The Barbershop

The shop is inside MacArthur mall. My family has been going here for years. They have so many repeat customers that should say a lot about a place. George is one of the best barbers and they are all so friendly. You want be disappointed. I would suggest stopping in if in the area and trying them out.

Went in with my 4 year old son on Sunday and we both needed a haircut. My son had the black female hair dresser which did an amazing cut! He loved it. I had a older gentleman that completely messed my hair up. I explained what I wanted to the detail and even provided a few pictures of me last haircut. The gentleman said it was the best haircut that I got this year… Yeah. Don’t waste your time with this place unless you get lucky enough to get a hairdresser that knows what they are doing.
Very disappointed.

Paid $ 47 for a low taper and straight razor shave also in that $ 47 was a small tub of «RPM» which is said to be much better than the pomade I asked so I figured why not? Well, that claim was BS so I’ll be sticking to what I know. The straight razor shave was suppose to outline my jaw line and when all was said an done it was horribly crooked and unfinished in areas.
Floyd’s 99 barbershop find one near you and you won’t be disappointed.

These guys do an alright haircut, but stopped going because I found a barber shop much closer that was cheaper (cheaper in price, didn’t have to pay for mall parking, and closer) and just as good, but never got a terrible haircut. Mike was my favorite guy, try and get him.

This is a Barbershop in a mall, which is new to this Yankee, but very convenient. The service is fast, but there are some issues with it. My hair was cut while facing away from the mirror. I spent 10 minutes wondering if I was going to have a messed up hair cut. They also use the flowbee. That’s the sheers with the vacuum attached from the 90s. I feel like it’s lazy and unprofessional. All you hear is the rush of air in you ear being sucked out. Highly suggest that they get rid of this.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. Barbers don’t listen to what you ask for (started to cut the top even though I asked him not to. I’ve never written a Unilocal comment, but this had to be said. These guys are terrible.

I was staying near the MacArthur Mall and needed a hair cut badly. I found this place inside the mall and it is a throw back to the old barbershops that our dad’s always went to and us boys first got our cuts. I am now in my 30’s and found it a refreshing change chillin here with Neal Mattera, rather than going to some mass owned MetroSexual joint to get my hair cut. He did a great job on my cut (I like my cut short and tight — just like my women — ha). Several long timers came in and waited for there specific barber to finish up for their cuts.
The coolest part (other than the smell of Clubman cologne and powder) was that they use vacuums while they cut so you get no cut hairs on your shirt or face/​skin which makes it so nice when you leave and have other things to do or people to meet.
GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE. TIP WELL. These are American men through and through. SUPPORT YOU LOCAL BARBERS PEOPLE!
I will go back next time I am there!
