This place is a hidden gem. Italian inspired dishes and full bar. Love the chocolate martini and garlic and peppers appetizer. It’s a smaller place and very cozy. Highly recommend

Great pizza and bread! My wife’s only complaint is that the pizza had too much sauce!

Eh, is all I can say… Is «Eh» small place and parking is a bitch! Booths had no cushion which is annoying I mean there are only 5 booths in the whole place. I ordered the Chicken parmesan. It was overcooked and extremely salty for some reason. My other half ordered the Lasagna which was great by the ways. Also had a side of pasta with my meal and it was good too. Service was good and the place was pretty pricey. It was 75 bucks for us two with a appetizer. Would rate a solid 5 out of 10 and would I be back. Probably not. Which sucks cause I’m all about supporting local businesses as we love down the street from this place.

We had the Steak special and my husband said this was the best steak he has ever had! It came with Brussel sprouts and Italian potatoes. The portions where huge and the service excellent! Will go back to try some of the other things on the menu

I’m from New York and spent a little over a year in Naples Italy. So my judgements on Italian restaurants are a little. Lucky for this place there is not a lot of choices in the area, Franco’s is down the road which is a little bit better. We visited this establishment twice. The first time I got sick from the lamb shank. So a few years later we gave it another chance. The bread was cheap and the rest of the food was overloaded with grease. The desert tasted a bit stale and the cappuccino… Was like an American latte… Makes the drive to la bella italia in vb worth it.

Used to be good. Staff was unfriendly and unaccommodating at best. Had been going there for years. Will not spend another dime there.

This place never disappoints. The food is fantastic, has a great vibe, and the staff is friendly. A must see in Norfolk.

Italian-American cooking at its best. Razzo has a cozy atmosphere where you can have an awesome time with friends and the OV locals. I highly recommend the fennel appetizer.

I mostly came here to look up an old friend; what I got was the best meal I’ve had in memory accompanied by some very professional service. When I arrived there was a line, so I added my name to the list and ordered a beer whilst I waited for my party to arrive. In that time I got to appreciate the diversity of Razzos clientele and the obvious hard work of the staff. I didn’t see anyone that didn’t seem to be enjoying themselves. The table turnover was efficient without being rushed and everyone looked as if they had been working as a team for a while. Once we were seated, the lovely lady that was running the bar apologized for the wait and proceeded to show us the best service I’ve had in a restaurant in years. She’s clearly good at her job and cares about how she does it. The food was amazing. I had the bacon wrapped tuna with spinach and enjoyed every bite. The mocha cake was lovely too and just right to share. So whilst I didn’t get to see my old classmate(hi Aimee) I did get the best of reasons to come back again. The wait was worth it!

What is there to say about this place that hasn’t been said better? Yes, it’s in Ocean View. Yes, it’s small. Yes, it’s the best you’re going to find in Hampton Roads. Panache, service, price. Know why the menu doesn’t change? Because it doesn’t have to. Know why no one is talking about this place? Because the locals couldn’t care less about being overlooked by those swearing unwarranted and ridiculous fidelity to other joints swearing they can do better. They can’t. And they don’t. But don’t worry about it… this place is in Ocean View. And god forbid anyone EVER eat in that Norfolk neighborhood.

Visited Razzo last night for my husband bday. We order the Caprese Salad, which was delicious! My husband order some sausage appetizer, and if he would’ve order a side of noodles it could’ve been a complete meal. I got the stuff eggplant, I didn’t think it was that great, but that’s just my personal taste. My only complain was: I hate to drink wine in regular glasses, not sure why, but it’s just not the same I wish they had wine glasses, for Wine. But again that’s just me lol Overall the food was yummy! And the prices where decent. We had a good dinner, our waitress Kayley was very attentive, and nice.

