My friends and family come here every-time they are in town so this is my go-to place for Vietnamese food. I’m not sure about there cleanliness as they will quickly serve you water before you sit down because it was already pre-made drinks on there bar area. As for the food, I would rate it between 3.5−4, nothing beats mom cooking(my background is Vietnamese)! I found it pretty neat that you can order a spring rolls where you can make it yourself. I know some people like it with no veggies or vice versa. What I tried here as the family for four, squid salad, banh xeo, and of course the spring rolls!

The other reviewers were right! Do not visit this restaurant. Terrible service, horrible hygiene, and food taste OK. I came here for a late dinner and I felt that I was not welcome when I entered because they were going to close in one hour. The waiters were leaning against the wall playing with their phones. We finally got to order our food. We ordered Chicken Chop broken rice, spring rolls, dried noodles with spring rolls, stir fry beef with fried rice. The dishes were served however, it took 30 minutes to serve my husband’s fried rice because they were too busy with themselves and the food was actually there. The broken rice chicken chop was so-so. The dried noodles with spring rolls were OK, the stir fry beef with fried rice came late, we had to wait for his dish to come to be polite, so the noodles and broken rice were cold when my friend and I ate it. Here comes the worst part, when we were eating, one of the waiters was SWEEPING the floor right beside us, sweeping the DUST. It is really unhygienic to do that when customers are eating! I stared at him and spoke loudly about it but the waiter chose to ignore and continued to SWEEP happily. The strange part was, he chose to SWEEPAROUNDOURTABLE when the whole area of the restaurant was so huge? He could sweep the other areas first, and sweep our area when we are done, but NO, he chose to sweep around us and dust it all up! TERRIBLE! When we asked for bill, no one came to our table because the waiters were all dressed up and going home rather than waiting for us to go. We had to walk over to the counter and pay ourselves. I will definitely not recommend to go this place, it is unhygienic and service was bad. Not worth the price for the taste of food too. There are better Vietnamese restaurants out there.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. The make it yourself spring rolls are scrumptious and make for great appetizers. The shaking beef is addicting. Literally small nuggets of food-gold. One big part of the shaking beef dish I really like about Nam Phuong is they serve the beef on top of this green leaf vegetable and it’s like a salad drenched in the shaking beef sauce. A perfect complement. Speaking of gold nuggets, the salt and pepper tofu is another dish that is addicting. You can pop these tofus into your mouth all day. They have a perfect lightly fried batter/rice patty that covers the wonderful moist soft tofu center. The restaurant can sit a lot of people and was bustling when we came. Service was constant and consistent. I would recommend checking this place to anyone looking for good Vietnamese food!

Large seating area good for groups. Extensive menu with a lot of favorites. Served good, fresh veggies. They also have«33» beer, Vietnam export.

Phở was super watering down, too light, but the portion was good, and price was descent. The restaurant was too dark.

I’m originally from Atlanta and when I come back to visit, I always visit Nam Phuong. I LOVE getting the Chao Ca(Fish Porridge) here and my hubby always gets the Thit Bo Luc Lac(Shaken Beef). The place is always packed with locals and this is always a good sign.

Vietnamese food for us on New Year’s Eve is a tradition. Found this restaurant a few years ago. Consistently good food. Never had a problem with the service. Tonight we shared the Phở tom, Salt and Pepper Tofu(which was really puffy and delicious) and Bun dac biet. Have tried a few things here and all have been very good.

Authentic Vietnamese food with very friendly staff. The food comes out super quick and is really tasty. I got the broken rice with grilled pork special and it really hit the spot. My husband had the shaken beef and it was one of the better dishes that he’s had in awhile. All in all a really good experience and I would definitely recommend this spot to anybody running an authentic taste of Vietnam in Atlanta.

