Let’s face it, everyone dreads car shopping. I’ve bought volkswagens from four different dealerships in my lifetime. But vw of North Attleboro is the only one I will ever go back to.
Larry was great to work with, he didn’t try to sell us a car, instead he listened to what we wanted and helped us find the right car.
The next time I need a new car I will not hesitate to drive a little further from home to get the best experience possible.

We traveled to Massachusetts from Illinois to purchase the vehicle that the dealership had that matched the criteria we were looking for. With a limited supply, and the good fortune of finding that the dealer had a 2014 with the options, color, and interior we wanted, we took the chance and drove 2,000 miles round-​trip to make the purchase.
We couldn’t be happier with the service we received, and the extremely thorough walk through of the vehicle that Chris Wall provided. Norma was extremely professional, and went above and beyond to make sure that every part of the transaction was taken care of before we even left our house.
Sloan coordinated everything wonderfully, and when we found a problem with the air deflector that came with the car, he quickly responded and is presently taking care of resolving the issue.
All around, Volkswagen of North Attleboro is a first class dealership and a pleasure to do business with. If down the road we are unable to find the vehicle and the deal we’re looking for, we may not think twice before taking a road trip to New England to buy our next VW!

I had leased and eventually purchased a vehicle from here many moons ago. Everything was very smooth. I never had that car service at this dealer mainly because the prices were ridiculous.
I had countless problems with the car, but they were more than happy to take care of them under the warranty. Unfortunately, some problems were never actually fixed and remained that way well after the warranty expired.
When my car turned 8 years old, I decided to trade it in for a newer model. The salesman I dealt with was very easy to talk with as I had purchased from him the last time. He didn’t have the exact model I was looking for on hand to test drive, so I was able to try a similar model.
After doing research the next couple of days I decided to go with another vehicle. Nothing personal, it’s just that I preferred the other brand over VW.
Anyway, I had been contacted by the salesman to see if I was still interested, which was nice. However, when I explained to him that I went with another vehicle, he became very angry and assured me that I had bought «a piece of junk». Maybe so, but you could at least respect my choice and hope that I come back when the «piece of junk» fails.
Needless to say, I felt horrible after that experience and I would never recommend this dealership to any other human being after being treated so terribly.

We live in Pittsburgh, PA (about 560 miles away) and were looking for something very specific: a certified pre-​owned 2012 or later Passat TDI with manual transmission. VW of N Attleboro was one of only a few dealerships within 1000 miles that had such a vehicle available. Moreover, I was very impressed by the promptness and honesty of Jim Lucido (Business Development Director at VW of N Attleboro) when I spoke with him on the phone about the Passat. Jim and his team were willing to negotiate a fantastic price for us that was substantially better than any other dealer in a 1000-​mile radius. Jim was completely transparent during the negotiation and we were able to come to an agreement on the same day I initially called. I worked with Rohan Singh to firm up the details, placed a deposit by phone, and drove to Boston to get the new vehicle. Rohan was also forthright, kind, and clear throughout our discussions and worked with me to get outstanding financing through VW Credit.
Ultimately, it was tricky to get the vehicle registered in PA because MA does not issue temporary registrations and my wife and I hadn’t realized that our old vehicle to trade in was only in her name (we had planned to transfer the plates, but couldn’t because of this snag). This was completely my fault, but Rohan and Christopher Wall were extremely accommodating: they were able to get the vehicle titled and registered in PA and to renegotiate the terms of the deal so that I could come back to MA once the PA plates were in. Oftentimes, one gets the best view into the true character of people when a situation doesn’t go as planned, and despite my screwing up the PA plate transfer, Chris and Rohan were kind, helpful, and empathic throughout the process. We were truly collaborating to figure out the logistics so that we could seal the deal, and they bent over backwards to make this work for me.
Buying our Passat from VW of N Attleboro was an exceptionally good experience and completely worth the long drive from Pittsburgh! I also can’t complain about getting 51MPG on the way back! Everybody I worked with was remarkably honest, and the whole process was pleasant despite the self-​induced ordeal with PA registration. I would recommend this dealership very highly to anyone looking for a good deal on a VW from a dealership that clearly values the customer above the bottom line.

