The Wine ConneXtion is a unique wine store that sells only wine at everyday low prices. There is no case buying necessary and all low prices are offered at bottle one. We carry a over a 1000 different types of wine ranging from the everyday wine to the unique hard-​to-​find wines and if we don’t have it… we can order it for you. Our knowledgeable staff and great selection of wines makes for a great shopping experience to pair with any occasion you may have. Every Saturday there is a wine tasting from 1pm to 5pm where customers can taste an array of great wines.

History

Established in 2009.

The Wine ConneXtion was established in 2009 by Sam and Tina Messina after closing their family package store. This brother, sister team with over 40 years experience in the business decided to open a low-​priced, fine wine store where customers were not overwhelmed. There years of working in the business has created a friendly and informative environment where customers can make decisions on their own or get assistance from their knowledgeable staff. Their unique approach to selling fine wine at discount prices without giving up great customer service has given customers a great opportunity to experience excellent wines at exceptional prices.

Sammy and the staff at the Wine Connextion are knowledgeable and can provide great recommendations. Their prices are WAY BELOW the NH liquor stores so this is a great place to stock up. They have tastings every Saturday that are a great way to expand your wine knowledge.

Stopped in here after grabbing some lunch at Boston Chowda Co and was really impressed!
There was a fantastic selection of wine, a very knowledgeable staff, and a wine tasting… probably my fave part haha. But all jokes aside, the wine tasting a was a great way to try and pick some great wines I wouldn’t have other wise chosen. Okay, now here is the most important part, the prices are FANTASTIC they take pride in their prices be cheaper then NH and I’m pretty okay with that.
Definitely would recommend stopping buy if your in the neighborhood!

For wine lovers, I don’t quite think that there could be a better place to recommend. Anytime I ever have my car in MA, I will make special trips to the Wine Connextion, especially during the grand tastings. On an average visit, you can expect to be greeted by pleasant and extremely knowable staff, who truly aims to make the most out of your visit. Not only are the prices great, but they are truly unbeatable when it comes to finding great quality wine. If you come in looking for something very specific, but cannot decide between brands, any given staff member will be able to tell you the exact difference between each brand and what you can expect. You can truly count on leaving the store with a great quality wine for an amazing price.

I was preparing for my first «grown-​up» dinner party and realized I know nothing about good wines or food/​wine pairings. I stopped into Wine Connextion because of it’s reputation for being high quality while remaining inexpensive. Not only did I walk out with some seriously cheap bottles, but their staff was so helpful as well! They gave me basics on food/​drink pairings and gave me great recommendations.
A bonus to my whole experience is that I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon and got a free wine tasting, too! They said they have different tastings every Saturday, so I am definitely planning on going back to try some more!

My go-​to wine shop, even though I live in Newburyport (with at least four wine shops)! Sam is very generous with the weekly tastings and is genuinely a great guy. Don’t miss the grand tastings — these are UNREAL. Sam has a wide and diverse inventory — if you want a decent $ 8 wine, or have an urge for Caymus or Cakebread at great prices, this is your place. It’s just awesome, and to me it’s nice to not have beer in the store — more room for wine!

I stopped in with a great friend this past weekend to sample some Pinot Noir’s during there weekly Saturday wine tastings. I learned a lot about the wines and the regions where they were grown. Of the 7 samples I tried, I ended up buying 3 of them and also picked up a bottle of Chardonnay in the store for dinner later that evening.

This store was a great find on a recent excursion to run an errand in North Andover and if it was just slightly closer to where I live, I would probably forget Kappy’s ever existed. Not only was the store impeccably clean and organized, but the wines I typically buy for $ 8−12/bottle were consistently $ 1 – 2 cheaper here than at my more local purveyors. It was a quick stop in here, so there’s really not much more for me to comment on, but my excitement over discovering another place to stock up on cheap (er) wine prompted a five-​star review.

