Bare Waxing Studio

I went in and got a sugaring Brazilian wax and eyebrow threading. It was awesome! Very quick, which is what you want for these processes. Also the price for both processes was not even the cost of a Brazilian waxing at spa sydell. it was the first time I have tried sugaring. It was not as painful as waxing, but I did feel it. However the clean up after was so much better, just use water and you are done.

Things I love about Bare Wax: beautiful spa décor, friendly staff, very clean rooms and processes, reasonable prices for waxing services.
Matter of fact. I can’t think of anything that I don’t like about this location. I have been patronizing Bare for about 2 years now for my waxing needs. Prior to finding Bare I had visited several different salons and spa some good but over priced and others with terrible experiences. I have visited with different technicians when coming to this location and have always had a good experience. I highly recommend Heidi and Ami. Their online booking process is simple and efficient. I have not tried any sugaring services so I cannot include that in my review. I have done threading here twice, while the service is great, I believe their pricing on threading is too high. Based solely on the fact that I can find threading services closer to my home with the same quality of service for half the price. However, my review and rating is based on the quality of wax service and customer service that I consistently receive at Bare Waxing Studio.

Being a veteran waxer I’ve grown to recognize the good from the bad waxing people. Today was my first time coming to Bare. I usually go to Waxing by Andreia in Buckhead but since I was in the area I decided to try here. The salon has a very crisp clean spa feel which I loved. The receptionist was also very nice and pretty. They took me back to my room rather fast and then the waxing began! She was very fast I think I was out of there in 10 mins. Would I come back if I was in the area? Of course!

Beware that these aren’t true lash extensions but are cluster lashes (not good for your lashes because they don’t fall out naturally with your lashes like extensions do) I’m still trying to grow mine back from here!

I really wanted to like Bare.
The location is awesome. The décor is great. Receptionist is clear and helpful. And Heidi was super nice.
But unfortunately, I just finished having to tweeze about 40 hairs, in an area that was supposed to be completely bare. Because ya know, «Brazilian» means «everything gone». Not, «once you get home realize that she missed a bunch [not just like tiny ones, like very obvious, definitely long enough to wax hairs] and have to tweeze some yourself and then have to ask your husband to get the ones. ya know, in the back».
I’ve been getting Brazilians for a couple years now so I pretty much know what to expect. I did like that the wax was less painful than other places I’ve gone. But maybe that’s due to the fact that this was actually more of a touch up than a full Brazilian. Which just adds to why I’m surprised she missed so much. It was a pretty easy job in my opinion.
Also, I was surprised that when she said she was done and would leave me to wipe off and get changed, I was left with a lot of wax left over all over me. Took about a minute to get it all off and still found some on my hip when I got home.
It all around felt like a rushed job. Which I can understand because it was the end of the day, she probably wanted to just go home, and not have to pay attention to these details. But… Doesn’t leave a great impression, and it sucked having to spend half an hour tweezing.
Speaking of time, it also took longer than im used to. Normally a Brazilian takes about 15mins for me, and there are no issues afterwards. This was about 20, and they said they normally take 20−30mins.
I hate to sound like a complainer and mention another thing, but I was also a bit surprised that I got a fingerprint sized broken blood spot on my skin. It’s only happened once before when I tried to wax myself.
Heidi was super friendly, and probably my favourite person of all of the people I’ve had a wax done by. But at the end of the day, I’m paying to have the hair removed. Not for a nice personality and a cool location.
I’d like to return and give it another chance, but not if I’m going to get the same results. Maybe I’ll stick with my usual place.

I’ve had my brows threaded here twice by two different people, and the experience has been top notch both times. I did not have to wait. The service providers were friendly and knowledgeable. And most importantly, my brows look great! Looks like I have found a winner — I will keep booking my appointments here!

I just recently moved to Georgia and today was my first time in! I will definitely be back! I had 3 services by Ami C. and she did a great job on all 3! Very professional and great pricing as well!

Since going to Bare Wax studio for my eyebrows I haven’t been to any other place. When I initially went there it was after much review. I had become tired of allowing different people to do my eyebrows at the nail salon and needless to say they were a hot mess. I got my eyebrows done by Janeida and she was wonderful. Before she started, she gave me a mirror and explained what she saw; I told her that my goal was to grow out my eyebrows because they had been thinned out. We came up with a plan and she went to work. Since then I’ve been going back and I’m still pleased with her work. I get compliments on my eyebrows all the time now and I’m happy with how they have grown in.

I have been to Bare before, with great results. Unfortunately not this time. My legs look and feel terrible. The same strips were used over and over, resulting in patches of different length hairs all over my legs. Karen told me she had over 20 years experience so who was I to question her using one strip per leg? I got out of the shower the very next morning and felt the stubble and random hairs while drying my legs. Very disappointed, as I like Bare — it’s clean and pleasant. But I was can’t waste my money and time like this.

