This is our favorite takeout Chinese place. I love their crab Rangoon, roast pork lo mein, general tso’s chicken, bourbon chicken, beef with string beans, and fried rice. We’ve also ordered their boneless spare ribs, sesame chicken, and orange chicken which are all tasty as well. We always order from here when we are craving Chinese good.

We’ve ordered from this place several times, always for delivery. They’re our usual Friday night choice for dinner. We called and all of a sudden they refused to deliver to us saying we were too far. We are only 3 miles away. We even offered to pay extra for delivery but they refused. We usually speak to a gentleman who has no issue delivering to us but this time we spoke to a very rude woman, she refused to listen to us explaining we’ve ordered from them numerous times. No customer service, extremely rude treatment. Will NEVER order from again.

I’m reviewing Golden City III as a take out or delivery restaurant, though they do have a few tables. I find them to be the best restaurant of their type I have sampled in this area. Delivery is prompt and the food is generally quite good. I would not recommend the curry, but everything else has been quite good.

Honest, quick, and affordable. I’ve eaten at all the Norfolk Chinese restaurants and this is one of my favorites. The food is consistent, and never drowned in sauce. Each dish is distinctive from the next, and I feel like the addition of other local, cultural foods(i.e Lumpia and Pancit) sets them apart. Golden City III has a customer for life(or as long as I live in the Wards Corner area).

Wow actually impressed by this place. 1st time ordering from Here and the food reminds me of Chinese from NY. Great size of serving and it’s really good!!! Will definitely go back when ever we come back.

After seeing the high reviews I expected this place to be exceptional. I frequent Chinese take out a lot and was not overly impressed. The inside was very clean and the owners were nice I just expected better food. I ordered the general tso lunch special and the portions were generous but it wasn’t spicy at all and was given no broccoli. Overall it was an OK place but I’ve found better in the Norfolk area.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and just ordered delivery from here for the first time and its amazing!!! My boyfriend, who doesn’t really care for Chinese, had to get seconds because it was that delicious! The food is really fresh, not greasy, and come in really convenient containers. The portions are generous, and the delivery was fast. This is our new Chinese favorite!

One of the best Chinese take outs around. The owners are very friendly. The place is clean. Prices very reasonable. You can eat there but seating is very limited. The food is very good. I have eaten there for years and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend.

Our favorite, and we’ve tried as many of the Chinese delivery places as we could find in the area. Great, fast delivery(the guy is so nice, the woman who often answers the phone often sounds abrupt and curt though). My husband loves the General Tso’s and their bone-in BBQ ribs. I’m a big fan of the vegetable pancit or the $ 4.25 chicken«healthy dish» with lo mein — the chicken is so tender, the veggies are great, and it’s enough for 2 or 3 meals!
