I have shopped at Belk since I was a child(way back in the ’60’s). I like Belk. My complaint isn’t about this particular location but Belk stores in general. Specifically, Belk sends out coupons on a regular basis to their charge customers that are completely worthless. I had a «special» coupon provided to me as a regular charge customer that was supposed to be good for any day, for the entire day. I went shopping with my son so I had a variety of items for him and for me. The 20% off coupon was supposed to have very few exclusions. It turned out that the coupon did not discount any of my items… nothing. The cashier also had a 20% off coupon which did not work. Bottom line, unless you are selecting items that are full price and NOT a designer label, the coupons do not work on your purchases. I don’t like to be lured into a store with the promise of a discount only to find out that the discount doesn’t apply to the majority of items in the store. I use coupons quite a bit for all types of purchases. In hindsight I should not have made the purchase but I spent quite a bit of time making my selections. If you are a couponer like me and like for the coupons to actually discount your purchase, try Kohl’s or Macy’s…their coupons usually work.

BIGGIRLSNEEDLOVETOO! I recently stopped by this Belk while looking for a special occasion dress. When it comes to plus size fashions, they have nothing. No, I am not exaggerating, they had NOTHING! If you have larger assets or just need a dressier option beyond a size 14, this Belk is not a viable option and you will need to search elsewhere. However, when it comes to casual clothing, they have more options available that are fashion forward, colorful and tasteful. While shopping during this particular visit, the employee was very helpful with going through the racks and trying to help me find the perfect dress. Although I did not find a dress, I did appreciate her tenacity. Checking out was great and there was no waiting in a line,(unlike other locations where you always have to wait). I would love to see them expand their clothing options for larger women. I

Ya know… once you give Belks a try you’ll keep coming back! They have everything you need for the entire family. Quality quality quality even their store brand is 5 times better quality than Target Old Navy(we won’t even rate Walmart) etc. great service no pressure easy to locate what you want and swift checkout. Good shopping close to home!

This is a smaller location but the associates are friendly, there are tons of fitting rooms, and the store is very clean. I didn’t trip over items in the aisles and the clerks made sure to quickly reshelve items left in the fitting rooms. They also had several deals in the store ranging from 30−70%.

I LOATHE shopping for clothes. I absolutely hate going into a clothing store, looking through racks and racks of items, trying them on, dealing with clothes hangers and then dealing with the absurd price tag. I hate digging around, searching for the ideal item, navigating narrow aisles and dealing with clutter. It can be overwhelming and not enjoyable. But, I decided to venture here anyway. I’m in need of an Easter dress for myself(haven’t bought one in 10 years), that will used for multiple weddings this summer. So I was in need of a functional dress to wear on multiple occasions. Since I needed something of good quality and not some raggedy outfit, I budgeted $ 100 for the dress. Coming into this place, I was pleasantly surprised. The whole place was bright and cherry. Ample lighting. Ample space. Ample signage. And lots of bright colors everywhere! I guess I thought I was going into Hollister and I would need a flashlight to see. Instead of searching aimlessly for dresses randomly stocked throughout the Women’s department, I knew exactly where to go and where to look. A whole large section dedicated to just dresses! And thankfully, they were having an Easter sale! They had a nice selection of all different types of dresses, so I loaded up on several different choices in my size and went to the fitting room. The fitting room was pretty clean. They had signs posted everywhere reminding customers to put their clothing items on the rack instead of leaving them in the fitting room, but, of course, not everyone does that. There were a few dresses in my dressing room, but nothing to fret over. I tried on a handful and then BOOM. I found my dress. Girls will understand, once you put it on, you just know it’s the one. It fits, it flatters and it works for you. Finally, a dress to satisfy my pickiness. Once I saw the price tag, though, I was dismayed. I returned the dress to the rack I got it from and lo and behold, my dress is on sale! My dress was $ 99! Perfect because it fit my budget. I walked up to the counter to check out, ready for pay the $ 99. Then I remembered I had some Belks gift cards from Christmas. One for $ 40, one for $ 12. Then I remembered I had a 20% off coupon from the mail. After all the discounts and gift cards, I paid $ 32 for my dress that was originally $ 138! I saved $ 100+! I usually hate department stores, but I’ll come back for the cleanliness, the organization, the layout, the signage and the nice people who helped me check-out.

This is a nice Belk considering it’s small size. They have a large selection of designer items, and a smaller selection of moderately priced items. The employees are super nice and the store is clean and organized. I do like shopping here when I am in the area.

Belk is my favorite small format, privately owned, not Kohl’s store. Good parking. Bright lighting. Clean store and helpful folks. Most familar with the men’s section. Carry some pretty good brands like Columbia, Nautica, Lucky and such. Good clearence rack can get you discounts of 75% off MSRP. Fond of their Private Label jeans(Red Camel) — fit and look good — in the $ 30 to $ 50 range. Wonder what happed to Lindsey…

This is going to sound more like a «thank you» letter to Michelle at the Estee Lauder counter than anything because, well, it is. Not that I have anything against this Belk location, but Michelle saved me. And I am in debt to her. I don’t wear or know much about make up, but here I was — 4 days before my sister’s birthday dinner and no sign of the new bronzer she wanted. I spent the morning calling literally 8 other stores in the city, including 3 other area Belks and NONE were as helpful as Michelle. When I finally got ahold of her, not only did she mention that they actually got the product in, but she remembered seeing one console recently and was going to look for it and call me back. How excited was I?! First awesome move. She called back about 10 minutes later and said that the counter had been rearranged the day prior but that she was confident it was still there. She was going to call the girl who worked yesterday(but was off that day) and ask her where she put it. Again, offering to call me back as soon as she found out. Honesty and dedication. For a $ 40 bronzer? This girl must be out of her mind! Nope. Just really helpful and good at her job! On my way home from work, she called back with the good news. She hunted it down and had it waiting for me with my name on it. YATZY! I knew this would totally make my sister’s day, and it made me happy I could hunt down such a precious make up treasure in Atlanta. And I have Michelle’s persistence and personal service to thank. Michelle defines what customer service should be. If I wore make up, I would shop as much with her as I was able to!

This is a very well managed, clean Belk. I always feel like I get a great deal. It is my go to department store for all my basic apparel. I am not into shopping, but this store makes it quick, easy, and a great value.
