hrs I drove today! No regrets!

This place is soooooo rude!!! Wow called to try to make a appt for my dogs shots… called for months leaving my # twice like they request for messages for call backs. called for months no return call!!! Then finally called when someone decided to work and was there I guess. her name was ELLEN wow what a angry lady! Extremely rude and just VERY unprofessional!!! Can’t believe they let someone work at a place that handles animals. a place people donate money and time to HELP… Not be a angry mean person!!! Sorry ur life sux Ellen but not our fault!!! And for someone who claims to be the «President» of the company… ur a horrible person! I used to tell people bout ur great programs and services not anymore! Ur a horrible person and will def be calling daily to tell the «Director» of ELLENs behavior thanks!!! Sure hope Ellen sees this too. again what an awful angry unprofessional woman! Good luck:)

I have had 12 kitten/​cats (mostly feral) spayed or neutered at FVAWL and all were fine and healthy when I picked them up and their recovery was quick. Always great instructions for after surgery care and I was also asked if I wanted pain meds. Staff was very friendly and helpful and I never felt rushes when asking questions. The facility was very clean and I am very impressed at how efficient thing ran with the amount of animals they care for each day. They do a great job! I knew going in they were not a full service vet facility but for what they do do, I highly recommend checking it out. I also get my flea and tick meds there.

I took my dog here to be neutered, get his rabies shot, pain meds to take home and microchip. went to pick him up after, and he was bleeding all over the floor. My first thought is that his incision opened, but thankfully it was just his toenail. This would be okay, except no one told me his nails would be cut, and it was cut halfway up the quick! His nail did not stop bleeding until hours later. I now have blood all over my carpet and bed. They also did not provide a cone to prevent him from chewing and licking on his stitches. You get what you pay for I guess.
I want to add that the lady at the front desk was very friendly, and was very helpful in explaining the aftercare and everything I took home with him. Even though she had other people waiting.

After 2 days, she was back to her energetic, playful behaviors. The incision from the surgery was small, clean, and nicely stitched (This was a major concern for me since my other female cat had a 4 inch, irritated incision when I took her to a different clinic). I would not reccomend this place. I first went to get my cat spayed and they did a great job and the staff was very friendly. I was impressed so I decided to bring in my other cat to get her rabies shot taken care of by them. That seemed to go well also. It wasn’t until I went to get my tags for her at the county did I realize they classified her as «not spayed» and that results in a big price difference when it comes to the tags. Not a big deal I thought because FVAWL policy is that all animals must be spayed (and that must be proven to them) in order to get any vaccinations. I thought it was just a clerical error that could easily be corrected. When I called with the problem the guy I spoke with was very rude and hung up on me! When I called back I told him he hung up and he just said he did not want to deal with me and hung up agian! The third time I called a lady answered and I asked to speak with a manager. She told me the guy I previously spoke with was the director! That is astounding to me. I work in a customer service based industry and I know how diffcult some people can be so when I find myself being the customer I try not to be difficult no matter what the situation. (although by the third call my previous statememt no longer applied). It’s incredible to me that the director of the clinic was so rude for only a minor clerical error. I will not be going back to this clinic and have since gone to Spay IL and have been very happy with them.

If you have a dog or a cat that needs to be spayed or nuetered, this is a good place to go top get that done. The process are good and the staff I’d both friendly and helpful. Drop off your pet in. the morning, and puck up your animal i’m the late afternoon less some reproductive parts. They give good instruction if you listen. Be prepared to put you’re dog or cat in a congee if he or she is licking the stitches so they don’t open up.
