Thomas & Tommy’s Extended Stay

My husband and I spent a night here while visiting our son at ISU. On pulling into the parking lot the first impression is «what a dump.» The exterior of the buidling is in need of some serious maintenance. After traversing a short flight of stairs we found our place. The interior of the buidling was much better than the exterior. Our place was a two bedroom with a living area and small kitchen. The bedroom was the high point of the living area with a spacious bed and decorations that made you feel like you were at home. The kitchen on the other hand was a different story. We found our feet sticking to the floor and the room was in need of some serious cleaning. The living area, also small, included a large screen television, but when my husband tried to turn on the football game we were dimayed to find the place had no cable television. In summary stay here if nothing else is available.

Stop here every time I come through Normal. The owners go out if there way to make you feel welcome. All of the furniture is super comfortable and I have no problem getting a good nights rest. The ambiance leaves something to be desired but would recommend the place to anyone staying in town.
