Love Dr. Genie — She’s amazing! New location is very convenient, easy to find and lots of parking. Got a chair massage from Kathryn and omg best 15 minutes of my life!

This whole place is a sales pitch! It’s like walking into a retail store and having an annoying sells rep trying to get you to buy things you don’t want or need! I just wanted to come in for a simple adjustment and was told they would not do an adjustment unless I had a full analysis done, including x-​rays. First of all, I don’t want x-​rays, don’t want the radiation. Second of all, I don’t want the computerized analysis, as they have been proven to be an effective gimmick for selling chiropractic adjustments! This place makes you pay for these expensive tests when none of it is necessary! Don’t be fooled! I’ve been to many chiropractors and never, ever was required to have this crap done before a physical exam and adjustment! I called up the next chiropractor in the area and had no problems whatsoever getting in to have only a simple adjustment at a very affordable price.

Service and quality care above what is expected. They appreciate the clients and care and act in that matter. Always accommodating to schedule changes or issues. A model of customer service.

They moved from Des Moines to Normandy Park. Still same day appointments available. They don’t offer cellulite biodermology anymore but they do have a Thai massage therapist. They also have a children’s playroom and their space is huge. They are still affiliated with a cross fit studio. They have so much to offer in nutritional guidance and mental health. This is still my number one Chiro place!!!

Pierview, Dr. Genie and team are outstanding. Been coming for about a year. I should probably mention, I can’t stand to be touched. I absolutely hate it when someone come up behind me to massage my neck or pats me on the back. Just can’t stand it. Well I sprained my back lifting my large dog on the scale to weigh him (83lbs) and after weeks of ibuprofen with little relief I found Pier View and Dr. Genie. She made me feel completely comfortable and after two adjustments I was finally able to put my own pants on in the morning. My wife thanks you Dr. Markwell!!!

Here is the best analogy I can give on my experience with Pier View:
You finally decide that you need to buy a car. You go into a dealership. The dealership is is a total state of chaos, people running everywhere, kids screaming and the sales person, whom you’ve made an appointment with is 30 minutes late. You are acknowledged, but no one apologizes for being tardy and the chaos is normal.
Then the sales person, who is über friendly, so friendly you wonder what is going on, but you proceed anyway… they ask a bazillion questions… which is good… they want to know what kind of car is best for you. They put you through a series of driving tests and ask you to return for another appointment after they can read all the reports and give you their recommendation on the best car for you.
You come back. The sales person is late again, no apologizes, again. You get to watch a driving video and learn that sales person has had to go through extensive training to be able to see you this car. You proceed to go over their assessment of what they think is best. Then, here it is… here’s the pitch… you get three options. 1) A POS Pinto that has a flat tire, 2) a tiny compact car or 3) a very large luxury sedan. But, they don’t tell you prices. The sales person proceeds to ask you what is important to you… the safety of you and your family or just being able to get from point a to point b? OOh! Ooh! I KNOW… just frickin’ get from point A to point B regardless of any carnage!!!
Oh, then the prices. You can have #3, but you really should make payments and if you make payments, we get to auto debit your account. Oh, and if you pay all up-​front for the really nice car, you get a little discount (in other words, you are punished for taking a Pinto). But, wait, there’s more! You also get a 1-​hour new driver orientation with other new drivers and driving classes… oh, not optional.

I’ve been going to Pier View for about 6 years, and always have had nothing but the best experience!
Everyone there is super friendly and they make sure that you are feeling nothing but 100%.
They are all very passionate about chiropractic and nutrition and they know what they are talking about!
I high recommend seeing them!

Dr. Genie exudes joy and good health. I like her spirit and care. She’s really helped me throughout the years.
I really enjoy everyone at Pier View, including Gracie, the world’s cutest tiny dog, who comes to visit sometimes.

I have been going to pier view for 6 months now and I really appreciate everything they do. The staff is fun and always in a great mood. Dr Genie is a very wonderful woman who really cares about her patients. She will be a shoulder to cry on and a friend to laugh with. If you just want to stay there for a couple minutes longer after your adjusted she doesn’t rush you and let’s you relax. She is very intellectual too! Any questions you ask her she can respond without a stutter. The massage therapist Mary is awesome too! Definitely check this office out you will not be disappointed.

I started going to Pierview around 2007, Dr. Genie Markwell was able to fix the damage my neck received from a few rear end auto accidents. I now get a monthly adjustments, and message therapy as a régime to keep my back and neck healthy since I have a job that requires physical work. Over the years I have found the staff to be very positive, helpful and fun. I highly reccomend this place to everyone.

I wanted to update my review for this fantastic office and staff. We have been going to Pier View for several years now and every visit is still excellent. We recently had a problem with one our Boston Terriers that involved some neurological issues. The symptoms were similar to a stroke that were leaving her with a vertigo issues. Dr Genie and Dr Allison both wanted to help her out. This is a rescue dog and both very kind doctors treated our dog with chiropractic manipulations to relive the symptoms. It was very visible with every treatment that she was improving. She is nearly 100% back to normal with just a couple of lingering affects.
We cannot thank Dr Genie and Dr Allison enough for the treatments they performed out of the kindness of their hearts.

I felt comfortable the moment I stepped inside. It is warm and cozy, and I have never felt anything but welcome there. The treatments have helped more than I can say, and I will continue going here for as long as it takes. In the initial consultation I was told that if this approach didn’t work for me, there were plenty of other businesses around that could help as well, but I never gave it a second thought. Dr Genie is strong but gentle, and Hannah has magic in her fingers (and her elbows!) Highly recommended :)
