This guy did a terrible job. I gave him the opportunity to make it right. Instead he was rude and tried to turn it around on me. Do not give this guy your business no matter what coupon or discount is offered. You will be disappointed. I hired him to detail my car, when I said I wasn’t happy with the job, instead of offering to work with me he proceeded to tell me that it was my 3 year olds fault for being so messy. Yes. It’s his fault you have a poor work ethic and are not good at your job. Also, he says before hand that he will do at least 2 hours for a complete interior and exterior detail. He was here for an hour. Also, he only schedules months out and only responds to emails sporadically. Run away as quickly as you can. I wish I had seen all of these other reviews before I tried him. Trust me — the negative reviews on here are 100% accurate. This guy will do nothing but give you excuses, tell you why it’s not his fault, and he was abrasive and rude even before he got here to do the job.

Had appointment made for father’s day in June. He called and said his stuff was stolen and he would have to reschedule. No real problem for me, so we reschedule July 5. He no shows on me and when I contacted him he said he forgot to put it on his calendar. We rescheduled again and he cancelled because of a chance of rain. We rescheduled again, but someone backed into my car so I needed to get that fixed before the detail was done so I cancelled. I contacted him this morning about finally getting the detail done, and he said I would have to wait for a cancellation. What? Every other text message he sent was professional and courteous. Based on the other reviews, I think he may be trying to do too much. These ads have been running from at least April. I guess the exhaustion and stress will make anyone a little touchy.
There are lots of other detailers out there– I advise using one of them.

I’m not sure what the deal is with the negative reviews… I bought a Living Social Deal, scheduled my detailing on the website and everything went perfectly. Not only was I able to book my appointment on-​line, but I received an email 48-​hours in advance confirming the appointment. Gerald called approx 2 hrs before the appointment to confirm again. Once he arrived, he did an amazing job! Seriously, I’m terrible at keeping my car clean; it’s never looked better! Once he finished both the interior and exterior, my car looks amazing! Not only did he do a phenomenal job, he really takes pride in the work. I’m a repeat customer for sure. Thanks Gerald!

I already wrote a review for this guy but I guess it was removed. He called the day of the service and said he was running behind. Said he’d be there at 2 instead of the noon appointment time we’d agreed upon. No problem. I had even made him a pot of coffee. He pulls up, tells me I need to move my truck. I ask if he wants me to pull it further back on the driveway or all the way out on the road. At this, he literally turned his truck around and SPED off… and I mean throwing gravel with his tires. I called and left a few messages, but he hasn’t responded. I intend to seek some kind of civil damages for the time and money he cost me. This is not the end of the story with this guy. What a piece of work.

I sure wish I had checked the Unilocal reviews before purchasing my Living Social deal! This was by far the worst «detail» I’ve ever had. The owner of the company is extremely unprofessional, rude, and lazy. He was well over 40 minutes late to my appointment, and then did a half a$$ job cleaning my car. Save your money and go elsewhere!

I also wish I had a way of doing «0» stars for this guy.
I also got caught up in his Groupon scam. With Groupon, you pay in advance and I set the appointment with him. Right before he was supposed to show up, he called and said he was not coming. That’s it. Got my money and I got nothing since Groupon does not do refunds. And to top it all off, this guy is sending me emails from his Constant Contact account to buy more stuff from him. Geesh!

I just wanted to update that not only does this guy have horrible work ethics, he lies. I just read what he replied back to my review.
I wasn’t late to the appointment. I was waiting for him at the appointed time at the agreed upon place.
I bought the coupon through Loclly not Groupon as he has stated. I have never bought from Loclly again after this experience and I never will. I will never buy another car detail «deal» again because I never want to go through this type of sham deal again.
Even if the trunk isn’t a part of the car according to his standards, there was dirt and debris all over the car, especially around the crevices of the car seats.

Like the other reviewers, would also give this guy a zero if that were possible. Buyer beware — if you buy a detailing you will get a so-​so wash and wax. I should have read Unilocal first, total waste of money.

