Went into Payless ShoeSource#1708 to get some flats. Found the flats in the color I needed for $ 16.99. Spotted some flip-flops marked $ 5. There were multiple colors so I grabbed the color that was marked $ 5 and another color that was marked $ 8. I wondered if they were all supposed to be $ 5 so before she rung me up I asked if they were all $ 5 or what. She told me none of them were $ 5 but since she forgot to change the sign she would let me get a pair for that price. Ok cool. So I proceeded to ask if I could get the color I really liked for $ 5 she advised me that I could get the silver ones for $ 5 since that was the color where she forgot to change the sign. I was already paying $ 16.99 for the flats. What freaking difference did it make which color you gave me for $ 5 as they were the same shoe??? I was not trying to be greedy and get multiple pairs I just wanted one pair at the $ 5 price. I did in fact buy the silver $ 5 flip-flops. I just favored one color over the other is all. As a result of associate #7625’s «hair-splitting» over which color to give me, I will not be shopping with Payless again. I hope losing a customer was worth it.
