This is a place for prepackaged, gas station quality salads, pizza, and sandwiches. On a recent trip for a quick lunch, it took about 20 minutes for us to proceed to the cashier with a container of soup and a premade salad out of the fridge. It wasn’t that it was busy, it was that when we finally made it the cashier spent quite a while joking with the guy next to him and barely made eye contact with us. Bad food and slow service make it a miss for me.

The chain was one of my favorite places to go in college. Simple sandwiches, fresh and filling… and the price was right. I haven’t been to one in 20 years and I wasn’t disappointed. During the snowstorm on 29 January 2014 only Schlotsky and the Shula Grill at the Marriott were open on 30 Jan. The place was packed with hotel stuck travelers, but they had no problem putting out the same great sandwiches. I love the roast beef and cheese with a deal pickle of course on their homemade sourdough. I usually buy two — one for a late night snack. $ 15. for two sandwiches is a great deal. Will I return: Absolutely

We walked to this location after doing a local museum. There is some construction at the intersection happening right now. However, inside it’s cozy. It’s a walk up order place with options to grab as well. Our food was delivered to the table. We just had to get our own drinks and soup. All our meals were yummy. It was busy but not overcrowded. In warmer weather they have a lot of outdoor seating. We had a good meal and if I am ever downtown nearby would return.