Wine only at this store. No beer or wine. The prices are great being about 30% less than New Hampshire State stores. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The owner is usually present. He has great knowledge of the wine business and will special order for you. The free tastings every Saturday are fun and informative. Wine Connextion and Rapid Liquors in Stoneham are the two best wine stores on theNorth Shore. Go nowhere else.

Sure they may have a «good» wine selection, it may be clean, and located in a good part of town, but these are not the only things that make a good business. Great customer service and taking an initiative to help all those that walk through your doors are what make a business stand out among the rest.
This was not the case for my first time experience @ wine conneXtion. The cashier (or maybe he was the owner) was extremely rude and his response to my question was condescending. I didn’t step past two feet into the store and left right away.
Granted, I may have been that ONE person who had ONE bad experience at a store, but again EVERYONE who steps through those doors becomes a potential client and you need to be painfully aware of that fact. I for one will never go to this store again because of my ONE bad experience. These are the kind of things that turn customers away from a business and I seriously hope that the staff at wine conneXtion get their act together. Otherwise, we are better off going the extra distance to a more professional and knowledgeable establishment to get our wines, spirits, etc.

The Wine ConneXtion has a great selection with good prices. The staff is very friendly and the weekend wine tastings are a nice touch. This is the store I have missed the most since leaving North Andover – I havne’t been able to find a wine store as good since I moved.

today was my first time here. went in with my husband. when we first walked in all we could smell was deli meat. quickly saw there was a wine tasting gathering there. everyone was happy, talking, laughing. and enjoying wine.
i wont take away a star for not having other liquor. as it is called the Wine Connextion… the prices were good. some bottles that we are familiar with were 3 – 5 $ cheaper than the stores we shop at in chelmsford. staff was friendly. and clean… it was a little «industrial» as far as decoration. or atmosphere. but then again. we are there to buy wine and take it home to enjoy. so i would not say to much about the décor.
looking forward to enjoying a few glasses tonight. always tasting better when you can save a few bucks. especially these days.

This is a nice place.
Great selection of wine & only wine. Don’t go looking for the cold beer on the back wall or the rum isle because this is just wine.
Good prices. However I don’t go there for the prices. You might do better out of state. I go for the selection. They have everything. You can spend under $ 10.00 or you can go much higher should your budget allow. Wine is set up nice, easy to browse & it’s all labeled & priced clearly. This is a big store and you might feel a bit overwhelmed. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. They have frequent wine tasting and a nice monthly newsletter.
The walls and overall space seems a bit cold and during the wine tasting it might be difficult to find someone to help you, but those are my only negatives. Plenty of parking & located right on Main St in N Andover. If you like wine it’s worth a look.

This store is in the back of the shopping center where CVS is located and is hard to see from the road but worth looking for. The selection of wines are varied and the prices are very good. Sam the «wine director» is great and extremely knowledgeable. When I needed to restock my wine cellar, I just asked Sam to make the selections based on my preferences. If you need a special wine, Sam will make you happy.

This is a great place. The wine is plentiful, diverse, and very well-​priced. Most bottles on display are accompanied by a nice description of the wine’s notes or whatever and what tastes good with that wine. Very helpful for novices like myself.
I tried 4 new wines based on their recommendations/​descriptions and I ended up really liking 3 out of 4. Not bad! The workers are very warm without being pushy. I only subtracted 1 star because they don’t sell beer or liquor. (But there is Main Street Liquors nearby if you need other boozes.) Highly recommended!

From the outside, Wine ConneXtion may just look like another stripmall liquor store, but one look at the prices will tell you that’s not true. Wines are hand selected by Sam Messina (owner) for both taste and value. All the wines are cheaper than your local store, and many are cheaper than driving up to the New Hampshire state liquor stores.
The best part of Wine ConneXtion is the labels on each wine. Sam takes a lot of time to provide as much information on the wines as possible — not just a description of the wine itself, but hints on whether to drink or hold on to the bottle and what foods to serve it with.
If you’re still not sure what to buy, just talk to Sam or the rest of the staff. If I could bring Sam home with me to talk me through every bottle of wine I drank, I’d be a wine encyclopedia.
