Loved the location, the house, and the gardens. Wasn’t sure about how to work the AC or if there was AC in our room, so the nights were a little warm. Some of the furniture in our room was older and a little shaky, which didn’t go along with the price we paid. That said, the price was right for location, the overall setting, and a generally lovely place to stay with family members. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in Norman for a family visit. We stayed the weekend at Cutting Garden. Positive: Connie, the owner, is a wonderful hostess! She is a retired school teacher and she is very charming. She has fresh baked brownies ready when you arrive. She prepares a delicious breakfast and hot coffee and orange juice each morning. The Cutting Garden is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood just blocks from Oklahoma University – very convenient. Our downstairs room and bathroom were very clean. There is wireless internet connectivity for your electronic devices. The backyard is charming. We enjoyed a Sunday walk, watching the squirrels and Robins and little songbirds. Negative: Everything is worn out and badly in need of refurbishing. The house itself is unremarkable and is «stuck in the 70s». The backyard deck, prominitely featured on the web site, does not exist anymore. The carpets are stained and the furniture is worn out. There was«junk» piled up in our closet so we could not put our luggage in the closet. Our bed was the least comfortable bed of any bed and breakfast we have stayed at. Staying at the Cutting Garden was a quiet and relaxing weekend. I loved the breakfast and visiting with Connie. However, the disrepair of the house and furnishings was disappointing.

How nice it is to have a breakfast of your choice, fresh spring flowers from the gardens, and friendly conversation! The gardens are blooming and grow where an original dairy farm stood! Close to campus and conference center. Can’t get any grander than that!
