This place is my #1 choice for Vietnamese food. I’m here almost every week. Their menu goes past what a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants have so there’s lots of different choices. I usually get banh canh cua with the bread… Sooo yummy! They also have the best avocado smoothies! They actually make them with real avocado.

We came to this strip mall wanting to go to nam phuong. But we saw this and my husband decided we give a new place a try. This shop didn’t look very inviting from the outside. But once inside, we were greeted with a big smile. We were seated very quickly and given menus. Because the weather’s been crazy hot, we went in deciding we want the dry, cool noodle(bun). The food came fast. The noodles springy, not over-cooked. I like the bbq pork & shrimp one I ordered. Will come back again.

Such a cozy little place. Went here with some friends for lunch before heading out for the day yesterday. The canh bun and banh canh cua were the recommended dishes according to my friends. The banh canh was pretty tasty. I liked how the noodles were cut so it was much shorter. Oftentimes the long length is annoying. I do feel like the noodles were overcooked since it was more on the well done side versus the more firm texture. But then again, I haven’t had this dish in years so don’t quote me on how it is supposed to be cooked. The banh canh overall was tasty, hot, and flavorful. I def liked the creamy texture and would say this dish’s rep is on par. Service was pretty attentive for this small and cozy restaurant. I suppose most folks to-go their food. There was a good crowd that dined in at the restaurant when we were there around 11:30AM. As groups left, more were replaced in lieu of them. I would say parking was plentiful, but as it is in the complex with Hong Kong Market, parking will be crowded. And if you’re looking at HK Market then Yany Express will be on the left hand side.

Located in Hong Kong supermarket shopping area, right next to VN Tofu, this is a decent place to grab a quick bite if you are craving Vietnamese street food. This isn’t your mom’s goodness & quality homemade meals, but it will fulfill your fast food cravings. I’m usually here for the Canh Bun(thick rice noodle with meat, tofu & vegetables). Especially during summer because rau muong(water spinach) is in season. Rau muong is simply the cream of the crop of all Vietnamese vegetables. It’s a poor man’s crop but this is a poor man’s soul food. Here’s my ode to rau muong: sautéed rau muong with garlic, sesame seeds and shrimps, boiled rau muon to dip in soy and lime sauce, rau muong soup, rau muong goi(salad) with shaken beef, bun hen with thin strips of rau muong, you name it, I love it. I dare you not to like it if you get to try all the dishes that has rau muong in it. Now that you know how I feel about rau muong… When I was first introduce to a bun that has rau muong in it, of course I was quick to jump on board. I really like this dish because it combines my love of thick rice noodle with… wait for it, rau muong! However, it can be a little too salty sometimes. Depending on the day and the broth. When rau muong is not in season, they use bok choy. I will go as far to say I enjoy this dish even when it’s only available with bok choy. Also, If you are brand new to Vietnamese food, this dish might take some getting used to(because it’s seafood/fish flavored broth). It’s like the first time you try fish sauce, the after taste might bother you. So this might happen with this particular dish if your palate isn’t used to it. Give it a try. If at first you don’t like it, try again. I’m always a big believer of «try it twice or trice» before you knock it. :) If I’m not here for the bun canh, then I usually order the bun cha ca(fish cake noodle).

Do not go here if you are a vegetarian. Even if your are promised vegetarian you will not get it. Two stars for the sweet little lady at the cash register.

I only tried one noodle soup that has a taste like my favorite bun rieu(Vietnamese noodle soup with crab paste chunks and tomatoes). Apparently this dish was missing a signature vegetable because it wasn’t in season. I’d come back to give this place another try.

I had the hu tieu and didn’t care for the liver bits, but there was plenty of chicken & shrimp and the broth was flavorful. Service was pretty averaaaage for a Viet restaurant. :P Will be back — excited to try out more.

This place is awesome! I’ve been away from my country for a while and always craving for food that taste like this. I guess a lot of people might not like it for some reason, the level of service, the taste, etc. but this has been the only place I’m able to find again the familiar taste of Vietnamese food. I’ve been to other places with much higher popularity and better ratings but they are too Americanized for me. And I got used to this minimal level of service(that kinda reminds me of what it uses to be like in Vietnam). My relatives also love this place and use to order food from them(for gatherings, parties, etc). My partner and I use to joke that from now on we’ll go and find other vietnamese restaurants that have low ratings if we ever crave for vietnamese food. Personally to us, the food is often spiced stronger and tasted more familiar at those places(there were also two other restaurants with ratings like this one). However, I have a suggestion that also applies for other places, with low or high ratings, that is NEVER come late, like after 8PM, no matter how late they’re willing to open. Because wherever you go, you’ll likely to get the wrong meat/wrong veggies for a certain dish since they’re run out of things by the end of the day and try to substitute them with other things that don’t belong to the dish.

