T & T Seafood Market

I’m not going to dwell a lot on this review, I will just say that a couple of months ago I went to T & T on the recommendation of a friend for fried crabs. It was a truly horrible experience for my wife and me. The small take-​out restaurant was crowded with people lined up to place orders and others milling around waiting for their orders. I can’t figure out how they had so many customers because the place was dirty and smelly and the «fresh seafood» cases contained mostly ice with just a few disgusting looking fish filets. I ordered a couple of pairs of jumbo fried crabs but the young teenager behind the counter said they were sold out so we could only get the regular size. After placing our order we moved out of line to wait.
During our twenty minute wait for our crabs we were treated to a couple of loud obnoxious women constantly complaining about all their miseries and gossiping about their friends. We couldn’t get out of that place fast enough.
The crabs were okay but not anything special. The breading was nice and thick but not all that tasty, just very average and bland. There are certainly better fried crabs to be had at other places and the «fresh» seafood displayed didn’t look good so I will not be returning to T & T.

Horrible service. I went to this place because it tastes right and its close by. So last week my tilapia platter and two EXTRA tilapias was $ 8.47. Today i went in and their out of middle school son is taking orders i ordered a platter and two EXTRA tilapias he asked me what sides i wanted i said fries. Then we went over again i wanted a platter and two extra pieces of tilapia… English was clear as day after 3 or 4 times i repeated it. And he charged me $ 9.87 whatever its friday you want to add some extra ok. So knowing they take forever i walked to seven eleven and came back to 4 pieces of fish.
So please someone explain to me why i gave my order multiple times and got charged differently today and walked out with 4 expensive pieces of not completely fried tilapia.
Pay some more and go somewhere else. These people suck and putting some underage kid to not understand orders is wrong.
They should be shut down.

Do not go here for fresh fish. There was literally canned fish in the cooler where fresh fish should have been (will post picture.) The tilapia and something else that was in the cooler was shriveled. If you want fried seafood, this place might be ok. But for the love, go to Welton’s if you want fresh fish. Harris Teeter or Farm Fresh would also be preferable to this place.
