I’d like to thank The Gym for kicking my butt when I need it most. Like posting on Unilocal about reviews. Yeah, yeah, I know. I AMSLACKING on the reviews. But I’ll think of this as their Christmas present. I came to the gym via a friend of mine who I used to train with. When she left her old job, I wasn’t sticking around my old crappy excuse for a gym. I like to lift heavy things. If you like to lift heavy things, you need to be at the The Gym. I can’t attest to their tanning beds, because I don’t want to look like a leather handbag, but I don’t have to just guess that they are kept up and clean, because I know they are. That’s the sort of thing you want to have in a gym, confidence. So, here you go, guys. Your beds are A ++++++++++ And I have that here. Both in myself and in the actual place of business and the owners. They are both hard working and dedicated to this place. They are family oriented and take the time to get to know everyone in their own way. Because your success, is their success. When you walk in, you feel like Norm(well, I feel like Norm mentally, because it’s a gym. I don’t want to feel like Norm physically. COMEON). If you walk into this gym, you will never ever feel stupid, or like you can’t do anything. Everything there is treated as a learning experience, if you let it. Again, your success is their success. This is a place for both real lifters and people that don’t want the dog and pony show of a chain gym(because you know what’s under a pony’s tail, right?). A place where you walk in and you feel like everyone knows your name. Because they do. The kicker is that the Gym is further from my old gym, but I can’t even imagine going to any other place. This place is like my second home. And I will never go anywhere else. TL;DR: This place is old school and real. No fake b.s. Here. This is the place you want to go.

This is a real gym. This isn’t Retro Fitness with a bunch of «bro«trainers who wear 1 size too small shirts and walk around like they’re carrying invisible suitcases. This place doesn’t have 500 overhead lights and a bunch of customers who are too good to say hello. This is a REAL gym. People who genuinely have a kind word, will help anyone, are passionate about the family atmosphere and dedicated to improving the lives of the people in it. There is a heavy weight room, great for taking your lifting to the next level but a few yards left is every possible machine, a ton of cardio pieces, a 30 yard astroturf training area, crossfit area, everything that your ideal gym, no matter your goal, would have. Strongman equipment in the back they use on the weekends, tires, atlas stones, chains, the whole 9 yards. This place I call home. No matter where I live, I wouldn’t train elsewhere.
