Rare 5 star rating for me, but it so fits the criteria of tasty and price-vs-value, at least for tacos Lets get one thing off the table first. The menu is functionally all in Spanish, but the proprietors speak enough passable English when you order. If you’re that worried, bring your smartphone for translation. I like personable Mom and Pop places and while the place is spartan, it doesn’t feel sketchy at all. So far I have only ordered the tacos because they have so many 8 different meats/flavors that I can’t resist ordering a quartet each time of something different. I always order my tacos with cheese(queso), cillantro and onions, but its always overflowing with meat(I almost needed double-tortillas with todays batch). One time they threw in a very thin slice of avocado and now I am hooked, now I always ask for it as it adds so much flavor and richness. After my 4th time now, I need to order something else after.(Perhaps after I finish sampling the 2 I haven’t had yet). Taco flavors(my translation with Google’s help): Barbacoa — slow cooked and tender meat Carne Asada — thin marinated beef steak Carnitas — Slow cooked pork Chorizo — Spicy pork sausage Pollo — Chicken Cecina — Salted/dried meat Lengua — Beef tongue(little weird, but very soft, not chewy with a lot of flavor)

Great place, we stopped in for breakfast. Omelettes are as big as your face. Friendly staff and easy to navigate despite the language barrier. Get toast on the side, it’s quite yummy.

Nataly’s is a quaint Mexican restaurant and bakery on Main St in Norristown. Definitely a hole in the wall but the food is pretty good. A lot of local Mexicans frequent this place, so it’s a great place for an authentic experience. You can ask the waitress what specials they have(there is also a board with the daily specials). Grab a drink from the fridge or ask what agua fresca they have that day. Food highlights: — Tortas — cubano and milanesa are both good with their homemade bread — Breakfast items — excellent breakfast here — Enchiladas(I prefer them with Carnitas meat) They do offer Americanized versions of food here — so if you’re a gringo and want real Mexican food, make sure you order your tacos with cilantro/onions and your quesadilla with a corn tortilla. I think they take credit card($ 15 minimum) but bring cash to be safe.
