We sell locally made original fine art, trendy clothing, artisan jewelry, accessories and unique gift items. We also offer an art consulting service for both residential and commercial clients.

History

Established in 2011.

Two kindred spirits, who quickly became the best of friends, met one another about six years ago. Both were fine artists and both shared a similar dream since their youth of owning their own eclectic boutique boasting of all their favorite things. Thanks to the vision and commitment of their husbands, families, friends and local city government and other helpful community organizations, this dream became a reality. Just over one year ago, The Pod celebrated it’s grand opening during the annual Sugar Creek Arts Festival in the heart of what is now fondly known as Uptown Normal.

Business Owner

Natalie graduated from Illinois State University in 1992 with a BA in Fine Art and a Business Administration minor. She has worked previously for Lee Enterprises serving in the marketing and special events division of The Southern Illinoisan, as well as having been a free-​lance tie designer for Wembley Neckwear and operating her own photography and art business known as Living Stone Art.
