History
Established in 1981.
Mid-State Transmission & Auto Repair has been the «go-to transmission shop» for Twin City residents. And, if you know Bloomington-Normal native Jerry Adams you understand why. Jerry has grown his business by offering old-fashioned service with a certified team of highly-skilled individuals. It’s a mix that means accurate evaluations, honest answers, and repairs done efficiently and effectively. This method has paid off decade after decade, with high satisfaction rates and referrals that continue to come on a daily basis.
In the early days, Mid-State focused almost exclusively on transmissions, but customers wanted more. They trusted Jerry and his team, appreciated the service, and wanted automotive help beyond transmission work. It just made sense. So, we grew and now welcome all auto repairs from minor to complex. And, we even make it easy with online e-repair service.
