History

Established in 1984.

The Virginia Massage Company was formed by me, Joe Arida, in 1984. I taught massage therapy for ten years with The Virginia Institute of Massage Therapy while simultaneously keeping up my personal practice.

Business Owner

Became a professional massage therapist in 1983 after attending The Ohio College of Massotherapy. I passed the State Medical Boards and became licensed in the State of Ohio. I then moved back to Virgina and am certified by the Virginia Board of Nursing I specialized in Sports massage and worked with the Women’s Olympic Field Hockey Team from 1989 to 1992. My other clients included Olympic runners from various countries. In addition to continuing sports massage I, now, specialize in Stress reduction and various forms of wellness massage.