I ate here recently and loved the food. My wife tried the bo luc lac dish(Vietnamese shaking beef) and I tried the grilled pork and broken rice dish. both were very good and flavorful. The flavors were also authentic Vietnamese style and service was pretty good. Definitely will come back when I’m down in Georgia.

The food is fair, but the services is very SLOW and BAD. I have been waiting 15′ for the waiter to come and pick my order, then about 1 hour for my food to come. I will not recommend this place to my friends. The only thing«express» about them is check out.

Lightning fast service and decent phở. There are better Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but none will get your food to you faster than YANI Express(which I think should be capitalized Yani EXPRESS to emphasize just how fast they are).

A lot of reviewers have complained about Yany’s mediocre phở. While I can’t comment on their phở, I do have to echo a previous reviewer: dare to eat something besides phở! There are a number of great phở places around Atlanta, but Vietnamese cuisine is so rich and varied that it’s a crime never to venture outside the«phở box.» That would be like going to every Italian restaurant in the vicinity and then judging each one based solely on their spaghetti. But I digress. I lived in Vietnam for 2 years and miss nothing more than the cheap, delicious, and high quality food. I was craving some soup, and popped in on a whim. I was not disappointed; I got the banh canh cua, which is crab soup made with mushrooms, huyet(congealed blood – not for everyone), cilantro, thick, udon-like rice noodles and even thicker broth. The portions were huge! I came hungry and couldn’t finish my bowl. The service was fine; it was prompt and friendly – maybe they’ve stepped it up recently. Of course, the true test of a Viet restaurant’s quality is the presence of Vietnamese people, which there were tons of. I work near here and will definitely be back!

Overall, I thought this place was okay. The portion size of the phở was good, but it was a bit bland and the service was awful. The food came out quickly, but when I asked the lady/owner for a take-home container for my leftovers and she gave me one that was too small. When I went back and asked her for another one, she gave me attitude and didn’t want to give me another one. Also, when I came in, there were a few tables that hadn’t been cleaned off, and when I left, the tables still had all the dirty dishes/trash on them. I would not recommend this place. If you’re looking for phở/Vietnamese food, there are plenty of restaurants in the same plaza, or there is also I Luv Phở(open 24 hrs) just a couple miles down the road.

What is the Other WHITEMEATCALLED? PORK!!! They have the Best Grilled pork and broken rice in dish in Atlanta. It’s not to thick and well marinated. Plus I love the fact that this place has the garlic at the table you can mix with your sauces.

On a recent trip to the ATL, my friends and I were trying to find a good place to get phở. Since everything Vietnamese is starting to run away from Buford, we were told to take a trip to Jimmy Carter. We were lost and didn’t know where to go so we looked for the biggest landmark we knew there, the Hong Kong Market. After sitting in the parking lot, waiting for the Dim Sum joint to open, we decided to switch it up and grab phở since it was will early(9 am). We saw Yany and jumped in. Pretty small place, décor was nice. Standard Viet menu. Everything from Noodle bowls to broken rice plates. I got the egg noodle bowl, my friends got phở. I didn’t hear any complaints from my friends about the phở. Not the best, not the worst. My egg noodle bowl was ok. I never had it with cuts of liver or heart, whatever it was, before but it was still ok. All-in-all, not a bad place for a quick bite.

This place 4he years ago was great. Now It has changed. The quality in the Phở and the beef have changed. I just stopped going there after I got sick twice this year. The service is fast and friendly. It does not get as much business as it used to also.

I still go here, but no longer for the phở. The broth does not taste the way it used to. I still love their beef over rice.

This place is also called Vietnamese Cuisine in the same plaza as Hong Kong. I love that they have a variety of Viet food here, family style dishes and many other soup dishes besides Phở. Their Phở is OK, but the other soups have been great. The broths are very yummy, and they definitely season everything right… if you’re Asian. The service isn’t always the best, but I’ve noticed they’ve replaced a couple of moronic servers who will argue with you when you say they brought you the wrong thing. My white boyfriend and I ordered a couple of authentic Viet dishes(Banh Canh Cua & Hu Tieu Nam Vang) but they brought the«white» version out for him, and even cited that as the reason when we said he didn’t order that. We’ve been back many times since, and they seem to be a lot better now about bringing the full on good stuff. So insist on getting the correct stuff or you’ll miss out on the real goodness of this place.