We were meeting friends(2 adults and 3 kids) for a dinner. Since we were such a large group, we went with one of the family dinners. We let them handle the ordering since they are Vietnamese. From what I recall, we got spring rolls, some type of salad(according to the website it should be a lotus root salad or papaya salad), sweet and sour soup with fish, fried fish, Vietnamese shaking beef, and some vegetables. Perhaps I am missing something? The family also comes with desserts. However, they forgot to give this to us at first. Our friend had to remind them about it. I frequent the Nam Phuong on Buford Highway, but have only ever ordered the shaking beef and I love it. No different at this location. Unfortunately, I was a fan of much anything else. The fried fish was OK. The vegetable was OK. Everything else would be an easy pass for the future. I’ll stick with my shaking beef.

Good phở, but just average. The interior is nice, and has a very open feel. The fried intestine appetizer is also pretty good. Smoothies are pretty good. They have the choice of tapioca or jelly that can be added tot he smoothie. In turns of phở, I would rank this place my personal top ten, but more on the backside of the top ten(maybe around #8). Overall, a pretty good experience. If someone suggested eating here I’d have no objections.

I love Nam Phuong! This is my family’s go-to place for quick and inexpensive Vietnamese food. I love their papaya salad, shaken beef, and Vietnamese iced coffee. The service is not the best, but what do you expect from an Asian restaurant. They are friendly enough and people of all cultures frequent this restaurant.

I have only ordered food to-go here. The salt and pepper squid is my all time fave– I crave it atleast once a week(so bad but soooo gooooood). Their shaken beef is also dericious, along with the pan fried noodles with seafood. I ordered the crab soup before, but it was not to my liking. I also get their summer rolls with the pork and shrimp — best rolls EVER! Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the service. I’ve read that they have horrible customer service, and I also agree. Out of the 123904234 times I’ve ordered to-go, only once was the customer service satisfactory. The food here is so good, and it’s close to my work(convenient) so I still come here for to-go. My coworkers and I have all experienced the same lady at the front(possible owner?). I would like to think that when you are calling to place an order, they would have an english-speaking person answer the phone so that they can take your order. Everytime I call(except 2 times now– YES I COUNTED), has an english speaking person answered. The initial lady who answers the phone doesn’t understand me, nor do I understand her, and while I’m telling my order(I try to speak very slowly and articulate so she gets my order correct), she transfers me over to another lady(english speaking lady) without asking me to hold or whatnot. I then realize that she never even took down my order, as the new lady asks me what I would like to place. I just don’t understand– if you can’t take orders down, DON’T ANSWERTHEPHONE! It’s not a big deal, but it sure gets annoying especially after having to repeat myself over and over again each time I order(minus the 2 times). On top of being rude– ugh. Another thing that drives me nuts is the same lady to doesn’t speak english — ABSOLUTELYRUDE. I am a fellow asian and TRY to understand situations like this, but that dang lady is so freaking rude! My coworkers and I have experienced the same thing: We go to pick-up and pay. While the first card transaction is complete, we grab the receipt and then sign and then place it in our wallet/purse and get the next card complete. While I’m in the middle of putting a receipt in my bag, the lady slams on the counter multiple times and rudely says«SIGN! SIGN!!!» while slamming. UHHHHNO. I do NOT take that crap– if you see someone in the middle of doing something, HAVESOMEFREAKINPATIENCE. I had to oh-so-kindly respond«CANYOUHOLDONONESECOND? DON’T YOUSEEMEDOINGSOMETHING??» I was the only person in line for pick-up– there was no one behind me. WHAT’S THEDAMNRUSH!!! The servers all stop and look to see what the commotion is and I’m standing there so shocked that she would yell at me for something so stupid. I’ve pretty much grown a thick skin to handle places like this with bad customer service… if only the salt & pepper squid wasn’t so good… hah

I only come here for 2 things, their Lotus Salad and their Special 3. Their Lotus Salad is pickled lotus roots paired with shrimp and picked carrots, surronded by shrimp chips. I love the texture of the salad with the sourness from the pickled carrots and lotus roots. Next is the Special 3, which is a DIY spring roll. It is huge! The min is to order is for 2 people. It comes out with lots of herbs and lettuces, with 3 types of meat, pork, beef, and shrimp; noodles, cucumbers, and pickled carrots and daikon. Those are the only two dishes that I would order… I would only come here when my mom is craving it. Their customer service is the worse… it is more of a headache to get the dishes that you want. They always seem so confused. So the stars are just for the food.