I somehow was «volunteered» to go car shopping with my younger niece Wendi. I’m in sales full-​time, and figured I could help shoulder the burden for my brother-​in-​law who wanted nothing to do with this.
First…I like cars!
I don’t own a VW, so I’ve never drank the VW Bug koolaid over the years. I see them as viable alternative to Honda/​Toyota for people who want a solid, reliable car, and don’t want to look like everybody else.
In this case, my niece REALLY wanted a Jetta.
We walked in and were greeted by a sales person named George. George was a younger sales guy, very little pressure, and honestly, bent over backwards trying to please Wendi. She had lots of things she «knew» she wanted, but struggled to explain.
We ended up not buying a new Jetta, and found an amazing deal on a 2012 with low mileage. So… thumbs up for George at this point.
Wendi had decent credit, so financing was easy. All in, we spent 4 hours at this dealership, counting test drives, back and forth pictures to friends and family, and the sales/​finance process.
If you find yourself in the market for a Volkswagen, these guys are great to work with.
Yes, they are in business to make money, but at no point did I feel like they were trying to do the stereo-​typical car dealer stuff. Good experience all around.

I was impressed with the level of attentiveness and the condition of the vehicles at VW North Attleboro. While we didn’t end up purchasing our car from here, it wasn’t because of the actual dealership — they just didn’t have the exact model we wanted.
The certified pre-​owned 2010 Tiguan we drove could have been brand new –it was spotless, without a ding, scratch, dent or drop of dirt on it. We were greeted warmly immediately upon arrival, and after a 20-​minute or so conversation with Raymond during which we were educated on the car and certification, we got to drive all over town to test it out.
They only had a few of the vehicles we were interested in, but other than that their inventory was really good. This is a family-​run business and I could tell that service was their top-​priority, as they were all incredibly friendly and helpful.
I do wish they had offered to search other dealerships for the VW model we wanted, like a few other dealerships did. I was a little uncomfortable towards the end of our visit when the salesman began to put a little pressure on us to buy and became a little surly when we expressed we wanted to look around a bit more. It was only our first time driving the Tiguan and both my husband and I agreed that if we were going to shell out serious dough, we wanted it to meet all of our criteria, one of which was leather seats. When we mentioned this, we were chucked a sample booklet of leather colors and told a local guy could re-​do the seats in the car we had just driven for «a couple thousand bucks.» That was it for me, and we moved on.

If there was a 0 star option on Unilocal,that’s what I’d be giving them, because that’s really what they earned!
I bought my 2009 Jetta TDI here brand new on the recommendation of my father, who’s old acquaintance owns the dealership. The actual purchase process was smooth, and the car was ready when expected and the price was fair.
My issues with the dealership began when I started having my car serviced, and when I began to have minor issues that needed to be dealt with. I purchased an extended (100,000 mile) warranty (platinum level, best you can buy), and every time I had to have my car serviced for some minor or major problem, It was a huge hassle.
The service department (mainly dealt with Craig and Rick) were nothing but a problem every step of the way. They don’t go out of their way to explain the car issues, will not offer or give you a loaner vehicle EVER, and always seem annoyed when they have to fix something through the extended warranty because it involves extra work on their end to get it covered.
On my last and most recent visit, I had numerous issues with my heating/​cooling system not functioning at all, as well as door latch sticking and gas door not functioning. Craig and Rick poorly explained the process to me, and didn’t mention that they may need to keep my car for an extended period of time (we’re talking almost a week) so that an adjustor could come out from the extended warranty company to OK the work. After having my car for a couple days, I needed it to get back to NYC where I was living at the time to get back to work for Monday. When I went to pick it up, I was visibly frustrated, which I expressed to Craig. He proceeded to basically throw my key at me, and tell me in colorful language that I could take my business elsewhere.
I did, and ended up having the work done (in 1 ½ days!) at a Kings VW dealership in Brooklyn where I was living in NYC with no issues whatsoever. They didn’t even need to have an adjustor come out from the extended warranty company, so it makes me wonder if VW N. Attleboro was even doing the right thing in the first place. The experience there was so pleasant it further cemented how terrible the experience is at VW N Attleboro.
I would urge you to stay away from this place. There are PLENTY of other VW dealerships that are local/​accessible (I’ve recently had a great experience with Colonial VW in Westborough) where the hassle factor will be zero. The people at VW N Attleboro, Craig in particular, are awful, and do not care about their customers or customers’ needs at all. Do yourself a favor and pass VW of N Attleboro right by.
