With new items in almost every day, our inventory is the best around. We have a huge beer (and craft beer) collection, great wines from value to high end, cordials, liquor, and mixers. History

Established in 1979.

Kathy Hallren, with the support of Michael York and many loyal employees continues the family business started when her father, Joe Lies, bought an existing liquor store at a nearby location in 1979. He also owned doughnut shop in Alameda Square. Later he sold the doughnut shop to devote his attention to the liquor store. He doubled the size of the original store in 1986.

Eventually the current location became available and the store moved in 2001. Joe worked in the store until May of 2011, when illness overtook him. Michael started working at Joe’s more than 25 years ago, and is still there making sure all runs smoothly. Afternoons and evenings Travis, has rejoined the staff to answer your wine, beer and liquor questions. Joe is no longer with us, but we hope his kind, generous, cheerful spirit lives on at the store.

Business Owner

Kathy is the only daughter of Joe, and has been involved with the business for the past several years. She moved from Woodward last year to be at the store daily, (but not on football game days), a trait she inherited from her father. Kathy graduated from Norman High School, and University of Oklahoma College of Law, in between she went to college in Massachusetts, but fled back to warmer weather in Oklahoma.