Very authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Their dining hall is rather huge and can sit a large amount of people. One of the biggest Vietnamese restaurants in the state. The décor is on the level of classy where it doesn’t go overboard and it still gives you a casual feeling about the place. They have a huge projector screen that often displays Vietnames musicians and also popular travel destinations in Vietnam. The food here is what you would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. You have tons of options here. Be sure to check out the link to the menu below for all the details. My personal favorite is the spring roll platter that comes with an assortment of meats and seafood paired with a variety of veggies that go together to make a very delicious spring roll. A lot of people have no idea what to order here and they often just go for the basic phở, there’s way more to the menu here than that. I recommend exploring the menu and doing some research ahead of time to get the most out this place. The staff here is very attentive. They will refill your drinks on the drop of a dime. I’m pretty sure some core job responsibility is to give refills. From personal experience I’ve always had good service here. A lot of reviewers say that it’s not good, but I beg to differ. It’s hard for the staff to run around and check every table when they have a packed house. They will come to you if you flag them down. Trust me they want you have a good experience here. Just understand they have a tough job(probably doesn’t pay well) so please be patient be patient with them. This a great spot for Vietnamese food, I can see why it is so population with both the Vietnamese community and those outside of it as well. Menu:

This has got to be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. This place is always packed. And I found that they are open on every national holiday. Always a plus when your looking for a place to eat when everyone else is closed. This review is based on the food only. As the service here non existent. You basically have to ask for everything, they rarely check up on you. We come here specifically for the food not the service. So don’t come here expecting awesome service. But the food on the other hand, I seem to enjoy. I love the salt & pepper squid, lotus salad and their build your own spring rolls.

We found this place randomly while looking for somewhere to eat late at night. It was located in a big plaza full of Asian businesses and restaurants. The restaurant was very pleasing to the eye, a lot fancier than most. I had their canh bun, which was pretty flavorful. I really like the Vietnamese ice coffee– it’s strong and condensed milk is the best sweetener. The only thing was the thai tea– it didn’t taste like real thai tea at all. It just tasted like syrup or something; it was even too sweet for my little cousins so it was just wasted.

Nguyen approved. I can’t think of another Vietnamese restaurant in Atlanta that taste as good as this one. I like to get the family dinner that includes spring rolls, shaken beef, papaya salad, sweet and sour fish soup, caramelized fish, and salt and pepper squid. This one of my favorite meals and it is very affordable.

Obviously, it’s a great restaurant but a great restaurant needs good customer service /servers In order to gain customer’s needs . Basically this place has poor service. Just cause a busy normal day flow doesn’t mean you have to ignore customer’s when they kept asking for checks 10 times. Very rude and would just ignore while pleasing other’s. Thanks for smiling and because of that I figured out they messed up my check.

PHOTAI Solid bowl of phở. I love that they supply you with good thai basil, ngo om [not sure what that is in English], bean sprouts, jalapeño and limes. They also have fish sauce tableside, which I don’t find common and always have to ask for. The broth tends to be VERY hot for some reason, and it stays hot throughout the whole meal… so I ask for the tai [rare beef] on the side so that I can cook it to my liking. Sometimes they put too much noodle to the broth, so I will take a lot of it out on a side dish. NUOCMIA [SUGARCANEJUICE] is really refreshing and I love to get it here. It’s not too sweet, not too diluted and has a tang of kumquat? LOCATION I love this complex that they are located in, off Jimmy Carter Blvd. The restaurant is in the same shopping center as Hong Kong Supermarket, VN Tofu, Bao Tre news, and Viet Song Media. It’s like a one stop shop for Viets here. The restaurant is nice and clean, high ceilings and nice chairs. There is also a large all in the back where they play Vietnamese Paris By Night videos and YouTube Vietnamese songs. My only qualm is during Tet, they do not take reservations for groups. Their reasoning is that they have lots of parties that come in during the day, but I still don’t understand why RSVPs are not taken. It seems that it is more logical to take the rsvp, and have a table ready for the larger parties. This made my group want to go somewhere else and we did, although we would have preferred to come here.