Wow! Have to be honest I was blown away by the overall dining experience in this little quaint restaurant in old Ocean View. Went on a Monday night about 6pm and got seated immediately. Started our food experience with their amazing bread and a great bottle of Simi Merlot. The ambiance was very nice in the wooden booth(seat cushions would have been even more awesome but not a big dealio). Dimly lit but just enough for a romantic atmosphere. Our roasted garlic appetizer was truly A-Maz-Ing! A flavorful burst of ingredients were memorable with the garlic cooked to perfection coupled with the sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese was OMG incredible. I could have easily made a meal off of just the killer bread and garlic appetizer but couldn’t stop there so ordered our entrée. My girlfriend got the stuffed eggplant which she raved over and the portion was HUGE and full of spinach and cheeses and looked awesome. I got the meat lasagna which was outstanding and spiced very well and lean meat and the sauce tasted like a true home made Italian concoction made in the back by a little old Italian Grandmama. I really love when a restaurant has amazing food and actually gives a nice portion that we both had enough to take home and enjoy another night. I don’t normally give 5 stars which is tough to garner in my book but Razzo hit a home run for us last night. We will definitely be back and kudos to the Chef and staff at Razzo’s for an awesome meal out on the town in good olé Norfolk.

This is a locals spot, done very well. I do think they close a little early and parking isn’t the best. Sausage and pepper appetizer was very good, as was the meat lasagna. My husband ordered the shrimp Alfredo and it was very bland, nothing spectacular. I would go again to give them another shot.

The food was absolutely a five star experience! The appetizer, wine and all the pastas were exceptional! If the service was better it would truly be a 5 star experience especially when compared to its peers in the area. The waitresses were so cute, meek and honest. The food was just out of sequence and took too long. The bread was great too! I will be back when I’m in the area for sure

We went on a Friday night so we assumed that it would be busy. It was, but we were seated immediately. Our server was young and I’m assuming new because after we placed our order we overheard two other servers give the daily specials and wine recommendations to other customers. Unfortunately for me the special sounded delicious. The kitchen was backed up so it took time for our entrees to arrive. My husband was full from the yummy bread and had to box his veal. My penne alla vodka was very good. All the servers work hard, they were constantly moving. The atmosphere is very authentic Italian, I love that. We were slightly disappointed but will try again on a weekday.

Dinner on a weeknight is the way to go– no wait! But don’t come with more than 4 people if you all want to sit together. Service was very good, attentive but not overbearing. Razzo is solidly southern Italian: creamy, saucy, heavy. I strongly prefer Northern Italian, so I’ll not be returning, but my husband enjoyed his White Lasagna very much. My order of Stuffed Eggplant was frankly not at all what I expected. It was deep fried something covered in red sauce. The red sauce was thick, garlicky, and tasted very fresh, but the eggplant was so breaded and fried I literally could not see or taste any eggplant… only batter. Nor could I taste or find any promised artichoke hearts, and the mozzarella & ricotta was barely visible but didn’t add any taste or depth to the entrée. Baked fennel app was RICH, drenched in a liquidy fondue of cream & butter, and served with toasted buttered bread. Wine list was unimpressive but adequate, and beer options worse. No draft beer, and no local beer offered :( Too full to try dessert. Huge portions!

Razzo is a quaint Italian restaurant with a very good menu for both a vegetarian and meat lover. I would highly recommend coming here! The food is amazing, the wine list diverse and delicious, and a few choice delicious desserts. We went off the other Unilocal reviews to find this place and I’m so glad we did. Great place to eat and highly recommend!

This place is the best! The food was amazing and the service outstanding, not because the wait staff was all gorge, but they had a system i never seen before, where they all worked together to clear the table, deliver the food, handle the refills, they were very efficient. This is my new favorite Italian place

Service was excellent, friendly workers, clean bathroom. You can tell this isn’t a top notch five star restaurant but it was a great experience and the food was awesome. A plus? There’s parking out back and apparently an older lady with a walker came with her family. Some of the workers opened up the back door so the lady with the walker didnt have to walk all the way around to the front. I thought that was really sweet of them.