This was my first time getting waxed and I was nervous!!! Janeida did such an amazing job! It wasn’t pain free but it was as painless as possible. She was great and told me exactly what I needed to do. I even had to bring my infant baby in the room and she was crying and Janeida didn’t even flinch. (Thank goodness!!! Haha). Anyone wanting to try it should go here and see Janeida.
I also have had my eyebrows threaded by Heidi here and she was great as well.

This was my first time ever getting a Brazilian so naturally I was nervous. As soon as I met Janeida though, she eased my nerves! She was so sweet and chatted with me the whole time. The whole process was smooth and pretty quick and I will definitely be coming back monthly! She also threaded my brows and they look amazing! I highly recommend Bare and Janeida!

Janedia is great! I highly recommend her. My brows looked a hot mess when I walked it and now they look amazing. Janedia was very nice and very helpful. I went in for an eyebrow tint and threading, my brows were very thin and sparse and now they look amazing! She works fast and I also liked that she explained how to fill in my brows and where to fill them in. I highly recommend her and bare wax studio in general.

Went in on Saturday for my first wax on Saturday and I had read all these different reviews on people who work there and every review about Karen being amazing was 100% true. I had my bikini area done and she made me feel 100% comfortable and talked through the whole thing with me. She was amazing. The salon was clean and very nice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get a wax done.

I’m a veteran waxer (been going nearly 20 years). I discovered sugaring about a year ago in NYC. Since moving to GA, I was only able to find sugaring in Atlanta.
I recently found Bare, and I’m completely thrilled.
I had full leg, bikini, underarm, lip, and eyebrow (wax for eyebrows) with Jeneida. She was completely wonderful. Quick yet thorough. We chatted the whole time. She is very meticulous and even used the sugar wax on a few places to get any places that the sugaring missed.
The place is clean and professional. And the prices are significantly less than Atlanta salons. (I paid under $ 150 here, it was over $ 200 in town — and close to $ 200 in NY.) They’re open Sundays and have online booking.
I will definitely be returning.
(They also offer eyelash tinting, which I love getting done, so I’ll be doing that next time as well.)

My legendary brow girl (based in Charlotte, NC) who changed the brow game for me trained Janeida. Get your brows threaded/​maintained by Janeida! She is so sweet and you will have rockstar brows. Yes, you!

My aesthetician Janeida was wonderful, however, my lashes barely lasted 48 hours! I followed the care instructions exactly as they were stated, but began to experience lifting by the 2^nd day. When I called to speak with the owner (or manager) Kayla about the experience, she became very defensive; she didn’t even hear me out. She immediately began telling me that I couldn’t have followed the instructions properly, that a refund was not an option, and that their services aren’t guaranteed, although I never mentioned or expected a refund. She did eventually offer me another application and apologized for my dissatisfaction.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the studio, but the customer service I received from management left a lot to be desired. Again, my aesthetician and the young lady at the front desk were wonderful to work with. I am disappointed; I thought I had found a lash studio to call home.

As someone who hates change, I was skeptical to try a new place for my waxing. I have been twice now to Bare, and I love it! The atmosphere is clean and modern, and the gals are super friendly. Karen is quite possibly the best person I’ve ever been waxed by! And the fact that she’s super sweet and hilarious is icing on the cake! Try this place– it is wonderful!

I used Unilocal reviews while traveling. Saw the reviews on Bare Waxing Studio and decided to try it. First impression was «This spa is beautiful». It was very clean and I was greeted with a smile right away. Karen did my Brazilian and she did great. She talked to me the whole time to keep me distracted. She was fast and efficient. The wax is hard and worked well on me. I wished I lived close because I would be a regular. Also since it was my first time it cost me $ 35! So cheap!

I went in for the second time to get my eyebrows waxed. Making an appointment online is not only easy, but also very convenient. You can select the person you want through the system and the email confirm arrives almost instantly.
Arriving at the salon the first thing I noticed was how bare the reception area is. But it’s a good bare (like you want your wax to be) with uncluttered spaces and a clean, bright white décor.
I can’t remember who did my brows the first time, but this time I had Heidi and she did a great job. When I first sat down she handed me a mirror and asked me what I was looking for. I have some serious brows, so as long as they aren’t butchered I’m generally not too picky. I told her to just make on them look good. And she did!
I’d never had threading done before, but Heidi asked me if I would mind if she used threading to clean them up a bit on top and I agreed. It was an odd feeling, but not painful. The end result was just perfect. I couldn’t be more pleased.

I am a veteran waxer and this was one of the most painful brazilian’s I have ever had. It was also one of the longest.
The woman who did mine did not seem to have a lot of experience with hard wax. She was very impatient for the wax to set up and kept pulling it long before it was ready. Most that know what they are doing will apply the wax to a few different spots at the same time so it can set and then go back and pull it. She just applies waits a few seconds then starts to pull. Ouch!
Upon cleanup and inspection at home I found that the back has a lot of hair left. She didn’t even try to get the ones she missed with a second pass or even do a looksee to check her work. I do not recommend this place at all. Stay far away.
