Business Owner

Chef Karen’s passion for cooking began at age 9 in her mother’s kitchen. Throughout school, she attended cooking classes and cooked for friends and family, earning a stellar reputation as an adventurous and successful home cook.

As an event marketing manager, she planned corporate meetings, events and parties, working closely with catering managers and chefs to develop innovative menus to please a variety of palates.

She then turned her passion for cooking into a career. Today, CHOP is a successful business with a loyal following of clients who love Chef Karen’s delicious meals.

CHOP Personal Chef Services s a proud member of the American Personal & Private Chefs Association (per​son​alchef​.com) and was co-​creator and charter subscriber to the Personal Chef Code of Ethics (per​son​alchefethics​.com). Chef Karen is also the president of Chicagoland Personal Chefs, Inc. (chicagop​er​son​alchefs​.com), a local association of personal chefs.
