The Normal Theater is your home for classic cinema, from pop culture to the golden age of Hollywood & all points in between.
History
Established in 1937.
Originally opened in 1937, the Normal Theater has a long history of bringing a premier cinema experience to the area. The theater was the first designed for movies with sound in the Bloomington-Normal area, and its Art Deco /Art Moderne design adds an air of sophistication to its small-town charm.
In 1994 the theater was restored & re-opened by the Town of Normal, and is currently operated as part of the Parks and Recreation Department.