Great deal on HOD and great service. I had some HOD credit because Klean Karz (zero stars) stood me up twice. I bought 2 vouchers and they did a super job. One vehicle was an SUV and they did not even up-​charge me. They have an online reservation system with a real-​time calendar which makes it super easy to schedule and you get a confirmation. Very professional. I am shocked that there are less than stellar reviews.

The customer service is awful there is no consideration or compromising of any type. They had a 6pm appointment available on their website but they cancelled because they say they don’t do 6pm appointments, so why post it. So when I called to get an understanding of the cancellation Gerald was rude and had a bad attitude. I have already been waiting 2 months to get my car detailed but you want to push it back another month. I would not recommend GK AUTO SPA to anyone. Don’t know why they have a business if they can’t treat their customers properly. Thankfully, I didn’t get my car done because their service probably would have been as bad as his attitude.

I had a great experience — not sure about the bad reviews but I am very pleased. My car looks great, like brand new (it’s an 05) and my mats are clean and I have never been able to get them clean. I’d do it again — and will — when it needs it.

Guess I had a different experience: showed up on time, took the allocated amount of time, and looked good afterwards. Did a great job with the interior which had not had a deep cleaning in a while.
Would use again and recommend.

I bought this service through a Groupon offer… here was the offer: Complete Interior and Exterior Detail and Premium Car Wash (a $ 250 value) It went on to say that basically my vehicle would be clean as a whistle inside and out. The Premium package that I ordered (and paid for) was inside and out, this was paid for on January 29 and the first available appointment was 2÷28÷12. First let me say that my first appointment was on 2÷28÷12 at noon. By 12:15 I was calling him to find out where he was. He said is it raining there? I responded NO. He said he would be here in about 1 ½ hours, he was at another customers. I told him I would have appreciated a call. About 45 minutes after the call it started raining, so I called him and told him it was raining. He was to call me that evening to reschedule. Did I hear from him… NOPE. not for a few days and that was by email. So, FINALLY (6 days later) on March 5^th he got me rescheduled (seems his schedule is to busy) March 10^th at 3pm. Well 3:15pm on ³⁄₁₀ and still no word from him and he isn t here cleaning my vehicle. So I call. He is at another customers house who can t find his coupon and said he could be here in about 1 ½ hours and would call me back once the other customer figured out what he was doing. He calls back and tells me it will be 2 hours before he can be here. He finally showed up at 5:15pm. A interior detail that was stated to take more than 2 hours for the interior took less than 1 hour. The other 30 minutes was spent on the exterior. The windows weren t cleaned, water was still running down in several parts of the truck and his attitude is not customer friendly it was basically indifferent. Wanted to leave and didn t really care of the work product he had delivered. When I asked him to clean the windshield and the running boards you would have thought I asked him to completely re-​do the vehicle. The inside of the vehicle looks pretty good, the outside got rid of a small scratch but I could have gotten the same service at the local car wash for about the same money and a heck of a lot less stress and time wasted. As a small business owner myself I would never treat my clients time with the same disregard as Gerald King does. Do yourself a favor; take your car to your local car wash and get the detail package. Usually the cost is about $ 80. You can get it done on your time and not get someone who schedules appointments and doesn t show up on time or bother to call you to tell you he is running late. I got the feeling had I not called, he wouldn t have shown up at all. I was very disappointed when I looked over the vehicle and I saw mud on the running boards, the windows had not been cleaned as there was obvious stuff on them (likes bugs still on the outside of the windshield) and something on the inside. I am very thankful I did not pay the $ 250 as I would have been ticked enough to file a dispute with my credit card company. I would think that making an offer of a lower amount was an avenue to get more steady customers, as I would have loved for this to work out and have him clean my car monthly but that won t happen. Real opportunity missed for this small business. Offering a discount should be a way of gaining more customers and that did not happen for this small business for this customer. I should add that when I complained, I got some very unprofessional emails from him.

Gerald did a seriously amazing job with my car last week. It had not been washed since early April and I had been on several road trips — South Carolina bug juice, road grime, etc. had embedded into my paint and nothing but a full on restorative detail was going to help. Two and a half hours later, it looked like a new car. My friends noticed immediately and were amazed. Gerald even helped me to put on my new car «bra» to help cover up some of the chipped paint on the front due to road debris. Go Gerald!
