BEWAREOFFRESHCATCHTABLE. SNEAKYANDDECEIVING! I am very upset this is the second time I have purchased scallops at the Farmer’s Market in Attleboro, MA and they do not taste like anything and I know what scallops are suppose to taste like because I have purchased them right off the boat. They smell fresh but there is something wrong with them and they do not caramelize in the pan. They are probably loaded with water. I will never purchased again especially after getting screwed out of $ 30 total($ 15 a pop). A total waste. After my phone conversation, the manger stated that they are WETSCALLOPS and are meant to be in a chowder and not have any taste! Biggest Line of Bull**** I have heard! HA They are trying to screw the customer. Maybe their sign should read COMEANDBUYOURTASTELESSSCALLOPS! BEWAREDONOTBUY!

Terrible! I had a craving for lobster salad– usually a treat that I have once a year. The lobster was flavorless and drowning in mayonnaise, at $ 36.99 a pound! I would never go back in there– it smelled of old seafood and the employees were flat and unfriendly. Next time I will head up the street to the Seafood Peddler– super fresh fish and very friendly service.

I love this place! I found it after getting questionable seafood from other local markets. They always have a good variety of fresh fish(you can taste it in the product) and cook and serve foods, and the staff has always been friendly to me. They also have a pretty extensive butcher counter. I would recommend Fresh Catch anytime.

then the owners changed. After experiencing old, gross fish on more than one occasion — we stopped frequenting this place. We decided to give it a try tonight. 2 Crabcakes … oh I mean FILLER cakes. I’ve seen more crab in a crab rangoon from my Chinese place. The stuffed sole was disgusting. The filling was mushy, salty and hidden bits of mystery seafood. The fish itself was bland, dry and seemed old. Tossed it all out and ate a scrambled egg on toast.

We’ve started frequenting this store again and they seem to have gotten it together somewhat on the customer service side. Counter help is very friendly, cashiers are a bit better. Same great fish.

I’ve been a vegetarian for a few weeks now, but if I ever go back to eating meat/seafood, Fresh Catch would be one of my first stops. The scallops are fresh, big, and dynamite when breaded and fried — and the same goes for haddock, if you want to make your own fish and chips. The crab cakes and scallop cakes are winners, too. The only minuses are that(1) I wish they had a selection of crabmeat, and that(2) the employees aren’t what you’d call gregarious(just kind of neutral). But if you’re a cook-it-yourselfer, you’ll be pretty happy.

Prepared lobster meat tasted like chlorine. No expiration dates on cream-based fish soups. No itemized list of purchases on receipt. Because of this, I was overcharged and had to beg for my money back. Highly suspicious… unfriendly cashier who overcharged me… I wonder if she did this on purpose. Seems like a racket to me. Be wary of everything here.

I was trying to remember the name of this place for months, we had a similarly terrible experience a few months ago. My man found some ad that said, buy one get one lobsters-I can’t remember exactly what the discount was-but we brought it with us. We were seated by a snotty hostess(always a bad start), and waited for service for almost 20 minutes. A harried looking server told us no when we showed her the discount coupon, so we gulped down our beers and left. A bad time.

I went in there looking for Haddock and Trout. They had a great selection, and I was pleased with the prices. It was very fresh and we were very pleased on what we bought.

If you are craving seafood this is the place to go. They have all types. I usually stop by and pick up little necks, shrimp and haddock. One item that is great here is the stuffed clams, I usually buy the hot clams. They also make their own spicy tomato juice with little pieces of clams, Very tasty. No restaurant, buy and cook at home. Large selection of different size lobsters. If you don’t want to make a mess at home you can buy lobster meat. Call ahead, New business name is Fresh Catch.

My family has been getting are fish from here as long as i can remember. They always have a great selection. Prices aren’t anything better than the supermarket but the people definitely know what they are talking about there. To bad it shut down today 8(

Tasty Crustaceans and flavorful finned friends Pretty damned impressive selection. How many places have smelts for sale?(not counting bait shops). Big crabs and lobsters anxiously waiting to meet your stove. We got a clam boil for Christmas dinner. It was $ 125 and served about 8 people. They have all the fixins if you want to make your own which we will next time. I like Bockwurst in there besides the Saugies. Call ahead around the holidays. The line goes out the door.

I’ve passed this place dozens of times and finally decided to stop in. They have a good selection of fish, but the prices were the same as a supermarket. The flounder filet I bought had tons of bones. I’ve had better experience buying from the supermarket. I wasn’t too impressed, but I’d be willing to go back for a second try.
