History

Established in 2008.

Elements was founded in 2006 by Michelle Mehrib, a certified Massage therapist. She teamed with Fitness Together Corporation, after experiencing huge success with her own 3 massage studio locations in Aurora Colorado. Today, there are 70 locations nationwide and counting. In 2009 Elements was named one of Forbes 500 best Franchise opportunities.

Meet the Manager

Elizabeth Y.

Manager

Elizabeth Young has been the general Manager for the Elements Therapeutic Massge Studio in Norman Since October of 2009. Originally from Southern California, Elizabeth moved to Texas in 2004 to pursue her Animal Science Degree at Texas A&M. After college, Elizabeth worked as a vet tech at an equine sports medicine hospital that specialized in chiropractics. Recognizing the need for an on-​site massage therapist, Elizabeth returned to school and got licensed in Equine Sports Massage.

The importance of massage is the same for people as it is for horses. Elizabeth took that knowledge and re-​directed it to the retail massage business and has played a major role in expanding production for the Elements Norman location.

Very nice experience. I was able to get an appointment and get in within a day. Nicole, my massage therapist took a lot of time they’re fine where I needed work and to understand The pressure that was acceptable for me. Checked with me several times during my session. So many places don’t do this.

The first and last time I had a massage was in the gritty, rough-​around-​the-​edges Patpong District of Bangkok. No, it wasn’t one of «those» massages. But it was a nice (and fully clothed) Thai massage a kathoey gave me while I waited for my «preoccupied» friend. And that’s a story for some other place.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m pretty high-​strung and tense, and often times when I’m actually conscious of what I’m doing I realize my entire body is tightening up. So, I’ve noticed more aches and pains, especially after a day of work, and I don’t have anyone to help me with tension.
I gave Elements a try, and I must say I’m pleased. The waiting room is small, but relaxing. When your appointment begins, they lead you down a dark hallway (which actually was reminiscent of where my friend went in Patpong) and then leave you to undress and cover up with the sheet on the bed. The guy who massaged my back had magic hands, and became Bwama: the Great White Knot Hunter. He found all these tense knots on me and got them out. I was actually thinking that I was going to doze off because it was so relaxing.
After paying, I decided to set up another appointment, because I could get used to this. It is just a massage place, so you don’t have to pay for all the extras you may not want if you were to go to a spa. Their office can be a little tricky to find, because Google Maps placed it on a gas station, and it’s tucked in a shopping center with lots of other places. I will say that calling or walking in is the best way to set up an appointment, because there may be a delay if you try to set it up online.

Do NOT spend your money on this place. The people who run it are only interested in making a buck. They do not understand how business is run, nor do they understand about customer satisfaction.
There are two college students managing the facility and the owner (as it appears to me) has little contact with anyone at the facility.
The atmosphere there is so tense, you can feel it when you walk in.
It is very unfortunate. I was a member for over one year and have seen the business slowly go downhill.
